One of the best rock groups ever. I’m 73 & have seen & heard many, but Michael Hutchence had a very special essence & played to the audience that almost hypnotized us . Thanks to Australia for such a gift. U are so missed, INXS was brilliant.
"you ask me...and I'll always try to hear. Past money...and colors...and make believe. Good cheap values for a thrifty clown..." To look at you...and never feel..it's so good...for me tonight.. What is the name to call? For a different kind of girl that knows the feelings...but never the words...
I have two friends who met INXS… and wish to god he never met Paula. But like Jim Morrison, he wasn’t long for this world. So talented and handsome, he deserved better happier romance in life.
It’s not underrated. It’s actually one of their more popular songs for the people who really love this band. I’ve been listening to this song since when it came out. Stop with the underrated BS, it marks you as a newb.
What is with this "underrated" comments, geeze, it feels like the "slow ones, with swollen eyes" always use the "underrated" comment, its so sissy and limp wrist, man William, grow up. They are LOVED by MILLIONS, no underrated here CHUM.
When Noal Gallager famously expoused at the VH-1 awards, "Why is it a 'has-been' is presenting to a 'soon-to-be' this year's award is beyond me?" I say, "F#*× Y^-"! Oasis proved to be a big blip on a radar. No multi-album legacy there. No reinvention of their wanna-be Beatle derivative moment. Most importantly, no heart and soul that can touch the legacy of INXS. Hey Noel, are you smart enough to write something as cool and as profound as "The Stairs"? Can you ever be soulful enough to have Ray Charles share a stage with you? I think not. Would Hutch and the boys be crass enough to shove it your face? Probably not. Why bother?
I love to watch this video each day of my life, the passion on his voice is something spectacular, he will be the best frontman ever, I love him soooooo much, my lovely poet... for ever in my heart!!!
I loved when they did this song in "Never Tear Us Apart". (My wife hates that I keep replaying this one part over and over.) Michael Hutchence was one of the best front men of a 80s band without a doubt. The world lost a brilliant artist when he passed.
L❤VE this...my favorite from Shabooh shoobah...love Kirk singing along in perfect harmony with Michael...INXS=perfection,there will not be such talented musicians like they were!❤❤🎵🎶🎤🎸🎹🎷🥁🔝
F**king incredible live performance! I had no idea they were so tight live, especially the vocals. I mean, I knew Michael was great, but the backing vocals are on freaking point! They're the Voltron of live bands! All that nuance comes through on all instruments!

I remember hearing about Michael's death on the way back from a U2 concert (Pop Mart Tour)in New Orleans. We were just pulling into Tuscaloosa when it came on the radio . Man, those were the days.
I relive college every time I listen to Inxs and especially this song. I believe it was on the Valley Girl soundtrack. Nicolas Cage, awesome, and Deborah Foreman, beautiful.
This track has absolutely everything from Shabooh Shoobah. INXS were so talented as a band they could have carried over as a 5 piece after the tragic loss of Michael Hutchence as Hutch was irreplaceable and only an INXS member should have taken on lead vocals.
Vividly still remember the feeling after reading the news of his sudden passing..now there wont be time "to look at you" on stage again #RIPMickHutchence #INXS40
I always wondered, is the lyric “good cheap values for a thrifty clown” or “Gucci values for a thrifty clown?” And love Andrew here, in his Indiana Jones phase lol.

Has anyone here seen them back in 84 i think at the Festival hall in melbourne. I went was so close but only took photos on a shitty camera. Hey was the 80s
Amazing video exclamation this was win they were hungry before they hit superstardom and everything changed. Also his fall slowly destroyed his health. Have to mention that slag Paula that put him through hell. You could have had any woman in the world why he chose her Is a true mystery
Michael was brilliant so terribly sad he died way to soon. It does take two to tango tho. Paula was a good woman, she loved him deeply. If Michael hadn’t been punished by the prick of a taxi driver I feel sure he’d still be with us
does anyone on earth know when/where this concert is from? im guessing in America somewhere in 1983? vevo won't give me any answers or even respond to me, wtf?

Van Halen is definitely one rock band in the early 80s, before stupid van hagar, if you saw halen in concert before hagar the horrible, you saw a monster that rolled over everything in its path! you saw guys on stage actually havin' fun! enjoying to the max it all! not all this serious shit like other bands who thought they were so cool when they were just shit.............David Lee Roth's gotta be the greatest frontman ever! as great as eddie is, he knew for full pleasure/enjoyment, he needed a band, and there never was and never will be again a band like Van Halen, hagar fucked up, he never was van halen, he was already kickig ass with his own band, he majorly fucked up by going to van halen. not to mention the other disasters, as baloney cheroni, etc.

I was lucky enough to see INXS in concert when i was 14. One of the perks of being old! We saw the best shows.

Good God, that man was beautiful.
This is gorgeous to find. How young they -we all were.! It was a great time to see INXS soar from Aussie pubs to the worldwide stage.
I’m a Brit who will love their music forever
