A well deserved young man The respect he puts out pays off. Awesome Bill has to be SO PROUD AND RIGHTFULLY SO& WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT MR.HENDRICK he puts 120 percent into every team and it was a team effort with all 4 teams knowing they stood behind Chase I'm sure. Congratulations Young man looking for the repeat
I missed all the races over the weekend because of a death in the family. But I was glad to see young ones winning championships, congrats to cindric, creed and elliot!!
The crowd roars were like if Dale earnhardt, Richard petty, jimmie johnson, or jeff gordon winning the championship. I am happy for Chase Elliott but such a shame denny hamlin couldn’t get it done. I love the fans back at the track so we can hear their great roars
I'm a Chase Elliot fan since he took over for Gordon: I will say I prefer the old point system from the 90's. Kevin Harvick should have been eligible to run for the championship. He dominated the season. Gordon would have more championships under the old point system.
It’s strange all those people supporting the change of format have been replaced by people saying they are so happy for Chase To all the people who don’t understand irony I do know understand why Get rid of the playoffs!
Elliott haters: He didn't deserve it, Harvick did. Well sorry to tell you haters, but under the current format, which all drivers have to follow, Chase did in fact deserve to win the championship. He won when it mattered most, unfortunately the rest of the drivers didn't. Is the playoff format perfect? No. Was the chase format perfect? No. Was the Winston Cup format perfect? It wasn't either. This is the format for now, but it doesn't mean the champion doesn't deserve it.
Winston Cup format was the best format because you had to be the best and win races finish in the top 5 . And more enough about the points. This format i always disliked because you could have 5 DNF and still win the championship. Sorry but this formatt is more of luck vs skills.
@@airwolf269 Woah wait a minute. You had to win races? Nope. Bill Elliott won 11 races one year and lost to a guy with 1 win. It happens in every format NASCAR has chosen. In this Format you pretty much have to win to make playoffs, then you have to win to guarantee a spot in the next round, then you pretty much have to win the final race to be the champion.
@@PugsNotDrugs4 Never said anything about win races. Think your replying to someone else. I just posted about what you just said. Dale Sr. said "It's not about how many races you win its about how many top 5 you show. Rusty got knocked out the same way and just like bill DNF dont win championships back then.
How many 24yr olds, in any forum, win a championship, and are so vocal about their crew chief/coach getting the win? I hope to God he wins more, but God doesn't and shouldn't care about this stuff. If this is the pinnacle, so be it. I'm good.
Remember, without the playoffs: Jimmie would have never been a 7 time champion. The amazing 2011 title battle would have never happened. Logano would have never beaten the big 3 in 2018. Harvick would have wrapped the championship at Texas, and Elliott would have not gotten his first championship. See? The playoffs has created exciting moments. Yes people will say chase didn’t deserve it, but this is the definition of coming in clutch. Can we just be happy smh. (Also congrats chase!)
@@ShereeAshleyArend So what you're saying is that NASCAR was right to bend over backwards and give Kyle Busch the right to make the Chase, even though he missed 1/3 of the season, just to write a comeback story for the season.
Jeff Gordon would be 7 time if it weren't for the Chase and Playoff formats, and Johnson would only have 3 I think. The reality is, this is the format, and all drivers know what they need to do to win the championship. Chase got it done, the others didn't and he deserves the championship under the current format.
Actually was a boring race. Congrats to Chase. Found out later after I turned the race off. Knew Chase was gonna win and had more important things to do then watching something I knew was gonna happen. Not a single car was even close to Chase yesterday, yet he was never great at this track before? Kinda wierd but I guess mometum is the everything in Nascar today. Even Harvick was way off. Just a complete flip flop ending to season. Makes you wonder?? And please add length to this race. It's too short for a championship race. Should have gone into the lights to add variety and strategy.
@@PugsNotDrugs4 Still can't take away the fact that race sucks. Boring each year. Bring back Homestead or a much strategic track. Just my opinion. Sounds like some folks in here are basking in their glory and can't see anything else. That's okay. I won't name call randomly. But will defend if I'm attacked. Peace out.
It once was the greatest sport back in 80's to 90's when racing was racing but then NASCAR got greedy and made wimps out of the drivers. If Dale Sr. was still alive this sport would still be great.
"We did it!"...emphasis on "we". NASCAR is a team sport. Great champ, great race, great season
This race was my favorite 🏁🏆
This made my day. Huge fan and I can't wait to see how many more he wins.
Well he won at cota
CONGRATULATIONS to Chase Elliott & the Entire TEAM.
I feel so old. Gordon retires, jr retires, stewart, now johnson. And Elliot is champ. 37 never felt so old
An emotional race
Was awesome being in person for 1 of the 5 wins this year during his championship season!!!

Chase is on the case!
As The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champion.
Very good race. Finally my favorite driver wins the championship. Can't wait until next year. CHASE ELLIOTT 2020 CHAMPIONSHIP
Congrats to chase and the number 9 team well done . hell yeah

Felicidades a chase Elliot por ese gran triunfo ya van 2 victorias seguidas
Already a worthy successor to Jeff Gordon. I had my doubts at the beginning of his career, but those have long washed away!

The real champion is Chase’s jackman, let’s be honest
Yeah
The Team won. If Chase thinks it's all him this will be his last win because in Nascar it's a team effort and no (i) in team.
