- Poecilotheria regalis, Indian Ornamental egg sack removal and care

Anyone else’s anxiety playing up with the tank perched on the end of the table?! 😱😂
😂😂😂😂❤
God as he was talking moving his arms around I pictured it crashing down onto the floor 😱😭 how horrible that would have been
@@DoorsToHideBehind156 Its not happened yet my friend ❤
So hard to watch her try to hold on😞...the most beautiful T , imho
Yea that part fucked me up:(
@libsareshitstains ! we know they weren’t...but she doesn’t know that. All she knows is that her children were stolen by a predator and that she wasn’t strong enough to protect them.
@@zeynabuthman639 Instict tells it to do protect it and the same instinct may tell it to eat the eggs.
Yes she was holding until he tired her out good thing Dave is a good man he’s gonna take care of her and the babies
@@zeynabuthman639 you're giving it human emotions. It's acting purely on instinct, like a computer. The second it removes it's leg from the egg sack it has no knowledge of it's offsprings existence. using the computer analogy, it's loaded up a new program to react to the situation it's currently in. It doesn't have a central brain to think, no memory, no ability to learn, it can only react to changes it detects through it's senses
The amount of information ive gotten from your channel is amazing! Your channel is definitely one of the main reasons ive seen the success I have when keeping tarantulas (and even my other inverts too) especially when it comes to enclosures, having a natural setup(like most of yours) looks both amazing and makes the tarantulas much more comfortable. I cant remember the last time ive had a T bolt out of an enclosure when doing maintenance, always straight into their hides/burrows. Keep up the great work dave!
Thank you so much for your kind words and im so happy that my methods have proved helpful for others to use with there animals and spiders , thanks for your support my friend and I hope you continue to enjoy our channel 👍❤️
I agree! I have learned how to rehouse properly & patiently! And I just love, and now say, how you say “Absolutely Stunning!” Hahaha 👍
Nobody's gonna mention how precariously that tank sit's uneven on the edge...biting my nails on that! Your spiders are stunners
Never thought I would say this about a spider but she walks with absolute grace and beauty! 🥰
I don't know about spider's feelings but I feel kinda sad for her when she loses her egg sack. Beautiful spider indeed, nicely shot as well!
There maternal instincts said very soon after the sack is removed almost instantly 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties interesting!
I am arachnophobic and just watching you care for and love your spiders and their babies...relaxes me. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤🕷🕷🕸
Welcome my friend ❤️👍
I`m also arachnophobic so I guess i`m hear for the same reasons
Oh, poor mama, you did a good job. 💖
Awwwww such a good mumma. She didn’t want to give up her babies 😭😭
Just broke my ❤heart to watch her fight for her babies.
I know that you treat your spiders with the up most respect..However, that particular part just gets too me.
"AND YES!" I'm a big-titty baby! 🤪
Your channel has taught me and my family so much.
Thank you!
You setting the enclosures on the corner of the table makes me as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a roomful of rocking chairs!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love your choice in back ground music. Calm and gentle, instead of raging metal or horror music. It fits the beauty of these beasties so much better!
You could tell the spider was DEVASTATED when she lost the egg. It was like she lost the will fight and live. Poor thing...but she's still a very spoiled and well cared for spider.
Her maternal instinct is very low once the sack is gone she reverts back to hunting and feeding very quickly 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties yeah, I can tell she's in great hands with you. You have great videos.
Absolutely fascinating!!! I did feel sorry when she wouldn't let her babies go ❤ gorgeous girly!! Thank you 😊
Thanks Susan once its gone they forget almost instantly and will feed 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties learning so much about ts thanks to your videos, I could watch for hours 😍
Awwww how she fought for her babies😭😭😭😭🤗
Wow...the yellow on the underside of her legs is gorgeous!
She fought so hard to hold onto her babies..
I've kept a few species of T before but am starting to get into the hobby a bit more seriously. I can only aspire to have the skill level you possess. Your videos are great and watching you work is always a pleasure. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you my friend im glad your enjoying the content 👍
Man what a stunning Regalis and good mother at that. Poor girl didn't want to let go of that egg sac. Gl on the babies!
Thanks matey she is a good mum and a lovely spider I raised her from a sling 👍
I started sweating when you put your hand on the piece of cork to pull it back! Great video, thank you!
Be Calm 😂😂 Be Gentle 😂😂 Love Your Spider ❤️safety first always 👍
bit of a tug-a-war there. she's like "give it back there mine" lol
wow, i've never seen a tug-o-war with a tarantula before. time well spent!
Man this last molt has made her colors outstanding! Wow she's a beauty. And a good mom too. What a good T. 🥰😍
Couldn't agree more!
When I decided to keep Tarantulas I did over a year of research. I read everything I could find, I watched your videos, and studied and studied. I wanted to be as informed as I could
so that I would be responsible and confident. After over a year I knew two things for sure I wanted old world T's and I wanted my first ones to be Poecilotheria's.
I bought my first one a Regalis sling and fell in love. Now after another year I have almost all of the Poeci's on my collection. I adore them and feel they are demonized a lot. Ive never had an issue with them they are sweet and Ive never gotten so much as a bolt much less a threat pose.
Its sad when an energetic species gets a bad rap to me Poeci's are the best T's their are at least for me.
This is what we try and show on this channel , the spiders are not bad its poor handling thats bad 👍
How are things going with your new hobby Robert W.? I ask because I've been doing the same thing for many months now; reading, researching, and watching Dave work. While I don't believe I will be getting a Pokie as my very first tarantula, they most certainly interest me as a future specimen to keep (they are magnificent). I'm glad to hear that your experience with yours has been good and shown little signs of aggression.
I have yet to decide on my first spiders to keep, but I am leaning toward two different ones -- perhaps a Chromatopelma cyanopubescens (GBB) and an A. Avicularis, or maybe a larger terrestrial species such as the Flame Knee. Those pokies are beautiful though! I hope all's well with your spiders.
underrated channel
Very nice of you to say ❤️
Im a newbie in this hobby,i found this channel is very clear, educative and personal. Love it, love to see more content from you good sir. The enclosure setup everything is spot on.
Thank you wan, and welcome to our channel 👍❤️
I watch several different forms on RUclips and your tarantula form popped up on my RUclips feed. This is so amazing. I've been watching for 2 days and never knew all that you're showing. I didn't even know that you could breed spiders. I am amazed and I love this channel. You have a beautiful collection and you farm your spiders so well. I love a good farm and you have a fantastic Farm
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I truly enjoy your love and admiration for these fascinating vilified creatures. Also interesting to see the evolution of the Beastie Room. You do have a very spiffy setup. Obviously you have learned just what works best for you and the kiddies. Thanks to Video Lady as well--great camera work.
Glad you enjoyed it
Would love one of these in my collection what a stunning spider, and how she protected that egg sack wow 👌
The P.regalis is probably the best pokie to start with my friend .
@@daveslittlebeasties definitely looking into buying, stunning spider
Egg with legs...I have never seen inside a spiders eggsack before but it was really interesting! Mother spider was for sure a beautiful spider. I was afraid of spiders before but i had to care for my sons pet spider Luni ( Grammostola Rosea ) and I was so afraid of her in the beginning so i hardly could watch her without having shivers down my spine and wanted to run away! I have learnt a lot since then and I really enjoyed Luni. She was a kind and curious spider 🕷 and it seemed like she love our company. She was a fuzzy eater ( but I know that that is common fact for them ) she was healthy and did well and she moulted about 3 times in our care. She was always so shiny looking afterwards. She learnt me something and today I don't scream and run away for a spider anymore. Luni lives with my son now and she must be around 20 years old. She had a owner prior to my son too. She lived through a house fire too last year in June. Ok no smoke went in to the room and we was able to get her out from our apartment the next day too. We have to run out in the middle of the night in a big hurry with our 2 cats when an arsonist but fire on the attic...it was really heartbreaking to leave Luni behind not knowing if she would survive, but she did! Thank you so very much for showing us this interesting video and I watched the one with unboxing the slings into a new enclosure too. Very nice, thank you! Hugs, Susanne.
Thank you Susan im so glad your enjoying the videos makes me very happy 👍❤️
@@daveslittlebeasties Yes they where great both videos Dave. I will watch more of your videos too, so thank you in advance! Hugs, Susanne.
Love the videos Dave. But watching you pull that bark back with your fingers gave me the chills my striata is feisty 😂😂😂

Awww she was trying so hard. 👍

Fabulous set up Dave, homemade SCBU . (special care baby unit) 😂 👍💕
Great timing Dave! Just in time for bed
Sleep well my friend 👍
Great video Dave and very informative, and what a beautiful species, brilliant.
She is lovely George and as pokies go the regalis is one of the best 👍
I liked the music when you showed her walking around. 👍 Also, just found out my T. Albopilosus female is MATURE! Woohoo! I'm so excited :)
What a beautiful Momma. She is a great Mom :)
Yes! Eggs with legs!! The female is Gorgeous. 🥰 I'm truly enjoying these egg sac removals.🥰
amazing looking spider--the colour of the strong yellow on the legs-- brilliant.. love your knowledge and the way you and the amazing camera lady present it--thanks PROFF
Cheers Graeme appreciate it 👍
You’re great, Dave!! Love all your videos.
Thank you my friend 👍
Great video as always Dave. Although my heart was in my mouth when you balanced that tank on the end of the table lol. My 9 year old is petrified of my p.regalis even though she's never near it, so I've suggested she watch your videos :)
Thats a good shout hopefully she will see theres nothing to be afraid of, and the tank was very secure no fear of it falling off 😂😂👍
I was thinking the same! Omg that made me nervous.
I'm afraid of spiders but completely fascinating and beautiful at the same time. I love your channel it has made me appreciate them more though I wouldn't be in the same room as one! You take such good care of these animals and your wife does some great camera work too.
I have started to watch a few other spider channels since I found you, and out if everyone you have the most wonderful demeanor and gentle methods. Thanks to you and camera lady for making such wonderful videos. Edit: The soft music at the end of this video was a nice touch.
Thank you my friend ❤️❤️❤️👍
I could listen to you talk all day, I love people from different parts of the world. LOL The accent. I am originally from Va.
E D U C A T I O N. Well done Dave, again! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much my friend really appreciate your support 👍❤️
What a beautiful little spider she is
Used to have a male and a female, both were adults.
I originally thought I had two females but the person I bought them from didn't gender them properly.
I was still fresh to the experience of owning Tarantulas but I did my research on how to care for the species I've gotten, I had not planned on mating them but they were both adults and it would've been a missed opportunity I carefully have been watching videos on how to do everything right and prepare.
Tragically though not long after we had a house fire disaster which lead to them parishing. It was sad because I've been taking care of them for a year in good condition and I was very excited to pair them and get little slings.
That is so sad ❤️ but dont let it stop you try again and good luck my friend ❤️👍
Great video 😊 she is a beautiful tarantula!!
Thank you 👍
Fascinating stuff and gorgeous mum spider.
Great video! So much info packed in there. Thanks Dave 😊

Great video as always Dave, stunning spider to say the least, love those yellow legs!!!👌🏻
There a very striking pokie and if your thinking of a first pokie the regalis is quit forgiving 👍
Im beginning to really like the Ornamentals they are a bit skittish but their beauty makes them so worth it.
Dave you're an awesome guy! Keep up the exciting work :)

Hello my friend and welcome to our channel I hope you find it entertaining and interesting 👍
I felt sad for the mother trying desperately to keep hold of her eggs.
I can just imagine her screaming "don't take my babies!!!"
She really didn't wanna let that go, kinda felt sorry for her!
There is no need she forgets almost immediately 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties i know but id still feel guilty lol

Breath taking spiders, i had 2 and they are so beautiful. They are very fast and have the longest fangs, their venom may not be the strongest but they can pump in a lot ! i had a tank with both of them in, very tall and kept in my bathroom when i lived in NC awesome ! loved this video.
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️👍

Wow, what a fabulously colored tarantula! It's clear she's in good hands.
❤❤❤
Beautiful spider
Whenever he puts the tank on the very edge of the table my heart always stops beating
Same here but my anxiety spikes. I have this thing about anything on table edges or corners. It's very annoying watching someone place something so precarious. I know Beastie Man is careful, it's still nerve-wracking.
She's beautiful! She seemed to have a lot more yellow on her in the home you took her from. Just found your videos. Have been watching now for three days. I love the way you talk about them.
