Al Capone and Chalky White show they can play together as they ambush Joe Masseria's men. Crossfire? What crossfire? Season 3, episode 12. Owned by HBO.
I would have to say that this episode was probably my favorite in the entire series. Richards massacre at Gillian’s house as well as this scene as the blacks and the white working together in a time where this wasn’t socially acceptable definitely puts it up there as one of my favorites.
It was 15. Lucky speaks the number in the 1st episode of the next season. On a gangster peace meeting. He tells Nucky "15 of his men killed on the road out of town". Meaning Masseria's boys.
Masseria actually lost most of his manpower to enforce his criminal enterprise. Rothstein is in the developing process of being indicted because he agreed to gain ownership of the distillery in PA from Nucky in exchange for a peace negotiation. Rosetti's dead, and the only remaining victor from the fighting is Nucky Thompson. It's what he and Eli were discussing right when he gained word about the distillery from Mellon.
Masseria lost maybe 1/8th of his entire army lol. If Rosetti was a lot more competent instead of being a drug-addled idiot, Nucky wouldn't stand a chance.
In fairness Masseri pulled his support. It’s why at the last meeting either AR, Nucky, Masseri, etc they were angry with Nucky saying “15 of his men killed on the way out of town with the deal already struck” Rosetti was fairly effective because he was a psychopath but at the end of day it almost always comes down to numbers, which is why Nucky paid off Masseri and why Rosetti didn’t have the numbers to win. Although even then Chalky was the only reason Nucky wasn’t killed by Rosetti
@DramaLuciano Come on, man, you seriously didn't see it coming? I knew they'd kill him off by the first episode. Ill admit the WAY he died was surprising, but his actual death wasn't. Now killing off Manny Horvitz and Owen Sleater, that fucked up the series
All of this just b/c Nucky wouldn't sell alcohol to anyone but AR...
It's true. Gyp wouldn't have lasted long in this business he was too hotheaded, impulsive and hilariously over sensitive.

@@malta3angwayeah. It was 5 cars too so the math makes sense
0:12 Capone's idea of fun.
Sticking when it's their turn. Like a lightning bolt.

Gyp was a loose cannon and fumbled. He underestimated Nucky. He couldn't have lasted long anyway.
Did this happen in real life
Racial harmony
