Agreed, I've done the colosseum battles with all of the abilities (even crash but it lasted one round obviously) and fire got me through it with the fastest time. I also didn't make any small mistakes (hesitating etc) and with most bosses didn't take any damage. Right behind it for me was the double drill. I suppose it might tie with the space ranger. The only issue with space ranger is that you have to stop and shoot which was tough to do on a fast moving target like the meta knight. I really don't include the last evolution of the sword bc you don't get it until the end of the game.
Morpho-Sword Ability Also Has An Effect That If You Do The 3 Hit Combo With The Actually Blade Against Your Enemy It Will Heal You A Sliver Of Heal.. Talk About OP
The three-hit combo, the second-charge spin, and even the lunge combo all have life drain. Also, by holding guard and attack at the same time in the air, you have a wave attack and doing the same on the ground gives you orbiting familiars. It's admittedly as busted as Hammer.
ok, I can see your points, but I also have to say that volcano fire and dragon fire (in my opinion) have some of the highest DPS in the game of any ability, even beating out abilities like Hammer or Ranger. Sure, it may be lacking moves from previous games, but aren't all the abilities lacking moves from previous games too? however, I do respect your opinion and I do think your points are good points.
actually, hammer has the highest dps by far. toy hammer, specifically, but only when upgraded to full. the record for Ultimate Cup Z without buffs or amiibos is 4:23 or smthn like that, and it uses fully upped toy hammer.
@@Mario17h1 honestly, its all about the fully charged hammer flip. in Ultimate Cup Z, with its stats maxed, toy hammer can do like 45%~ to most bosses (that isnt chaos elfilis lol). Get an atk boost and you can do around 60% in one hit. not to mention, its possible to hit airborne or tall opponents with it because you can jump with hammer flip charged. this really applies to gorimondo, meta knight, and C Elfilis soul though.
@@anything6036 Ok, but I also looked up some Speedruns of the Ultimate Z Cup and I saw a lot of people also using the Masked hammer as well, which has INSANE Damage. So which one is better then, Toy Hammer or Masked Hammer?
Personally I love Crystal Needle. It is a great enemy clearing ability and it can also skewer stars in boss battles. I personally tend to use it for bosses by rolling up to the boss while skewering the stars they dropped and then stop rolling to launch the stars and crystal chunks at the boss, then sit right next to them spamming the attack button, making it spew crystal chunks while also poking them with the needles
Storm Tornado can also pick up stars, AND they will home in on the boss when lauched! this works for enemies and other breakable objects you can pick up.
I think Hammer has to be my favourite. Besides the fact that I love hammers, i love how Toy and Wild feel like sidegrades to eachother, and Masked Hammer is... immense. I love it.
Yeah toy hammer can literally 2 shot most bosses and that isn’t an exaggeration, hammer flip with an attack boost and fully upgraded is insane and also fast. That’s why toy hammer is currently the best ability for ultimate cup z speedruns
@@TMA-YT It is the strongest Mini Boss and Boss Killer since Toy Hammer and By extension The Wild Hammer can break through what am gonna call Phase Armor. When a Boss is going through a Phase transition for example Gorimondo getting enraged, The Damage you do during that is reduced. Weapons that do a lot of Multi Hits or Tick damage like Masked Hammer don't do much during this Phase transition. Toy Hammer and Wild Hammer don't have this issue since its One Big hit instead of multiple smaller hits and since they do alot of damage it bypasses this Phase armor. Bosses like Gorimondo can be one shotted without going into phase 2 because of it. Though for Bosses like Clawroline you are not able to one shot them without going to phase 2 as from tests even if you hit her really hard with the hammer she is invincible when she is at like 1 hp. This seems to be an Exploit/Oversight when designing the Bosses and their Phase Transitions.
Fire should definitely be ranked way higher as well as ice, the way that the enemies keep burning once you use it on them for a while is a HUGE advantage when you need to take your distance. Also you missed that with the ice ability, when you are guarding, makes you inmune to most attacks which is amazing for the no-damage missions. I have to say that those two abilities are the ones that made me speedrun many levels with how OP they are.
Something u missed about the swords is that if you slide out of guard and then jump you do an upwards thrust and can follow it up w an additional attack. For the first two swords after the upward thrust they do a vertical spinning slash that hits the ground. For meta knights sword after the thrust Kirby does multiple slashes which ends with a vertical slash and has blue flame effects. N for the morpho knight sword after the thrust Kirby does a vertical spinning slash and hits the ground w a red fire effect, there’s a special ability for the morpho knight sword where if you charge it, it becomes huge. If you do the upward thrust while the sword is like this Kirby will do a spinning slash in the air that has insane range and will end the combo by hitting the ground with the sword creating a lightning effect
Dragon Fire is op because it sets enemies on fire doing more damage on top of what the attack is doing. This lets you destroy bosses especially if you get it up to +star
Morpho Knight Sword actually has two extra moves involving guarding. If you jump guard and hit B you use that hypnotic wave from Star Allies and if you just guard and hit B you summon two Phantom Forgo heads (that you were able to see for a moment in the video) to deal massive damage against enemies
The post-game areas leading to and including the Morpho Knight Boss Battle are considered part of the Main Story, as evidenced by the teaser scene of Leongar trapped in a psionic bubble with the words "To be Continued..." showing. ...Yes, this means Morpho Knight is _actually Canon now!_
You missed the biggest perk of crystal needle specifically, that it maintains its speed for much longer than needle/clutter needle! This makes it super agile, which really makes ALL the difference in most scenarios.
Tornado is my favorite ability mainly because it's fun to use. Also, storm tornado does have some practicality, in that any blocks, enemies, or stars caught in the tornado will aim at nearby enemies if you press b to stop the tornado.
Hey guys. I was the script writer for this episode. I want to point this out because some people seem to disagree with the list, some even with good reason. What I ask of all of you in advance is, if any of you are upset with the list, get upset with me and not Kyle or anyone else at 1UpBinge. The thing is, we wanted to strike while the iron was hot as it were, and Kyle asked me to get the game and play through it to make lists while it was still a fresh release, which i happily agreed to do. The trick is time itself. There wasn't much of it if we wanted to get this video out by a certain point. I wasnt able to play through the game as fast as I wish I could, so I had to go off of footage from other players a bit. It's because of this that I didn't know about all the other features some of these abilities had when writing the script, including some crucial ones like Morpho Knight be able to heal. Sorry for the paragpraphs, but I wanted to explain some things so tha, if anyone, I will take the blame instead of anyone at 1UpBinge.
I don't blame you. Sometimes, the only thing you can do is rush a project because of a time limit, and inevitably, the end product is rushed, and has a lot of errors. Doesn't matter who, it always is like this, outside of some lucky projects.

the twin drill not only ignores most enemy attacks but also deals more damage the larger the circle you make underneath your opponent. attacking and defending at the same time can also be seen in the tornado ability but the tornado has a start and end lag and deals far less damage
I’m not going to spoil the final boss, but I recommend using the Ice Ability or it’s upgrades, as Ice can temporarily freeze any boss if you deal enough damage in a short time, and while frozen, if you deal constant damage, it will end up dealing huge damage. So it’s a strong ability that slows down enemies and bosses, and deals great damage.
This was a really good list... But why Is Hammer lower than Cutter? Sure Ranger I get, but Cutter? I feel like it should be higher than Cutter thanks to the Masked Hammer, as it also gives the tornadoes fire properties. But yeah, Sword tales it easily.
Hey. Script writer for the video here. I recently made a comment myself giving a bit of an explanation as to why the list might seem a bit off in places. I hope it will help.
cutter's prolly my favorite ability to use in the game. it doesnt have the highest damage, nor does it have the flashiest upgrades, but being able to send the cutter projectile anywhere as long as you jump over it is so sick. you can also make the cutter go really vertically if you jump right before sending it when youre standing right next to it. i was able to kill Clawroline when she was up on the scaffolding using that trick. its so fun. easily the copy ability with the most amount of tech.
I like how buzz-saw is one of the most devastating attacks when you throw a bunch and they bounce, but rubber hammer was completely ignored. And…the masked hammer does look like masked Dedede? It’s not the masked Dedede from the other games, but it is from “Forgo Dedede”
He forgot to mention that anything you pick up in storm tornado will be launched out as a homing attack to the nearest enemy at the end of the tornado or if you press b while in the tornado
I highly recommend you play this game fully before ranking this. I'm not gonna say much since others have already said buttttt Sword and Fire especially are busted.
just a correction the deep sleep can give any of the 3 buffs of doubled hp, damage boost, or movement boost. The same buffs you can buy from the shop. Its just rng which one you get. Still its not the best ability but the utility of dropping your power getting deep sleep and using it for the power up and then picking up your copy ability again is pretty good.
It's actually great in the arena, as you can get all three buffs in the shop, and if you get it as a pedestal, you can drop your current ability, use deep sleep, and then pick up your ability, and then repeat. And even with the regular sleep ability, it gives you a free Maxim tomato, which is quite useful, as your healing items are limited in the arena. Not great for speedrunning tho.
Morpho Sword was the only way I was able to beat the True Arena mode (forgot the in game name of it). So yeah...my new favorite ability goes to Morpho Sword
For me, the bronze medal goes to Ranger, the silver medal goes to fire, and the gold medal goes to sword. It’s final evolution gets the the secret platinum medal.

I’m glad tornado came back finally, but damn it got nerfed hard. Also needle is dummy broken and deep sleep is extremely helpful for the free buffs it gives
The double hammer ability matches that of Forgo Dedede, aka Wild Masked Dedede. So technically Kirby’s final hammer evolution is based off of Masked Dedede.
i like both! it's super fun to envelop your foes in a blazing inferno that they can't do anything about, and it's super satisfying to get that freeze off and take off half a miniboss's hp all at once.
Funfact, Morpho-Sword is the only ability in the game to have three separate charge attacks, depending on if you're blocking or not, and it's third charge ability can be used when you block and hold b while in mid air, unleashing that weird aoe attack that Morpho Knight does
It's not even close. Space ranger, morpho knight and metaknight sword, Cutter, any hammer ability, blizzard ice, etc. Far from the best dps in the game. It has... average dps for a combat-based third level evolution ability.

Clutter Needle does have a difference from the base Needle other than appearances; like Crystal Needle, if you can pick up a lot of objects in a room, some of the random clutter gets snet out as well (like the Crystal Needle's crystal shards)
As nice as this list is, the thing is hammer is without a doubt the king of damage, potentially skipping phases through beating the boss if hammer flip is fully charged and a record clear of this game’s true arena in about TWO FLIPPING MINUTES!! Though it can easily be debated that sword beats it through less difficulty beating the bosses overall at the cost of taking them down slower with the ability to attack from safe distances though crescent beams, having more time invincible when dodging, or just healing the damage you’ve taken by striking the opponent enough.
Honestly the hammer just is so simple in design yet so op.It’s always my go-to ability in true arenas or things like that in Kirby game.The hammer is just my best friend
Masked hammer doesnt resemble masked dedede? Um it exactly resembles mask dedede, what are u talking about? Kirby just wears the forgo mask from this game. The dual hammers and FIRE TORNADOS (not lightning) are direct moves from the Forgo dedede fight. Masked and Forgo are essentially the same in this context

@@MorrisPXG I don't think so. It's not a competitive multiplayer game, so balance doesn't matter, at least, not nearly as much, and as a post-game reward for players who beat the extra mode, I'd say it needed to be OP.
Fire ability is under rated, it is very strong (when upgraded), has great mobility, it has a lingering effect that melts bosses while you run away. It is pretty good I would say fire in general is better then tornado but just below drill. (Tornado is hard to controll)
Horizontal Mobility is great but not Vertical,Also there are more better Copy Abilities that can Sweep bosses like Hammer(Toy and Forgo),Sword(Morpho and Meta),Space Ranger have better Attack Options,Personally I don’t use Fire unless I fight Tropical Woods,I usually use Sword because of its high Combo Potential,Space Ranger for Huge Damage and Hammer for More wide attack
I just found out that if you do guard and attack in mid air you do Morpho Knight’s call attack. Like idk how to describe it but just guard then press B with morpho knight Kirby
Funny, seems youre the only one to think Ice is stronger than Fire in this game, due to how burn mechanics work, there is no real limit to stacking them, and the stack up extreamly quickly, so its not rare to see a boss melt 2/3rds of its health with Fire abilities
Have you tried: Space ranger Hammer Toy Hammer Wild Hammer Masked Hammer Meta Knight Sword Morpho Sword Buzz Saw Cutter or Blizzard Ice? Far from the highest dps.
I personally like to use ranger over sword (Haven't gotten Morpho Knight Sword yet.) It comes in real handy doing the no-hit challenges for bosses in this game.
Ranger is especially good because it's safe. I personally like space ranger, as if you charge it up fully, which is actually quite easy, you can deal continuous damage without moving, which puts the boss in hitstun, making the boss quite easy. Can cheese many bosses, though, Ellifin will kick your ass if you even think about using that charge.
Drill really isn’t that good, probably a bottom 3 ability for me. Attacking with it is so awkward and you’re left wide open when coming out of the ground. Fire was ranked way too low. My top 3 are: 3: Fire (very high DPS - especially when upgraded) 2: Sword (almost exclusively because of morpho knight sword) 1: Ranger (insane damage while allowing you to attack at a safe distance. Space ranger’s full charge is insanely broken, and it’s a great bonus that this ability easily deals with airborne enemies and bosses)
Imagine thinking that: 1. Dragon fire has "very high" dps. Good, but not even close to the best dps. 2. Ranger is better than sword. While ranger is great, it gets ASSSED against Ellifin, showing that it's not actually great against bosses that are constantly attacking you. 3. Only Morpho knight sword is the only good evolution.
@@scotterboi9 residual damage is really good on dragon fire. Ranger is great in terms or damage and long range damage. Reminded me of archer and that was busted in the 3ds games. Also, morpho knight sword is by far the best, even if it’s not the only good one
I like Kirby when he swallows Knuckle Joe to have the martial arts ability. It's pretty cool how he can go punch punch punch punch punch on enemies. Also him having Meta Knight's ability is pretty cool too using the sword to slice enemies.🐽👊🥋🥊🛡🗡
The Masked hammer is based off of Masked Dedede of this game being Forgo Dedede. He even has a remix of Masked Dedede playing. Also they are fire tornadoes. Not electric. They say that they are in one of his Waddle Dee saves. Also it starts the fire in Kirby's house and melts ice blocks.
You undersold hammer. Toy Hammer, for whatever reason, can be upgraded to do the highest damage in a single strike. Often enough to one-shot mini bosses. And the masked hammer DOES make Kirby wear the mask that masked Dedede wears without the running around on all fours. Sword is very versatile, Morpho sword having fire aspect makes it almost a goto for waddle-dee cleanup. My favorite is the storm tornado. Large range and high speed/maneuverability make going through levels quickly very easy.
I used dragon fire to beat leongard, fecto forgo, and fecto elfilin without fail… I am either good at my fav ability or it’s being underrated… it’s 100% being underrated, the lingering fire is a major advantage along with the glide
I love ice due to the freezing effect. Stop or slow down enemies attack and go behind them to deal more damage. Plus shield is really op. I use ice for all the no damage boss waddle dees
I think fire should’ve been ranked higher, as if you use it against a boss or mini boss they take huge amounts of damage and the burn allows you to do decent damage while they are away from you
How is sleep second to last? Charging crash only makes it stronger and time crash is really good at destroying swarms. Sleep heals or boosts stats. His ability is gone once used and leaves kirby vulnerable and yet you only want to bring up those points in crash's part. Clutter needle shoots projectiles even without picking stuff up.
Ranger is insane, with how early you can get it, plus being able to stand back and fight without laying a finger on the boss is insane. Space ranger fully upgraded to the max damage can literally take down most bosses in 3-7 hits. Probably the best in my opinion.
Something that I wish he mentioned is the spammable quick slice move you can do with the Meta Knight Sword which arguably is better than the Morpho Knight Sword just cuz it keeps up at a fact pace, imo
Here's my list of copy abilities from least favorite to favorite 12. Cutter (my least favorite because I think its attack is pretty weak and annoying to use against bosses. I avoid it at all costs) 11. Tornado (hard to control and can't get out of it as quickly as I would like) 10. Needle (not great for boss fights, but good for regular levels) 9. Crash (love how strong it is but hate that it can only be used once) 8. Bomb (I only like the homing bomb, the other forms not so much) 7. Fire (not the strongest overall, but I like how the fire lingers on your enemy even when you're not physically attacking) 6. Sleep (deep sleep is honestly a lifesaver with free attack and speed boosts and refilling health. I always try to use it before a boss fight) 5. Ice (I love this ability, but I don't like using it in boss fights) 4. Drill (quake surge especially in twin drill is great for boss fights. it's also great defensively) 3. Hammer (one of the strongest abilities and known as the "boss killer/destroyer" and I can see why. one fully charged attack takes a boss out pretty fast) 2. Ranger (specifically space ranger, I always use it for the Colosseum. Using the fully charged attack not only does a great deal of damage, but it also slows down your enemy while it's inside it, so it gives you a chance to move farther away to do another fully charged attack) 1. Sword (I say this is the strongest ability because of the Morpho Knight evolution. Dodge is absolutely amazing and all the attacks are very strong and fast. not a fan of the other evolutions, but the last one is by far the best in the entire game, hence why it's the last one you receive)

Fire was nerfed and compared to some other abilities it's obviously not THE strongest but it's upgrades should land it higher Same goes for Drill, drill can be INCREDIBLY powerful once you learn to use it, and Tornado
IMO, Cutter and fire's position on the list should be swapped. The buzzsaws might bounce off of walls, but you'd be surprised how little these scenarios are available in a good use outside of miniboss arenas. Fire is much more consistent in power and the speed of fireball dashing make it much more useful for level traversal and the primary ability for pro speedrunners.

For Crash, you don't have to charge it to use it, charging it just makes it stronger.

Storm Tornado can also pick up stars, AND they will home in on the boss when lauched! this works for enemies and other breakable objects you can pick up.

@@TMA-YT It is the strongest Mini Boss and Boss Killer since Toy Hammer and By extension The Wild Hammer can break through what am gonna call Phase Armor. When a Boss is going through a Phase transition for example Gorimondo getting enraged, The Damage you do during that is reduced. Weapons that do a lot of Multi Hits or Tick damage like Masked Hammer don't do much during this Phase transition. Toy Hammer and Wild Hammer don't have this issue since its One Big hit instead of multiple smaller hits and since they do alot of damage it bypasses this Phase armor. Bosses like Gorimondo can be one shotted without going into phase 2 because of it. Though for Bosses like Clawroline you are not able to one shot them without going to phase 2 as from tests even if you hit her really hard with the hammer she is invincible when she is at like 1 hp. This seems to be an Exploit/Oversight when designing the Bosses and their Phase Transitions.
Fire should definitely be ranked way higher as well as ice, the way that the enemies keep burning once you use it on them for a while is a HUGE advantage when you need to take your distance.
Also you missed that with the ice ability, when you are guarding, makes you inmune to most attacks which is amazing for the no-damage missions.
I have to say that those two abilities are the ones that made me speedrun many levels with how OP they are.

Something u missed about the swords is that if you slide out of guard and then jump you do an upwards thrust and can follow it up w an additional attack. For the first two swords after the upward thrust they do a vertical spinning slash that hits the ground. For meta knights sword after the thrust Kirby does multiple slashes which ends with a vertical slash and has blue flame effects. N for the morpho knight sword after the thrust Kirby does a vertical spinning slash and hits the ground w a red fire effect, there’s a special ability for the morpho knight sword where if you charge it, it becomes huge. If you do the upward thrust while the sword is like this Kirby will do a spinning slash in the air that has insane range and will end the combo by hitting the ground with the sword creating a lightning effect
Dragon Fire is op because it sets enemies on fire doing more damage on top of what the attack is doing. This lets you destroy bosses especially if you get it up to +star
When You literally use Space Ranger,The charge attack is broken as well
Morpho Knight Sword actually has two extra moves involving guarding. If you jump guard and hit B you use that hypnotic wave from Star Allies and if you just guard and hit B you summon two Phantom Forgo heads (that you were able to see for a moment in the video) to deal massive damage against enemies
Honestly, sword feels like the most fleshed out ability with how much variety in the moves it has.

You missed the biggest perk of crystal needle specifically, that it maintains its speed for much longer than needle/clutter needle! This makes it super agile, which really makes ALL the difference in most scenarios.

Tornado is my favorite ability mainly because it's fun to use. Also, storm tornado does have some practicality, in that any blocks, enemies, or stars caught in the tornado will aim at nearby enemies if you press b to stop the tornado.
Hey guys. I was the script writer for this episode. I want to point this out because some people seem to disagree with the list, some even with good reason. What I ask of all of you in advance is, if any of you are upset with the list, get upset with me and not Kyle or anyone else at 1UpBinge. The thing is, we wanted to strike while the iron was hot as it were, and Kyle asked me to get the game and play through it to make lists while it was still a fresh release, which i happily agreed to do. The trick is time itself. There wasn't much of it if we wanted to get this video out by a certain point. I wasnt able to play through the game as fast as I wish I could, so I had to go off of footage from other players a bit. It's because of this that I didn't know about all the other features some of these abilities had when writing the script, including some crucial ones like Morpho Knight be able to heal.

the twin drill not only ignores most enemy attacks but also deals more damage the larger the circle you make underneath your opponent. attacking and defending at the same time can also be seen in the tornado ability but the tornado has a start and end lag and deals far less damage
I’m not going to spoil the final boss, but I recommend using the Ice Ability or it’s upgrades, as Ice can temporarily freeze any boss if you deal enough damage in a short time, and while frozen, if you deal constant damage, it will end up dealing huge damage. So it’s a strong ability that slows down enemies and bosses, and deals great damage.

This was a really good list... But why Is Hammer lower than Cutter? Sure Ranger I get, but Cutter? I feel like it should be higher than Cutter thanks to the Masked Hammer, as it also gives the tornadoes fire properties. But yeah, Sword tales it easily.

Hey. Script writer for the video here. I recently made a comment myself giving a bit of an explanation as to why the list might seem a bit off in places. I hope it will help.
cutter's prolly my favorite ability to use in the game. it doesnt have the highest damage, nor does it have the flashiest upgrades, but being able to send the cutter projectile anywhere as long as you jump over it is so sick. you can also make the cutter go really vertically if you jump right before sending it when youre standing right next to it. i was able to kill Clawroline when she was up on the scaffolding using that trick. its so fun. easily the copy ability with the most amount of tech.
The Sword is best paired with the Dodge mechanic. A perfectly timed dodge slows down time giving Kirby a major opening for attacks.
I like how buzz-saw is one of the most devastating attacks when you throw a bunch and they bounce, but rubber hammer was completely ignored.
And…the masked hammer does look like masked Dedede? It’s not the masked Dedede from the other games, but it is from “Forgo Dedede”
Cutter is overrated in this video.

I love the drill series for the aesthetic and satisfying “ehehehe I’m in the ground and I’m gonna getcha” feeling
just a correction the deep sleep can give any of the 3 buffs of doubled hp, damage boost, or movement boost. The same buffs you can buy from the shop. Its just rng which one you get. Still its not the best ability but the utility of dropping your power getting deep sleep and using it for the power up and then picking up your copy ability again is pretty good.
It's actually great in the arena, as you can get all three buffs in the shop, and if you get it as a pedestal, you can drop your current ability, use deep sleep, and then pick up your ability, and then repeat. And even with the regular sleep ability, it gives you a free Maxim tomato, which is quite useful, as your healing items are limited in the arena. Not great for speedrunning tho.

1: Morpho Knight Sword.
Morpho Sword was the only way I was able to beat the True Arena mode (forgot the in game name of it). So yeah...my new favorite ability goes to Morpho Sword
For me, the bronze medal goes to Ranger, the silver medal goes to fire, and the gold medal goes to sword. It’s final evolution gets the the secret platinum medal.

I use fire to absolutely destroy my enemies, while I use ice when I need to.
i like both! it's super fun to envelop your foes in a blazing inferno that they can't do anything about, and it's super satisfying to get that freeze off and take off half a miniboss's hp all at once.
Funfact, Morpho-Sword is the only ability in the game to have three separate charge attacks, depending on if you're blocking or not, and it's third charge ability can be used when you block and hold b while in mid air, unleashing that weird aoe attack that Morpho Knight does

Clutter Needle does have a difference from the base Needle other than appearances; like Crystal Needle, if you can pick up a lot of objects in a room, some of the random clutter gets snet out as well (like the Crystal Needle's crystal shards)

As nice as this list is, the thing is hammer is without a doubt the king of damage, potentially skipping phases through beating the boss if hammer flip is fully charged and a record clear of this game’s true arena in about TWO FLIPPING MINUTES!!
Though it can easily be debated that sword beats it through less difficulty beating the bosses overall at the cost of taking them down slower with the ability to attack from safe distances though crescent beams, having more time invincible when dodging, or just healing the damage you’ve taken by striking the opponent enough.
Honestly the hammer just is so simple in design yet so op.It’s always my go-to ability in true arenas or things like that in Kirby game.The hammer is just my best friend
Masked hammer doesnt resemble masked dedede? Um it exactly resembles mask dedede, what are u talking about? Kirby just wears the forgo mask from this game. The dual hammers and FIRE TORNADOS (not lightning) are direct moves from the Forgo dedede fight. Masked and Forgo are essentially the same in this context

@@MorrisPXG I don't think so. It's not a competitive multiplayer game, so balance doesn't matter, at least, not nearly as much, and as a post-game reward for players who beat the extra mode, I'd say it needed to be OP.
Fire ability is under rated, it is very strong (when upgraded), has great mobility, it has a lingering effect that melts bosses while you run away. It is pretty good I would say fire in general is better then tornado but just below drill. (Tornado is hard to controll)
Horizontal Mobility is great but not Vertical,Also there are more better Copy Abilities that can Sweep bosses like Hammer(Toy and Forgo),Sword(Morpho and Meta),Space Ranger have better Attack Options,Personally I don’t use Fire unless I fight Tropical Woods,I usually use Sword because of its high Combo Potential,Space Ranger for Huge Damage and Hammer for More wide attack
I just found out that if you do guard and attack in mid air you do Morpho Knight’s call attack. Like idk how to describe it but just guard then press B with morpho knight Kirby
Funny, seems youre the only one to think Ice is stronger than Fire in this game, due to how burn mechanics work, there is no real limit to stacking them, and the stack up extreamly quickly, so its not rare to see a boss melt 2/3rds of its health with Fire abilities
Idk needle is my go to ability for the more agile bosses, the thrust and invincibility frames keep my safe
The gigant sword ability is really strong because if you block you use a sheild that makes it so you cant take damage from almost everything

I personally like to use ranger over sword (Haven't gotten Morpho Knight Sword yet.) It comes in real handy doing the no-hit challenges for bosses in this game.
Ranger is especially good because it's safe. I personally like space ranger, as if you charge it up fully, which is actually quite easy, you can deal continuous damage without moving, which puts the boss in hitstun, making the boss quite easy. Can cheese many bosses, though, Ellifin will kick your ass if you even think about using that charge.
Drill really isn’t that good, probably a bottom 3 ability for me. Attacking with it is so awkward and you’re left wide open when coming out of the ground. Fire was ranked way too low.
My top 3 are:
3: Fire (very high DPS - especially when upgraded)
2: Sword (almost exclusively because of morpho knight sword)
1: Ranger (insane damage while allowing you to attack at a safe distance. Space ranger’s full charge is insanely broken, and it’s a great bonus that this ability easily deals with airborne enemies and bosses)
Imagine thinking that:
1. Dragon fire has "very high" dps. Good, but not even close to the best dps.
2. Ranger is better than sword. While ranger is great, it gets ASSSED against Ellifin, showing that it's not actually great against bosses that are constantly attacking you.
3. Only Morpho knight sword is the only good evolution.
@@scotterboi9 residual damage is really good on dragon fire. Ranger is great in terms or damage and long range damage. Reminded me of archer and that was busted in the 3ds games. Also, morpho knight sword is by far the best, even if it’s not the only good one
I like Kirby when he swallows Knuckle Joe to have the martial arts ability. It's pretty cool how he can go punch punch punch punch punch on enemies. Also him having Meta Knight's ability is pretty cool too using the sword to slice enemies.🐽👊🥋🥊🛡🗡

Deep Sleep still lets you use your old ability as long as you wake up fast enough and get your old ability before it disappears

The Masked hammer is based off of Masked Dedede of this game being Forgo Dedede. He even has a remix of Masked Dedede playing. Also they are fire tornadoes. Not electric. They say that they are in one of his Waddle Dee saves. Also it starts the fire in Kirby's house and melts ice blocks.
You undersold hammer. Toy Hammer, for whatever reason, can be upgraded to do the highest damage in a single strike. Often enough to one-shot mini bosses. And the masked hammer DOES make Kirby wear the mask that masked Dedede wears without the running around on all fours.
Sword is very versatile, Morpho sword having fire aspect makes it almost a goto for waddle-dee cleanup.
My favorite is the storm tornado. Large range and high speed/maneuverability make going through levels quickly very easy.

I used dragon fire to beat leongard, fecto forgo, and fecto elfilin without fail… I am either good at my fav ability or it’s being underrated… it’s 100% being underrated, the lingering fire is a major advantage along with the glide

I love ice due to the freezing effect. Stop or slow down enemies attack and go behind them to deal more damage. Plus shield is really op. I use ice for all the no damage boss waddle dees
I think fire should’ve been ranked higher, as if you use it against a boss or mini boss they take huge amounts of damage and the burn allows you to do decent damage while they are away from you

If were going by dps then the hammer is the strongest with the toy hammers hammer flip being the best attack in the game (you can 2 shot bosses)
honestly the 2 best abilities in the game are Morpho Sword and Dragon fire
How is sleep second to last? Charging crash only makes it stronger and time crash is really good at destroying swarms. Sleep heals or boosts stats. His ability is gone once used and leaves kirby vulnerable and yet you only want to bring up those points in crash's part. Clutter needle shoots projectiles even without picking stuff up.
Kirby's toy hammer ability looks like the hammer from Sherbert Shenanigans.
Ranger is insane, with how early you can get it, plus being able to stand back and fight without laying a finger on the boss is insane. Space ranger fully upgraded to the max damage can literally take down most bosses in 3-7 hits. Probably the best in my opinion.
Something that I wish he mentioned is the spammable quick slice move you can do with the Meta Knight Sword which arguably is better than the Morpho Knight Sword just cuz it keeps up at a fact pace, imo
Here's my list of copy abilities from least favorite to favorite
12. Cutter (my least favorite because I think its attack is pretty weak and annoying to use against bosses. I avoid it at all costs)
11. Tornado (hard to control and can't get out of it as quickly as I would like)
10. Needle (not great for boss fights, but good for regular levels)
9. Crash (love how strong it is but hate that it can only be used once)
8. Bomb (I only like the homing bomb, the other forms not so much)
7. Fire (not the strongest overall, but I like how the fire lingers on your enemy even when you're not physically attacking)
6. Sleep (deep sleep is honestly a lifesaver with free attack and speed boosts and refilling health. I always try to use it before a boss fight)
5. Ice (I love this ability, but I don't like using it in boss fights)
4. Drill (quake surge especially in twin drill is great for boss fights. it's also great defensively)
3. Hammer (one of the strongest abilities and known as the "boss killer/destroyer" and I can see why. one fully charged attack takes a boss out pretty fast)
2. Ranger (specifically space ranger, I always use it for the Colosseum. Using the fully charged attack not only does a great deal of damage, but it also slows down your enemy while it's inside it, so it gives you a chance to move farther away to do another fully charged attack)
1. Sword (I say this is the strongest ability because of the Morpho Knight evolution. Dodge is absolutely amazing and all the attacks are very strong and fast. not a fan of the other evolutions, but the last one is by far the best in the entire game, hence why it's the last one you receive)
ice's guard is invulnerable, and the only trade off is not being able to dodge, so that might make ice go up a bit
you can dodge actually, just very briefly. but it's invulnerable anyway lmao

Fire was nerfed and compared to some other abilities it's obviously not THE strongest but it's upgrades should land it higher

IMO, Cutter and fire's position on the list should be swapped. The buzzsaws might bounce off of walls, but you'd be surprised how little these scenarios are available in a good use outside of miniboss arenas. Fire is much more consistent in power and the speed of fireball dashing make it much more useful for level traversal and the primary ability for pro speedrunners.
