I bought a set of LP2 irons a few weeks ago after seeing some of these You Tube videos. First round I improved by about 8-10 shots. Looking forward to my next comp round. I had lost all confidence with irons prior to these. Hadn’t hit anything longer than a 6i and used a chipper for just about every shot within 100 yards of the green. Didn’t miss hit a single iron shot and my best was a 5i for my second on a par 4 I never reach in 2 that landed on the green on the full and stopped 10 feet from the hole. I was hitting my irons so well I wasn’t driving as well as usual because I was thinking about how well the irons were going. Phenomenal clubs.

I’m 41. Play off 9. Been playing mizunos for last 4/5 years. I always had a liking for Wilson’s and hybrids so when these came about I thought why not. I have to say they are exceptional. Do yourself a favour and get some. They put a smile on your face!

I play the launch pad hybrid/FY and it's fast become my favourite club.

34 year old male and I bought the Wilson LP 1's last year. I've played the best golf of my life with these! 12 handicap now. These are so easy to hit and chip around the green. Highly recommend.

Would seem like Wilson would have a real winner if they made a LaunchPad driving iron. Easy to hit - go a long way.

I bought these at the start of the 22 season. I hadn't played golf in 20 plus years. Played a few rounds in 2021 with my OLD blades. It showed! Now back to this year. Started tracking my handicap with new clubs. I started with a high 20 HC. I am now down to mid teens and have manage a few 80s. I can say yhat these irons and some range time have made the maddening game so enjoyable. Are they sexy? NO. Will they shave strokes off your game? Absolutely! Drop the ego and buy these if you are a high HC'er/slower club head speed. You will fall in love with them after 2 rounds!
How does it compare to like a Cleveland Launcher XL Halo?
It's one of those ones ,where if you're given the help why not take it ? But a lot of people would choose not to play these clubs as a result of ego 😂
You would play well with any irons, great tempo and swing. I bought my PXGs too soon, wish i would have seen this video first
I was looking for some new irons to improved my game and i saw this video 2 couple of month ago, so i went to my golf shop at the range and they had some, so i asked if i could try them and WOW.!! I perchased them straight after and my game has improved so much. Cheers Alex for making this video.
You guys have lot of Kangaroos on your golf courses, in the States we have a lot of Canadian Geese that wonder around all the time and we have a rule if hit one you get an automatic birdie. Do you guys have something similar for Kangaroos? A Roogie maybe. lol
I said in your last video that you would shoot the same score you would with your own irons - and you did. Most amateurs aren't good with longer irons and aren't good at chipping around the green - in both cases, with the wider sole, these will help - it's why the hottest club in the world right now is the Ping ChipR - and that 5-iron is basically a 9wood (which DJ now puts in his bag). If you can't break 80, you should play these clubs.

It's su much fun watching all reviews of this iron. All testers on line seems to love this model. Why do people pay double the money for a less forgiving club, dropping 5-10 shots to the course??

What is it that people find ugly about them? I find these and the cleveland Halos look so so nice. The ELEVEN hybrid irons i can understand as they look exactly like a full bag of hybrids.....although i kinda like that too 😅

I think a set of clubs like these are better for a higher handicap player than a fitted set of top price type clubs,!
I wouldn’t be embarrassed to play an iron like that. I only get to play about 10 rounds a summer, so these might be perfect for me.

Play them for a month and see if scores improve.
Video idea - show whether u can shape a shot better with blades vs these clubs or another cavity back. I want to see if the marketing is a bunch of bs. I cant really shape shots so have no reason to go for blades.

When there is a huge game changer for mid-high handicap players , they go all pompous and negative… and the biggest criticism is “ aesthetics “ ok rant over .. These are amazing!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Why is look so important when a club produces high, long, straight shots?
Well if it’s low, short and wayward you’re in trouble
Have never seen a review on forgiving, player friendly clubs, concluding that the club is totally unplayable and disgusting to hit :D I'm just tired of a talk about bulkyness of a club. It's 2023 now. All clubs a pretty bulky compared to 1980 models. Love your channel, Alex!@@alexetchesgolf
