Spelled it out in the simplest of terms. No hype, no sensationalism, no gimmicks, just how to get it done.

Great info - we will be camping there from January-February and of course bringing our boat. Hopefully it’s gonna be warmer than Panama City in the winter!

Cold weather is tougher fishing but it can definitely be done! 💪

Living in Crystal River, winter takes some getting used to and a SHALLOW draft!

Awesome video! Do you ever use any scents on your artificials?

Lot of good wintertime info, thanks! I fish very similar conditions/equipment, etc. around Palm Harbor/Dunedin and you definitely added some good tips. Question - what is the brand name of the jig heads you're using? I fish with the Lil John's as well and it looks like those jig heads would work better with them. Alos, if you're using super glue, how would you get the lure off if you wanted to switch to something else? thanks...

Those are the 1/16oz. Death Grip Jig Heads.

Sure do miss fall grouper digging.
Are the good times really over for good?

Hopefully not! We are still catching big shallow water Gags regularly and clients are loving it, just can’t keep them unfortunately.

Have you ever considered circle hooks for using shrimp?
I use circle hooks for fishing bait and really like it.
A guy like you who fishes every day can avoid gut-hooking fish most of the time. But if you’re guiding less experienced anglers it is something to think about.

We find the most success using jig heads when we are looking for Reds on shrimp, but we will throw on circle hooks from time to time as they are better in preventing gut hooking for less experienced anglers.
