Great video. I bought the two person model last spring. I’m also 6’7” and the length was a clincher for me. I love it and expect to use it for many years. Well built with lots of extras thrown in. Happy trails!
Good video and thanks for sharing.. FYI...I have the same tent and for almost an entire year, I also thought that the tent was missing the elastic band that helps to draw-in the sides/edges upon closing...however, when I contacted OVS, they actually asked me to check the accessory bag again, and indicated that the band should be in there. Upon further inspection, the band...actually 2 bands, were in a small clear zip bag within that grey accessory bag. So...my advice to you...check that accessory bag one more time and you will likely/hopefully see the elastic bands that you are looking for.
@@Beartrapjku You'll see 1 small ring/hoop on the outside, at the bottom, rear corner of each side window. Clip one end of the elastic band to one hoop (this clip should stay on/attached), then stretch and hook the other end of the strap to the other window ring/hoop. NOTE: When you're deploying/setting up, you'll unhook one end and just dangle it somewhere out of the way till you're ready to pack up. Hope that helps...
@@909phillyman i was just toying around with it (before i read this) and i hooked the two straps to the window corners, and then the other ends to the rings where you would hang your shoe bags on the opposite corners of each window, is this right or should both straps be going from window to window to basically make one strap?
@Beartrapjku Not sure. I only use 1 of the elastic bands, and I stretch it from one corner to the other as I noted previously. I might try your way to see if it is more effective at pulling in the fabric when closing. I'm saving the other for later if needed.
Just wanted to say thanks for the video! I bought this a few weeks ago but it's currently sitting in my garage while I'm waiting on OVS's new Expedition truck cap. Very excited to break it out!
@@brassmonkeydesigns thank you. The cap looks really fun and practical. I haven't had a chance to see one in person yet. Hope your install and delivery goes smoothly.
With the way it folds on the bed/floor the mattress takes up most of the space between two floor planels when folded...maybe if they were super thin and spread out? It could compress the mattress over time? However, there is some surplus room on either side of the ladder where it stores before closing the outer hardshell...plenty of space there. I guess that's one downside to mention.
Ahhh got it . Thanks for the reply I have their nomadic 3 and looking to upgrade but I like to leave my sleeping bags inside from time to time . Maybe this is out of the picture. Haha cool video thanks
@AdventureRocks yea I just don't like having to fill my car with sleeping bags pillows and blankets so it helps to just keep it in the tent. Appreciate your response have a good one
