Hi again! I learned from you 7 years ago and haven’t played for almost 2 years, due to illness. Now I am starting over, getting refreshed from your tutorials and trying to teach others to play with your help. I am 72 and have a 92 year lady in my group learning to play! You have touched the lives of so many people. God bless you Cynthia Lin 💚🐸

I’m almost 57, played clarinet as a young person. I don’t even know why I decided to buy a ukulele but I did and in just a few days I feel so much joy learning to play through your videos. I am retired so spend hours in a day practicing as it’s so much fun! My dog is always in the background. Sometimes I think he’s asking me to stop. But they are supportive in their own way. Your little pup is totally relaxed!

Thank you soooooo much for this lovely version and simple arrangement of one of my all time favourite songs Cynthia. It is me and my wife's 25th wedding anniversary coming up very soon and she is my brown-eyed girl. I've always wanted to be able to play this for her but have never felt confident enough in my singing or playing ability but listening to your beautiful voice and playing has inspired me to give it a go. I just need to watch your video on Stand By Me first to try to get to grips with the Island Strum 🤞 ❤ 🙏 Thanks again Martin

Today i'm able to play easy fingerpicking.
I love the song : Vincent by Don Mc Clean. Do you have a play along from this song with fingerpicking?

My niece started a Ukulele club with a group of home school kids..... her three daughters are home school and they have a choir group that meets twice a week, so just before choir they meet for ukulele for an hour or so..... I'm 58 years old and I'm doing it with them!!! Lol!!! It is so much fun! I have to stay on top of things you know..... so I practice with you in between club meetings! Your video's are fantastic, they've helped me so much..... and you are absolutely adorable! ;-)

I picked up an Ukulele as a 41st birthday day present to myself. I have never played an instrument before apart from those trusty grade school recorders. I must say that I can't put it down! I search through a lot of so called "beginners" Uke videos on youtube and they were so hard to follow. I'm so happy I found your tutorials!!! You are a great teacher and I was able to follow along with ease. It took me a while to get the island strum but I'm now enjoying playing Brown Eyed Girl and Stand By Me as well as the other songs you've posted with easier strum patterns. So Thank You!

You do a great job with these beginner's videos, Cynthia. Your always-sunny, "C'mon, you can do this!" disposition is a wonderful motivational tool. I've watched and played along with the 'Brown-eyed Girl' video for about a week now, and I'm close to having it down... so I thought it was time I downloaded the chord chart and tossed you a couple of bucks. Please don't stop giving us these superior lessons. And by the way, I'm diggin' your dog. Thanx. 😉

I do practice the lessons . . honest, but I would be happy just sitting here listening to you.

So good! It shows that you are a real teacher.
Can't wait to actually pratice it and hopefully be able to play it not so badly.
    Keep on the good work!

Went back to practice this song as I found the timing actually pretty difficult. It's fun to try and sing along and it's such a big help to listen to you. The other thing is that you have such a perfectly timed strum. I find as you get a little more advanced you can learn new things from looking at earlier videos.
