I am a "Senior Citizen" (63) who just purchased a ukulele. I have no experience playing a string instrument, but found, with your guidance, that "You are never too old to learn new things." I am loving it and will even more as my fingertips become "hardened". Beautiful voice and fantastic teaching skills. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hello, Ia Orana, Aloha, (Ôté), I'm from Réunion Island (Indian Ocean) and starting to learn Ukulélé. Right now, to hard to sing in the same time but... I will do it. Thank you, Mauru' Ru, (Merci bien)
After reading others comments, I admit that I too am a senior of 70 + yrs. Learning a UKULELE or any string instrument for 1st time. Been practicing for 6 weeks total since I got a Ukulele. It's coming along slowly, but enjoyable journey
I just got my Ukulele and I am 58 years of age. I have never played an instrument and you are able to teach me what I had never been able to do or understand. Thank you. Oh, I work as a firefighter in the Bay Area and after dinner I practice with your help.
I just love to learn from you. Every day I try and learn a song from you.I am 77 and my husband is 82 we just got our Ukuleles. I also live in the Bay Area . We would love to meet up with you some day. Do you ever have beginners jams? Thank you so very much Pauline
Not me,, Sadly enough I started looking at her hair and a week later her eyes and couldn’t concentrate any more. Eventually one day thought to my self “I will never have her” and I cried. That was it for the lessons from Cyn for two weeks until I could get a grip. Good inspiration for my next song. LOL if ya want,,,, : (
John Hubble i literally got cancer trying to read this and I still don’t fully get it, so you fell in love with her and couldn’t concentrate?? This lady has a husband, and ain’t lesbian? Are you okay John lol.
Bought my first ukulele this week, I am 74 and ready for learning. I found you Cynthia and love your teaching style, I feel I am progressing already, thank you
Hello, Ia Orana, Aloha, (Ôté), I'm from Réunion Island (Indian Ocean) and starting to learn Ukulélé. Right now, to hard to sing in the same time but... I will do it. Thank you, Mauru' Ru, (Merci bien)
I am also a senior citizen and at 85 just bought a Ohana pineapple yuke. Found your strumming lessons on the internet. You are an inspiration, I will learn with your help. I put my guitar down 55 years ago, but all is not lost if I can get the fingers working again.
I can’t imagine out of 7.6 THOUSAND Thumbs Ups, there are 259 Thumbs Downs. It’s difficult to fathom ONE thumbs down; like who would give you any thumbs downs when you are so talented with an incredibly sweet, soprano voice that is as professional as it gets. It shows that some people are downers no matter what. And if these people are proud of themselves for being honest, they should consider the old cliche, ‘If you don’t have anything good to say then don’t say it.’ Love love love the way you sang this!! I only wish I could one day be as good as you.
I’ve got no money, I have no style, but I have you to make me smile, so I don’t worry, I’m happy. Thanks for the lessons on how to shred on ukulele. My basic daily routine now is to exercise for an hour in the park, play the stratocaster, lunch, more stratocaster, food shopping, and then sit under a sakura tree learning ukulele from you.
Hi Cynthia, I love your tutorials! I am 56 and just started learning to play my ukelele. I love learning new songs with you. You teach it very well! Thank you. I live in Lincoln, Nebraska
Hey Cynthia - dunno if you still check these comments on these ancient videos but I'm just starting out, on my first week, and after several attempts to try and learn musical instruments and the uke specifically, this time I'm not just into it but I feel compelled to do my 10 minutes min of practice everyday and Im getting the hang of the early chords and the switching and strumming. AND it's all thanks to you. You have a wonderful vibe and a really sweet chiller feel - as a uke teacher you are hands down fantastic and make me smile while playing. Just like the uke itself. Thank you and look forward to making my way through all these lessons. \m_
My best friend gave me a beautiful uke for Christmas back in 2013 and I tried learning many times with the book that came with it and I became frustrated, it was just not fun at all. Too stressed from work and still have to learn music? Nah...I gave up. now that I've found your tutorials, I cannot wait to come home from work and play! It is fun and I'm actually learning! Thanks so much! There's a song I'd love to learn and it will be very easy for all beginners out there. It is Bob Dylan's "All I Really Want to Do". If you could have a tutorial for it, I'll really appreciated. Thanks!
wow, So recently I bought a Uke, and I have to say that I am NOT musically gifted at all.. you have made it so easy for me and I actually feel like I'm progressing.. You teach amazing and are a beautiful singer
You're a very good teacher, I play piano and sing since the age of 7 but I could never take the piano with me anywhere so I learn ukulélé since last week and i just follow your videos, thank you, you're like a new friend to me :-)))
Been practicing from different channel and thanks God I found u Ms Cynthia the first strum I learn from u is STAND BY ME since from d start I hardly practicing the strumming pattern and when I start watching ur video I learn some of it....thank you so much. Keep it up. God bless
Got the perfect strummimg finally after trying for 3 days.would have watched the last part for at least 20 times. A slow progress I know. But the moment made my day. Thank you cynthia. Best teacher☺
You are a wonderful teacher, Cynthia! I have played the guitar for a long time and suddenly moved into the yukulele because I want my 8 year old granddaughter to learn. There is a yukulele jamming group starting up in my town and I want to join, so I am using the yukulele I bought for my granddaughter for Xmas to learn on until Xmas. It's so fun! Thank you for your inspiration!
I just found out about you while searching for ukelele lessons...Your lessons are simple to understand and your voice is beautiful!!! Thank you so much for your time and love in making these lessons available ❤️❤️❤️
Your teaching method is awesome!! Although I majored in music ed, strings just didn't click for me. I tried guitar several times and it felt like I was learning a foreign language never spoken out loud before. I thought about a uke several years ago and brushed it off as another string I couldn't play. 6 weeks ago, I decided to try it anyway. I'm so glad I did and your videos have been a huge help!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
You are an awesome teacher Cynthia. I just started learning how to play the ukulele from the last two weeks and I already know how to play four songs. Thank You So Much.xo
Love your smile , love your voice . My GF is finally stepping out and becoming more confident with singing and playing and she is amazing . Thank you for showing the confidence .
Cynthia Lynn I Love your voice & Positive & kind patient manner in teaching the Ukelele. I' am new to this but I'm learning a lot from you.Thank you👀So much I Love it!💜Sincerely Sara Smothers🙂

I am going to join and am happy to pay something... Please send me info on your links. Big hugs ! Don't Worry Be Happy and 3 Little Birds are among the first 4 songs I taught my grandkids (via Facetime). They are 7 and 10 years old! regards, patti from Montreal.
I only play guitar for years. But you make me to play Ukulele. I love it to see the hole song first and then the explenation to it. PLZ do lots of more songs like this :)
I've just picked up a ukelele for the first time 3 days ago (I've never played an instrument before) and your videos are by far the most helpful for learning to play! Thank you for making and sharing these videos with us.

Hi Cynthia: I'm just learning uke. Your lessons are great for newbies! Many of the other peoples' lessons are too hard for absolute beginners. These are perfect! Thank you!!
Thanks so much! Your videos are very helpful and similar to the style you have in class. Although, it's so much fun to play with everyone in class and have your personal tips.
I love your online class! I am beginner of ukulele, you explain so clear and listening to your sing for this video just made me smile in this pandemic time.
I forgot that the ukulele does remind me of Hawaii. Didn't this instrument originate in Hawaii? I suddenly felt like laughing, when you Cynthia sang in the lyrics" don't frown then everybody would be down.. don't worry.. be happy.." to be happy and smile. That's what i used to do So Much, until too much troubles came to me. I will definitely learn to play the ukulele because it makes everyone happier. It did for me! : ) I love your tutorial. your so kind and patient and a lovely soul. Thank you. Oh, i found IZ one evening, then you the next day while searching for Island images of hawaii or something. I really think it was God lead. I am South american, French, and American Indian.
