Disneyland Park Paris 2nd to last? The best castle, also the best entertainment of all Disney owned parks, paved the way for drones in Disney... Has had the best Anniversary of any Disney park over the last few years…. While there are less rides than American parks, the rides that are shared DLP does better. Food could kinda agree. Operation, DLP manages to balance wayyyy more languages than any other parks whilst keeping the magic alive. Disneyland park Paris has been done dirty 😭 Agree with WDS being last though.

Having visited several Disney parks over the years (and TDL just recently) what stands out is the crowds. Japanese visitors to TDL are disciplined, quiet (with a notable, joyous exception), and up-beat. Whereas Western visitors to these parks tend to look like Central Casting’s extras rejects from the Walking Dead, Japanese park-goers dress up and really get into the spirit of the day. And while TDL’s lines are crushing, they tend to move smoothly because people follow directions and unspoken rules of civility. They also sit in orderly, polite rows for the parades. No pushing, shoving or stepping on each other. And no rush for the entrance/exit. The BayMax ride is an exception to the quietness rule: this is a high-energy ride with the attraction being the crowd itself, who totally get into the theme with wild gyrations, dancing and singing. Seriously, the ride is just so-so, it’s the Japanese people waiting to ride it that make it such an uplifting experience.

So, I don't usually ever comment, but I want to say a couple of things regarding Disneyland Paris. So I agree Hollywood Studios Paris should be at the bottom, and it's a bit of a mess now with the rethemed Iron Man ride and the car overlay on the back stage scenes tour. The park needs much love; however, I can't entirely agree with your ranking of the Disneyland Paris park, and I would rate it higher than the Magic Kingdom in Florida. Here is why. Disney land paris has an atmosphere that Florida has lost; when I was last in Florida Magic Kingdom, I had to leave and go to Epcot. It's got too overcrowded to the point of unenjoyable, and when I ever spoke to staff, they just seemed stressed and overworked. In Paris, there are fewer rides, but the ones there are pretty good, with a better Thunder Mountain, pirates, and a Buzz Lightyear that doesn't look beaten up. The park is still enjoyable; you can get on a ride for 25 minutes or less without having to pay individual pass lanes, Genie Plus or even join a virtual queue. Regarding food, I wish I could post photos; the last time I was there, I went to Captain Jack's restaurant and had a fantastic 3-course meal for 45 euros. On the Disney Paris site ,they really do have the most fantastic themed signature cocktails that have to be tasted. 🎉

The fact the having more thrill rides is considered a con is exactly why I don’t mesh with Disney folk. I get that not everyone likes thrill rides, but there is a whole park right next door full of kiddie rides. And also, there’s like two thrill rides in DCA. Maybe three if you stretch the definition of “thrill” so give me a break. 🙄

It's not surprising that the Japanese own and operate the two best Disney theme parks in the world. There seems to be a difference in terms of corporate culture in Japan. There are countless videogame IP's as well as anime and manga that have been successfully managed for decades. Things like Mario, Zelda, Gundam, Hello Kitty, and many more. Meanwhile, American corporations seem to always have the same corporate trajectory, a slow but steady decay into soulless asset (IP) management, procurement and outsourcing. There's a clear absence of any real authenticity, creativity or passion.

Saying "thrill" rides are a con is just insane. There are more visitors than just small kids. For me that is a big pro, how on earth can this be a con?! I wouldnt consider any ride at disney a real thrill ride anyway. Those are just rides you can feel anything, what is actually the main concept of a "ride". Otherwise its only a show....

Fast forward to 2019: my mom and I did a girls trip, we went to Epcot then went to see Rob Thomas in Tampa. 😂 She changed her mind on Epcot. I cannot disagree more regarding DCA. This park is beautiful, great food, shade, great rides.... this ranking breaks my heart. Is is vastly superior to all parks except maybe Epcot. Especially Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (in my humble opinion, the worst. It's flat, hot, no great food and easily a half day visit. Plus, w/o the Great Movie Ride, it's just not great). WDW is only a strong opinion when you visit it as a whole entity. I can't remember a video from you that missed the mark quite like this one.

The main reason I prefer Disney's California Adventure is because of their exciting E-ticket rides, but my visit was back in 2014 before Disneyland added Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and before California Adventure made some changes that I wasn't a fan of such as the transformation of California Screamin' into the Incredicoaster, so that could change when I visit both parks this August.

Honestly, Animal Kingdom is super easy-going (for the most part). Depending on the time of year, the ride lines usually keep in that 20-30 minute wait time frame (aside from Flight of Passage), the shows are easy to get into, the walking animal trails are rarely ever packed out, and you might even stumble across a last-minute reservation at one of the sit-down restaurants, too!

Epcot has one great ride in Guardians and the rest are hour plus waits for small dark rides because the park lacks enough attractions. Frozen being a re-skin, Ratatouille with screens is overrated, Soarin’s outdated (4k anyone?) Finding Nemo is a one and done, Mission Space is basically un rideable, and so is Journey into Imagination (skunk smell is the worst thing in imagineering 🤢) and Spaceship Earth is dusty and falling apart.
They would have to fix 90% of the park but instead they tore out the buildings in the middle and did next to nothing with their budget there. Epcot might have been a great park once, but now it’s just a mess. Guardians is still the greatest rollercoaster I’ve ever been on, but it’s not enough to make me love that theme park.

I have only done the 6 domestic parks; 6-DCA, 5-Hollywood Studios, 4-Animal Kingdom, 3- Epcot, 2-Magic Kingdom, and 1-Disneyland. DCA has so much un-realized potential it could easily move up. Hollywood Studios has Galaxy's Edge which is great but has a weird layout with empty spaces and bottlenecks. Animal Kingdom Pandora, real animals, and solid food options. Epcot is a great relaxing park, with plenty of non-ride activities and the rides are pretty solid as well. Magic Kingdom love the different lands and the character interactions. Disneyland is a 'better' Magic Kingdom with Galaxy's Edge.

Please go back to dlp as I'm sorry but you seem to have no idea what the place is like, and the fact you are willing to bolster other parks for being the first or the best version of rides and then neglect the fact that phantom manor and space mountain at dlp are without doubt the best of their title, plus the fact that crush is not just an exclusive coster for Disney but an exclusive coaster in the world, and Ratatouille was built at dlp before any other park. So please actually go back and experience the parks and please understand that it's not the nosebleed little brother that people still treat it as from the days it was euro Disney in the 90s

Me personally I am a huge Disney fan, and thrill seeker. So, when I want to ride a big roller coaster with a bunch of loops.... well, I can't really rely on Disney for that. If I'm in dire need of a theme park thrill, I would be better off going to Universal Studios in Orlando. I hate to say that but it's true. Disney needs to add more thrill coasters and less small water boat rides in my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Disney California Adventure only has one coaster with a loop and out of the 4 Disneyworld parks, Hollywood studios is the only one that has a coaster with a loop. I'm not saying coasters without loops are boring, but it is a good addition for those who want high drops and thrills. I think it would be so cool if they added a Hercules area in one of the theme parks and had a lighting fast coaster there. (Disney I would be more than happy to join the planning committee lol)!!

Disrespecting Joe Rohde! Animal Kingdom is an awesome park with a unique rides, attractions, and shows nowhere else. This park is probably the closest to Walt's vision of "edutainment." The Festival of the Lion King alone is Broadway-worthy! Why do you need a criteria of how many rides there are or how fast you can blow through it? There can be too many rides that makes a park visit feel more like an exhausting marathon than a family experience. Hollywood Studios is OK, but definitely NOT better than AK.

For me the rides are the main thing. I dont care about shows or food so much. Both California Parks have a very special wow factor. Nothing can match that. Its such a nice atmosphere. California itself is something special and for me its the best location to put a Disney Park. Out of the Orlando Parks I like Hollywood Studios by far the most. It simply has the best rides. Then Disneyland Paris...I just have to put it in 4th since I am from Europe and you just have to admit that their version of Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain is by far the best. I think it needs refurbishment and new stuff very urgently, but its still really nice.
I have never been to the Tokyo Disney Parks, so I just put them in the middle since I think they might end up there for me based on what I have seen of it. Personally I think Animal Kingdom pretty boring, the only thing that is really good there is Expedition Everest. But I am not a big animal lover, for me its more like zoo, so its just not my thing. Going to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea later this year. Excited! Agree about a lot of the bottom of this list with the Paris parks being pretty mediocre (though Crush's Coaster is one of my favorites). Definitely would not return there. My top parks after Tokyo are all at Disney World: Epcot #1 (rides aren't the greatest, but the different festivals each season make it fun to go at different times of year), Animal Kingdom #2 (Dinoland is bad so glad they are replacing that, but the rest of the park is just amazing with the safari and shows like Lion King. While there aren't many rides, it has 3 great ones in Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and my favorite Disney ride of any park in Flight of Passage), Hollywood Studios #3 (great and numerous shows along with a couple good rides in Slinky Dog Dash and Rise of the Resistance). Magic Kingdom is just not good... rides are old and broken and lines are too long for what you get so I'd push that way down the list.

It has fewer rides of significance than AK. It's my least favorite park. I'd rank it down near the bottom of the whole list, maybe just above Paris. For me, it's MK, AK, HS, and EPCOT a distant fourth in Disney World. Note that I'm a VERY picky eater and would only eat chicken tenders and fish & chips at EPCOT. I don't go to Disney for food. I'll be taking my wife to Disneyland in June for her 70th birthday. I went there once in 1982, but it's changed a lot since then.

EPCOT was my favorite park when I went to WDW at age 8. My brother, who turned 5 on that trip, also loved it. I have very fond memories of walking around the world showcase, pin trading with cast members, and learning about different cultures. I loved watching the Chinese acrobats, and the Nemo ride was one of my favorites. I loved doing Kidcot. I loved eating French pastries and playing on the playground. EPCOT felt very chill and laid back, which is probably part of why I loved it so much. My memories of Disney are mostly not of rides, but of the cool theming and other attractions. Kids aren't a monolith, so you can't assume no kids like EPCOT.

I'm a bit more of a thriller seeker over atmospheric type, but the food is definitely a big factor for me too. My rankings for the 5 that I have been to (I only went to disneyland once when i was in middle school)
    1) Hollywood studios
    2) Epcot
    3) Animal Kingdom
    4) Disney Land
    5) Magic Kingdom
I'd really like to go to the ones in Tokyo but the price just to get to Japan is pretty steep, also I've always wanted to go to Japan so I'm not sure I'd be wanting to spend the majority of my time at the theme parks.
