I said the same thing, till i tried it, got my ass handed on a platter, I wrestled for 20 years won many titles, done BJJ for 5 years, Done judo for 10, I have never in my life ever experienced this sort of martial art, This system is no bullshit, Vlad is totally on a different level of expertise, thats why his moves look fake but i assure u, if u ever had a chance to go to Vlads seminars you will be humbled, and amazed what he can do.

@laoosting This is song of very famus Soviet singer Vladimir Vysotsky. He died in 1980. The name of this song is "Ну вот, исчезла дрожь в руках", it could have been translated as "Well, the trembling in my hands is gone"

you could incorporate the basic Systema principles of relax and breathe, but generally adding a stance is bad because it creates tension in the body, which is the opposite of what you're supposed to do in Systema.
Systema is an integrated combat method, meaning you learn all types of combat (striking, grappling, groundfighting, etc) but you likely won't become an expert in any one type of combat. this is why many Systema users have a background in other martial arts as well.

Beautiful work, as always. Might I ask: what is the name of the song? I can't get it out of my head, and don't want to.

@fenriz218 i hear u man..i think systema is most potent when used as a supplement almost. learn something like muay thai then apply systema principles to it. i used dvd's and i still find myself doing systema things when i spar when i'm not really thinking about it.

I guess you can say that systema can help your strikes but it's changing to using systema strikes. Any type of stance would go against systema philosphy of relax, breathe and move and with a stance will affect your ability to move. Well, there is ground fighting, which is fighting from the ground or grappling both can incorporate systema basics of breathe, relax and move.

@HelgiWartooth777 Wing Chun and systema that is now being trained has many similarities and a lot of things that they share. The mongolian warriors have been lying between china and russia for many thousands of years. The mongolians even got to ukraine where they where stopped and pushed back. Some mouvements that mongolians used where learned from the chinese and the russians used it into systema.

@koshkudro so lets say im a pro mma fighter and i want to improve or an edge on my striking by adding systema into my martial arts, will that help? if so, how? could i keep training muay thai or boxing stance and technique but use the systema punch system? does adding a stance to systema make it less affective or more effective? and is the graound fighting in systema good enough to handle a wrestler and/or jiu jitsu? if so how does it differ? and how does systema breathing help? plz answer

@DimebagVision i think you can not be soft and tender and enter the cage and than still win? it is hard to stay calm if somebody really gives all he got to beat the shit out of you.. i have some boxing experience myself and when i lowered my hands my opponent gave me a few strikes i could still feel a week after the match
