Adam Sky filharmonic played "manila envy" which were dubbed lady boys. asia's got talent is irrelevant because the movie was filmed last year lmao
I think Elizabeth Bank (producer and director) really wanted to have a Thai a capella group in the movie to jive with the lady boy joke but since Filipinos are well known singers in Southeast Asia, they put an all Fil group. :)

Yes Tard....yes he is....hence why he brought it up....if he was close minded he would have said something more negative but, instead suggested to just remove it and capture a larger audience.
Personally I agree with him and the sound of their hands rubbing should have not been on the recording and sounds BAD. I'll be close minded. I personally think it sounded weak over all and there was a lot of audio auto tune involved here. Also the close ups of the main singer made me cringe for 10 seconds and i had to turn this off.
First time seeing this vid and the last time due to close ups of porky in the middle. Dear god....how hard is cardio seriously....

because it's literally part of the original song, from the movie Pitch Perfect 2. The performance started off with an entire section of that snapping/clapping/hand rubbing thing. Sorry to hear it bothers you, but it makes it an accurate cover as part of the beat.
Personally, I find the sound similar to rustling cloth. not a common sound effect, but not cringe-worthy either.
