    Your sensor does not ping the satellites.

    "We send basically a message up to the satellite and the satellite comes back down and tells us where we are."
    *No!* That absolutely doesn't happen. Those satellites don't receive anything at all, and they don't know where your device is.

    We send a message to the satellite? Do you actually know how GPS works?

    Thank you so much now this makes sense to me and I'm able to understand it, you're really a good teacher!!!
    Anyways, I want hear also more about Site-specific management as well as precision agriculture and these approaches are linked with GPS and GNSS.
    Thanks!.

    Thank you pretty much for this informative video about the difference between GPS and GNSS. Could you possibly illustrate how an aircraft executes a GNSS procedure? Many thanks in advance.

    Are mobile phones connected to gnss or gps ?

    So a GN main talker is more stable then a GP main talker, but can be alittle slower in update rate due to multi protocol, is this correct?

    Only one small mistake : GPS receiver does not send or transmit any thing to satellite

      Except not a "small mistake". I'm not even a GPS expert and I know this.

    So. Is GNSS a better system? Because more satellites working together is better than just one country’s?

      Non Arkara: GNSS is more accurate than GPS alone.

    How well does Beidou (BDM) work in the americas?

    • @Inertialsense
      @Inertialsense  3 года назад +1

      Beidou alone doesn't add as many satellites as GPS, GLONASS, or Galileo in the Americas. However, increasing the number of available satellites in general is helpful, especially if you are in urban environments where your visibility to the sky may be reduced. For example, if you are in a city and only have an narrow section of the sky visible, adding a few satellites can make a difference in the GNSS ability to estimate position. This is the main reason modern GNSS receivers have added support for multiple constellations. That said, I wouldn't recommend using Beidou alone in the Americas as there are fewer satellites.

    Flagrantly wrong and misleading video. Your device absolutely does not communicate with satellites, GPS L1,2 are STRICTLY one-directional. Do better.
