    that's fantastic,but i wanna know Positioning information from other avionics can be used to improve positioning accuracy. such as inertial navigation systems?

    • @ATPLStudent
      @ATPLStudent  Год назад +1

      That depends on the capability of your avionics, For example in Airbus the FMGS calculate/update its position with both the IRS and GPS; and come to GPIRS position.

    Pls add GAGAN (GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation). First LPV approach is promulgated for Kishangarh airport in India.

    Is the SBAS correction sent to the aircraft via the Geo stationary WAAS Satellites or sent to all GPS satellites where they forward the correction to the SVs? So say I am in Iqaluit in the arctic and on a LPV approach to RWY 16, where is the correction coming from, one of the 3 GEO WAAS sats ?

    • @ATPLStudent
      @ATPLStudent  Год назад +1

      You are right, the corrections are received from the GEO sats by the on board SBAS receiver (WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS..). That's why non SBAS equipped aircraft cannot fly LPV or any other types of approaches that require high accuracy and integrity.

    • @ATPLStudent

      That's the speed at which the SVs orbit

  • @sumitmishra9217

    Why 5 to 10 degrees above the horizon during trilateration? How is this derived?

    • @ATPLStudent
      @ATPLStudent  Год назад

      So that the signal can be reached to the receivers.

    Hello guys, does any body knows about; how fast is the data traveling from satellite to the receiver?

    • @ATPLStudent
      @ATPLStudent  Год назад +2

      At the speed of radio waves which is more or less at the speed of light.

    • @yurisologuboff7419
      @yurisologuboff7419 Год назад

      @@ATPLStudent More than a speed of light??? Bollocks! Just less in any media, not in vacuum.
