YPCofNYC x Girls4Tech (Pt2)

This is YPC’s second year partnering with MasterCard. After the success of last year, YPC was excited to send choristers again. One chorister loved the event so much last year, she wanted to return. The MasterCard staff was thrilled to welcome her and her colleagues back for another day of learning.
Choristers were able to participate in several activity stations that were designed to represent algorithms, encryption, fraud detection, data analysis, and digital convergence technologies. These activities were then connected back to MasterCard and how they implement these technologies in their products and services.
Choristers were given T-Shirts, a certificate of completion and pamphlet about how important STEM education is and how we use STEM everyday. These activities required choristers to problem solve and use STEM skills to figure out how to solve the problem, build code, and optimize outcomes.
At the end of the event, choristers were given T-Shirts, a certificate of completion and a pamphlet about the importance of STEM education and how they can use STEM in their future careers.
