As someone who's done work with zoos, that one window actually makes sense! Sometimes the animals like to go off and hide from the others, and that one corner between the window and the tower would be a perfect spot!
@@Wi-Fi-El I was working with their media team, so I actually got to go into the red panda and fennec fox enclosure. One of the best experiences of my life!
I'd really suggest breaking up some of the MILS plates you have that include multiple structures - there are natural breaks that you're not making use of. The aquarium, for example, has a much larger base than it needs, so other structures overlap into that space and you have to take the aquarium out to do almost any zoo work
If you removed the brown wall on either side of the Aquarium, it will give the illusion that your Zoo is much larger, but it just disappears into the wall
I am loving these zoo/city updates! I don't have space to build out my city, so I am living vicariously through Jordan and his efforts. I was so excited to see monkeys in the thumbnail!
The zoo is looking great! I love all the details. Awesome job bringing your vision to life! And glad to hear you sounding better. Hope Josee and the twins are better too.
Your zoo is incredible. I think it’s the best part of your city. Amazing! I’m so jealous we don’t have the space to do a zoo. It’s seriously outstanding. The monkey exhibit is top notch.
How about putting a fruit vendor beside the penguin exhibit with apples, cherries and bananas but have the crate of bananas nearly empty. Then put loads of bananas at the top of the tower so that it looks like the chimps have been stealing the bananas.
The Zoo is coming along quite nicely and I love it. However you definitely definitely have to have some kind of cover up or enclosement for the monkey exhibit. The roof can't just be opened like that. Especially having chimps in the exhibit. They would definitely climb over and terrorize the place. Chimps are extremely dangerous. Over than that you are awesome, keep up the lovely work.
Looks amazing! You could hollow out the base of the tower and add a cave exhibit with bats and spiders, or even Gollum with the one ring... my precious...
You did a great job on the monkey enclosure, leave the brown for the jungle gym but add some color to the tower, it blends in to the grey wall behind it.
Love the monkey exhibit. I thought the tower was a bit out of place at first, and a large tree would be more natural but the LEGO castle vibe is really cool. It could be a theme in your zoo? There are palm trees around each exhibit but if there was a more over arching theme like some castle elements could be a really fun idea?
Maybe there is some sort of way you can use a technic plate with holes in it and then run the tubing down the millsplate to give some more extra support to your tree in the aviary! Nicely done with the monkey!
Monkeys and chimps together makes sense because they live in many of the same environments in the wild. Sloths coexist with monkeys too, so I imagine they'd be fine around chimps
I really love the money home with all the bits and pieces to climb and swing and foliage, gives a little tropical feeling somehow!! We also have to keep in mind, Its LEGO scenery and we don't have to take it to serious up to a 100% for the monkey enclosure escapes :P
The Tan snot bricks could represent Rope, looks amazing, I always love money enclosures monkeys always was a favorite animal of mine when I was younger
Could you slit up the mills plates, one for the aviary and the rock face, one for the aquarium and then maybe make the monkey mills plate bigger to fit the hole exhibit. You could also make the cave entrance and ramp on one mills plate
Zoo looks great. I’d put the panthers back by the lions where you have the alligators and move the alligators by the bears. That way you seem them off to the left as soon as you enter and you can see them from the ramp of the walkway as well. I think that would look good
I feel a train station would look great on that corner! The lower part could be part ticket area and part platform for the lower track. Stairs would lead up to a unique curved upper platform! I just think it'd be an opportunity to have two stations in one serving both lines plus some neat architecture.
I would put the polar bears on the side where the penguins are. I feel like extending the polar bear exhibit in the front of the aquarium will block a lot from the side of the monkey exhibit
If you swapped the outfitted areas of your aquarium, you could shift it over to next to the monkey exhibit. The building wall could be clear on the bottom and looking into the monkey exhibit. Plus, it would have the bonus of putting the aquarium on the one mils plate versus spanning the two.
I think there should be more perches in the monkey exhibit. Otherwise it looks good. I like the angled roof. It would fun to make some stories in the zoo with the monkeys trying to escape the enclosure. It might help to divide the aquarium onto two different baseplates similar to the aviary
For the part with the glass windows you should put also something like a wire fence so they can climb easier to the tower and also to not escape And put barbed wire at the end of the wired fence
I would move the tower to the left side and the house to the right. That would allow guests to view the upper level tower from the walkway and see into the house from the windows.
Re: removing mils plates from the city. (Similar to the strip that removes bstteries) I would suggest putting some clear tape on the bottom of the mils plates in the middle and then fold it over on itself to give a little “tab” to grab onto to pull out the plate
Looking great! Your back IS going to hurt, even if it's high enough because you'll still be leaning over to reach. I recommend doing the back sides (including tiling) around the aquarium so you're not trying to work over stuff next. Might also help to remove the road in front of the zoo to make it easier to reach/remove as well.
You should add a second set of doors on each entrance of the aviary. If you put the doors on the side entrance facing the zoo entrance it would fill in that space between the aviary and aquarium nicely
Maybe add some tires to the monkey exhibit? and also do you have fruit elements? you could add those as food for the animals idk just some ideas. :) it looks amazing,. x
I was thinking along those lines… I remember there being hammocks and tire swings in the Topeka zoo. I thought that if he took out the base of the tower and turned it into four pillars then there would be an area for a hammock and it would also make it so the glass windows in that area aren’t being wasted looking at a blank wall. Really loved his idea of putting a cart between the monkeys and aviary. Jordan’s videos are the best!
Looking nice, but I don't understand that big bulky tower in the monkey enclosure. It looks out of place and something you would see at the airport guiding airplanes. But if you like it, that's all that matters. 🙂
I think the aquarium is in the wrong place, try moving it to where you have the pig, it would open up that middle section and you wouldnt be stuck with the 2 narrow alleyways
I wondering how U going to inclose it with out yousing glass pannle s I'm guessing thos bar balcony part would be good to stack up .for a cadge type of effect to keep the Monky in than escaping or cas a wiar mesh .effect Lego not have a part like ..wiar mesh .for thay inclosure...or could you s window frame s add cee thru pannle s with a mesh sticker detail on them .
I guess my concept of the mills plates was incorrect. I thought all things would be limited to one plate. Maybe two plates. Doesn’t that support the modular concept better? Could you not connect things to 2 mills plates, put up next to each other, But not actually connect them. So each zoo exhibit would be “self contained”. The walk ways would just shrink the exhibit space on that plate. Almost the way the pandas are. Aquarium-. Ok size but keep each component of it on its own mills plate or half plate. Just curious. Seams to me by connecting/overlapping the mills plates, you have created such a large “plate” it’s now not moveable and sorta defeats some of the purpose of the mills plate. Really enjoying your progress and appreciate you voicing your thought process.
I think the polar bear would be better off separately from the aquarium. It would look a bit out of place being so large. Instead maybe switch them for the new lego river otters in the new 2023 set
I don’t think you need the big grey tower in the monkey exhibit. But if you think it needs something, a tree would be better that the tower. But more natural looking. I tree house look hide out rather than the cement lookout tower. But personal preference.
Looks awesome bro! wish I could have your creativity with this stuff. I have hit a major lul in my work lately and just can't seem to figure what to do. I need lego friends hahhaha
As someone who's done work with zoos, that one window actually makes sense! Sometimes the animals like to go off and hide from the others, and that one corner between the window and the tower would be a perfect spot!
I would love to work at a zoo if I could play with baby animals. I got to pet a tiger cub once and it was awesome

@Gretchen Hanna that sounds amazing I'd love to see a fennec theyre my favourite species of fox

Good idea
Animal will run away
@@fromis.9 whut? Removing the small parts of wall that aren't part of an enclosure turns the zoo into a facade so it seems much larger than it is
I’d do a mirror plate behind the aviary and aquarium. Would make it look really big
@@Jason-zm4xq a mirror would just add duplicate enclosures and take up space misaligning the whole zoo, and subsequently the rest of the city

Looks great. Small suggestion - Switch the white wall in the polar bear area to a window for easier viewing.
love the new monkey Park and 3 amingos in tower looking awesome done brilliant

Love these zoo updates!

I like the combination of different colored bricks. Monkey exhibit is looking good. Great video
You should put a small exhibit at the Zoo entrance. Maybe a flamingo pond with fountain or Maybe a small sloth exhibit.
You could create a small scene where a couple of monkeys have escaped and are attacking the Banana Man minifig.
Very cool enclosure! Idea: put some banana's up in the tower! :)
If you swapped the outfitted areas of your aquarium, you could shift it over to next to the monkey exhibit. The building wall could be clear on the bottom and looking into the monkey exhibit. Plus, it would have the bonus of putting the aquarium on the one mils plate versus spanning the two.
It looks great!!! Love the tower!!!
Put a monkey on top of the gray tower cause they could probably reach that from the poles
I think there should be more perches in the monkey exhibit. Otherwise it looks good. I like the angled roof.
It would fun to make some stories in the zoo with the monkeys trying to escape the enclosure.
It might help to divide the aquarium onto two different baseplates similar to the aviary

The zoo is already a masterpiece!
I would move the tower to the left side and the house to the right. That would allow guests to view the upper level tower from the walkway and see into the house from the windows.
A small binocular stand by each of the aviary doors. That way each person can get a closer view of the birds.
Love the monkey exhibit ❤
zoo looks very good! sometimes in a monkey enclosure there are car tires on which they can hang or sit.
Favorite habitat so far!!!
Glad to see the classic monkeys! I was sad they’re not in the modern City:Wildlife line.
You could hollow out the tower and build in a snake exhibit using the newer python snake piece from the wildlife sets
Perfect opportunity for the railway part delivery service to get into action for the zoo inplace build.
Re: removing mils plates from the city.
(Similar to the strip that removes bstteries) I would suggest putting some clear tape on the bottom of the mils plates in the middle and then fold it over on itself to give a little “tab” to grab onto to pull out the plate
You could flip flop the lion exhibit with the elephant exhibit so you can keep the cats together
That tower really needs a throne for the Monkey King! :-D
Wow it’s awesome. Love the jungle gym . I don’t think the monkeys would want to escape their beautiful habitat lol . Tfs
I honestly think that after this and your Aviary you really should go into more MOC building. They look great.
for the monkeys you should take away the viewing railing and put more glass windows all around and then maybe a net roof
Looking great! Your back IS going to hurt, even if it's high enough because you'll still be leaning over to reach. U should make a whole tour of the zoo when ur done I’d love to see that
ah, the crocodiles are fed flamingos ;) good thing they are all secured on studs and won't be moving around much, zoo is turning out very nice,
I like the little sloth hanging from that branch😄

Bring back the old Aquarium! Connect the Aviary to exit into the aquarium and put double doors on the front.
Monkey exhibit is not safe for people on the bridge. Maybe a barrier of some sort?
Looking nice, but I don't understand that big bulky tower in the monkey enclosure. It looks out of place and something you would see at the airport guiding airplanes. But if you like it, that's all that matters. 🙂
If you hollowed out the square base of the tower could you make it so that the monkey could climb up the interior of the tower if they wanted?
I think the aquarium is in the wrong place, try moving it to where you have the pig, it would open up that middle section and you wouldnt be stuck with the 2 narrow alleyways

I think some trees with platforms in them would look better and more natural than a giant tower.
Done with the monkey business!
🤣
I was looking forward to the zoo update too! Kudos for uploading so frequently (that is no small feat). Cheers!
Angled brown wall should be on the opposite side to keep the monkeys in their exhibit.
awesome video jordan the monkeys look amazing in the zoo great job
Hey i have a idea once your done or mostly done please do a time laps of how you built the city that would be super cool

The idea that pandas are big cats has me cackling 😂
Just call it the Primates Exhibit, that covers quite a bit AND you can stick humans in there to boot! 🐒
I think the polar bear would be better off separately from the aquarium. It would look a bit out of place being so large. Instead maybe switch them for the new lego river otters in the new 2023 set
integrate the tower into the wall, this way you save space and get rid of the window problem all at once
For the concession stand you should make a banana hut 🍌🛖 and or a smoothie stand
Just a recommendation but i think you should add a tire swing because whenever i go to the monkey exhibit at the zoo they have tire swings
Also the tower could be for the Winter Star Wars Scene if you like future wise
awesome but you need to angle the angle fence the other way otherwise the monkeys may escape 🙂💕
I don’t think you need the big grey tower in the monkey exhibit. But if you think it needs something, a tree would be better that the tower. But more natural looking. I tree house look hide out rather than the cement lookout tower. But personal preference.
As mentioned, the tower is inspired by Animal Kingdom.
I get that, like I said personal preferences. Your city. It’s what brings you joy. Thank you for putting it out there for us to view.
Have you thought about painting the walls to look like a sky and a background and hang things from the ceiling like clouds
i love your zoo😍i am so happy this zoo abdate🥳
the zoo looks amazing so far!
just an idea, have you thought of moving the penguins, polar bears, and seals into their own separate part of the zoo like the top right corner?
Hey bricksie you should add a dip and dots machine🫐❄️
Do you have any Monkie Kid figs? You could have a monkey siting in front of the glass wall with a Monkie Kid on the other side staring at each other.
Looks awesome bro! wish I could have your creativity with this stuff. I have hit a major lul in my work lately and just can't seem to figure what to do. I need lego friends hahhaha
You shouls make a video where you do a full tour of your city, every single detail.
Bob Brickman is building a museum for his Lego city, maybe that is something in your future as well.
The back wall could be raised like what was done for the aviary.
At my local zoo the monkey jungle gym is all brown, with tan ropes holding the ends together.
Looks amazing
Amazing video dude
wow thats some progress! looks wonderful
This looks so good man! You can really work some magic!😅👍
Did LEGO make any Rhinos or hippos? If I was able to create a LEGO zoo, it would house my Fantastic Beasts creatures like the Erumpent.
Could you switch the orientation of the aquarium so it would fit on one baseplate, Or move it?
Can you keep the whole zoo extracted at your desk and work on it until 100% completion, even if thats a week away or more?
6:55 someone call the ambulance for the Grandma
Thank you for the technique video.
