The world is always improving, and the “good old days” do not exist.
Amen. I’m happy why would I ruin that by changing it. My grandmother had 14 kids. She was typical mindset for her time. I heard no awful stories from any of her kids. No abuse. But each one of them abandoned her and used her to steal Canadian gov support money from her. I remember visiting her at one of her daughter’s home and she was still in her diaper covered in cockroaches. You’re better off saving that money you would have spent on raising kids and hire people to care for you.
The idea of getting married at 26 seems insane coming from a country where the age of first marriage has increased to 33 recently. Let alone having as many kids as possible before you've even figured out who you are yourself.

If I'm lucky, I will get to live in the same home as my children until they are old enough to leave home. I won't have to financially maintain two homes while scheduling time... to see them. Hopefully, my children won't have to live with a strange man barely vetted by their mother that goes on to hurt them in terrible ways. The birth rate for Caucasians in California is only 1.7 which isn't enough, that's why we now have more Latino kids in school than white and as a result California has the worst literacy rate of all 50 States and our educational ranking is now only 40th out of the 50 States. --The law of unintended consequences.
Babies needs clean air, clean water, healthy food, fertile soil, fertile man and woman. Those things do not exists on this planet anymore. We shouldn't blind our selves by force... is this understood?
It isn't. According to UN projections, which get increasingly accurate over time thanks to advances in technology and techniques, world population is set to rise to 10 billion by 2050. This represents a 25% increase on the current 8 billion in only 25 years. All this nonsense about population decline is insane. You should be talking about the huge migrations of population that are in prospect and how developed countries will deal will massive increases in the populations of aliens within their borders.
Yeah well. By 2050 It is not 10, but 9.7 B, according to the UN. That's like a full USA difference. But much more: this is only the medium prospect, while the UN ever more (except in 2004) made adjustments to their population futures in a negative way. So they consistenly overestimated the number of people there will be. Many others scolars besides the UN project much lower numbers. They, among other factors, 1- do not take the official numbers presented by China and Russia as gospel. 2- do not expect a rising fertility level in developed nations that dropped below 2.0 kids per woman. There are no precedents to assume this will be a worldwide trend at all. And besides all of that, what everyone even remotely involved in this matter is pointing out: it is not just the numbers, it is the numbers within the numbers. 10 or so B people, in the latter half of this century, but many or most of them will be (very) old in the whole wide world, besides Africa and some very isolated spots. Imagine how that would work in a democracy where there is a big minority of childless elders, living of the taxes, labour and care of about half of the population that is working. Hell, as a than senior with kids I would vote to deny childless other elders access to pensions and care. And so would many younger people as well, I can imagine. If you did't invest in the next generation, don't expect to live of it either, that kind of idea.
@@jeroendebruyne2165 your reply ignores the real world. Modern industrialized agriculture can produce huge food surpluses with tiny amounts of the population involved. That's partly why the populations in poor countries are exploding, surplus agricultural products being dumped as "aid" or at below production cost prices. Children are at least as much of a burden as old people from the point of view of cost and care costs so from an economic standpoint what difference does it make - except that old people go away whereas children become old people. Your ideas are directly at variance with observable reality. There was a "baby boom" after WW2. Fertility levels can change at the drop of a hat whatever country you're considering. Currently there is no real indication of world population declining. I would expect world population to continue growning strongly absent a collapse in world agricultural trade.
