Remember, arena is your key to success. I tried to kill the Eye of Cthulhu without an arena, platinum broadsword, decent armor, normal mode!?!?! - but couldn't defeat it. With arena? 9 Eyes in one night.
Just defeated Skellybro, some tips for you: Try to get the Goblin Tinkerer, for the Tinkerer's workshop (it saves your equipment space) and for reforging. Get a lot of money, and try reforging your equipment to get Warding (+4 defense). Get Meteor armor and a space gun for infinite shooting, or molten armor for great defense, or bee armor if you have summoning staffs. Build a big arena (4-6 platforms with a lot of horizontal space) and wait until the music turns to night. Remember to get Ironskin, Regen and other Potions; what suits you best. Also, for quick killing, you might want to take Molten armor and use a Minishark with Meteor Shots. Trust me, it works; I killed Skellybro using only Minishark.
what boomerang, if its a wooden one scrap it. also the best tactic imo (normal mode) is to target the head, and dont run around like crazy. as long as you have full shadow armour with a campfire nearby and maybe a heart lantern his arms dont do too much damage and its very easy to avoid the head when he spins at you (cant say same thing about expert mode XD) i say dont move too much because that way you're more accurate and with a tiny bit of practise you can just go down a platform or up when he slaps you
I really overprepared my first time as well. Molten armor and weapons, Star Cannon, the works. I like the balance of the hardmode bosses a lot more. Even if you're at the top of your game they can still blindside you if you're not careful

it is still highly possible still, you just need a good world. all you need is a wooden bow, 400 arrows, possibly a boomerang, potentially a source of doublejump, and once you get that important stuff, go to the jungle and find them, they are easy to find on a new world

I found him easy once you have full meteor armour and a space gun but thats after preparing way later in the game, it was this combo that helped me against the Brain of Cthulhu as i was more used to the Eater of Worlds.
*VERY IMPORTANT THING TO GET IF YOU WANT TO EASILY WRECK SKELETRON* Find about near 200 spiky balls, and use a bunch of those on his hands. It gets the job done QUICK. For his head, I recommend the blood butcherer if you can find or craft crimtane bars
That is a demon alter you can make what you need to summon the eye of cuthulu and water of worlds and can only be broken by a own hammer(drop from wall of flesh.) Doing so your world is blessed with mithral addimantite and cobalt.

I tried fighting him several times, and failed. I tried mimicking the platforms and I prepared myself with a lot of ranged weapons. I got quite close to defeating him. I had armor and special weapons that were quite powerful for noob. ( I'm a noob) You just rushed it like a boss, no armor, only few early weapons and whacked his ass. Sir I complement you to the fullest.

also apart from the boomerang the only weapon youre currently using that i recommend is the yoyo. if you're accurate enough i would use a silver+ bow

i have crimsone armor, ironskin potion ,healing potion ,ive got improved double jump ,emerld staf ohh btw is it crimson or crimston ? le me continue crimson sword ,water bold and 9hearts and mana but still died 2 times

I want to defeat skeletron with this set: molten armor, legendary nights edge, legendary enchanted sword, warding hand warmer, warding bezoar, warding cobalt shield, warding shield of Cthulhu, and a warding band of regen. (I'm doing a sword only run of terraria btw) any tips before I fight?
