Ladies and gentlemen, we have a dynasty in the works. In 5 years we could have the most stacked top 9 and back 6 in the league.
Hughes and co. have made a rebuild in the toughest market look like light work so far.
The habs will surely turn into a playoffs team for several years. I kind of doubt about a dynasty though. Some other teams are also presently rebuilding and will likely be very good too.

We don't need spoiled little princesses on our team. If we get an older talent, it will influence our youngsters, so we need a positive influence.
It’s 2 years which 2 to 3 is what we are looking for. We have the cap space to do it. What is he actually going to do to our prospects don’t think our young men are that impressionable. If he is toxic he only hurts himself. I don’t see LA falling apart because of PLD. I don’t want us to always play it safe. What are we going to do draft our championship team. We will spend our life saying we can compete in 2 years. Right now I don’t think our top prospects except Roy Hage and Beck even have a chance of being top 6. We do have other leaders on this team. I get that his contract is high but why was he given it in the first place we can contend but not win without top talent. Look at the top 4 teams in the Stanley Cup every team we would trade straight up our team for theirs. Yes even with Demidov.
I realy like Burrows but yes it takes a more experienced powerplay coach. but I still like Burrows had a good player career.

Why did Hughes make a pitch to Winnipeg for McGorty using Kovacevic as a part of a package ..!! They know him ...and Kovi would probably enjoy going back to his former team !! Instead ..he has to include other players ...and has a 4th round in2026 ..!!!!?? Maybe a missed opportunity.!!

We aren't the only team with assets that wants him. Winnipeg is just waiting for the highest offer, so it may take time prior it gets done !!!
In order to add another genuine top6 forward...it will be costly. You have to give to receive in a trade. Do Montreal have the assets to get a real top6 players without weakenning the futur of the team ??? It would likely be cheaper to get McGroarty out of Winnipeg. Time will tell !!!
