Klopp tbf was missing half the team in mid March and was forced to play kids.
Yeah but in april they were losing points left and right with almost everyone healthy

@@mirkecWii that's because the injured players on their return were unable to hit the floor running, fast forward to now the results speak for itself.

Klopp did the Shankly job and Slot is in for the Paisley Role now
Still too early to say that. Paisley won 6 league titles, 3 European (UCL) and 1 UEFA (Europa) for Liverpool. Slot has only been at Anfield for about 6 months, and he hasn't won anything yet. So, hold your horses, lest you could insult the memory of the great Bob Paisley.
EXACKLY what i felt when Slot gave his first interview
we are not saying Slot is like Paisley but that he have the road to leave an important amount of trophies if his team continues to perform this good. Let's see how it goes.
@@StringfellowHawke-zb1dpno one is comparing paisley to slot it’s just that the transition from shankly to paisley is comparable to klopp to slot and that’s in the similarities of how it happened not the achievements shankly and paisley got
I dont particularly disagree but referring new managers roles to older ones feels like discrediting their individual brilliancy and uniqueness of the team, all of them come, create , and conquer and Hopefully Slot continues the legacy

So true
Slot only needed 2 years to make AZ'67 a serieus contender for the Dutch title again (for the first time in many years), then he only needed 2 years to make Feyenoord champion again (also for the first time in many years). The only thing really surprising is that it looks like this time it may not even take him 2 years ;)

Hes got a better squad
Klopp's meticulously assembled team at his disposal eh?
@@redshift8302they were missing a 6, a vital position, what does he do? Transform a squad player Ryan into one of the best players in the whole league & they have the best defensive record. That is top management.

Klopp leaving was never the end of a cycle, that’s why his decision to leave was so unexpected. He had put the building blocks in place for the next cycle and handed that over to someone else to cultivate
Full respect to Klopp. But, Slot taking us to the top probably wouldn’t have happened with Klopp. New energy, ideas and tweaks were needed. However, Slot couldn’t have done it without Klopp!
@ While I agree and I really like Slot it is early days. He has helped all the Dutch players level up, Mo looks happier and there is a good feeling about the team

I can imagine Slot walking in and telling the players: you've been going 90mph for 90 minutes, what if I told you you can take a break and keep possession sometimes? 😅
Liverpool never went 90mph for 90 mins! Where are you getting that nonsense from? Liverpool started games quickly, for the first twenty minutes of a game, when Liverpool needed to. It depended on the opposition. Which is no different to how they play now. Liverpool still played to keep possession when they could not attack quickly. Just like they do now. Arne Slot has made tiny adjustments to how Liverpool play, however, it is still fundamentally the same way they played under Jürgen Klopp.
Arne Slot is doing a tremendous job with Liverpool at the moment, however, don't go disrespecting and dismissing how Liverpool played in the past. Arne Slot has not won anything at Liverpool, yet. He still has a long way to go. Don't turn on him when Liverpool start losing games.
Morpheus styleee...
@davidsimon5555 You're taking it too literally. Last season, our games were too intense, leaving us open and the players exhausted. Take it easy.
@@jimmyniful What nonsense! Our games are always intense! They are intense now! Your argument just asinine! Our players are still getting exhausted as much as they were now as they did before. Slot does not always play with the same first eleven in every game, and neither did Klopp. We are still as open last season as we were this season. Stop using your hatred for Klopp to make factually wrong statements.
Slot has had only 13 League games this season, there are still 25 games to go. I hope nothing goes wrong in those games, because people like you will start laying down hate on him as well. Last month of last season when we did not win. Not because we exhausted or too open than normal, it was because we did not put our chances away. That gave teams the incentive to draw or win.
Stop getting carried away and being hyperbolic about how we are winning games now, just take one game at a time. Enjoy each win as they come. If not, when things go wrong, and they will go wrong, you cannot go the opposite way and be hypercritical with the team.
"You're taking it too literally." You were the one that mentioned 90mph for 90 mins! I just literally copy the nonsense you wrote.
@davidsimon5555 I don't have to to read your dissertation, you're kind of rude.

Arne slot praise i get it but until he wins keep the conversation for later
Nice to see some genuine discussion with actual insight and analysis free from the usual tribalism. More of this and less of the likes of Bhav who make you look like an unserious channel.
Last season, Arsenal played Manchester City twice without Rodri and managed to take four points. They also faced Liverpool, who were down to nine men after Konaté’s red card and without Salah due to CAF competitions, yet still failed to win the league. This season, they played City again, with Rodri missing due to injury during the match, and couldn’t secure a win, settling for a draw instead. Arsenal and their fans are always full of excuses, much like their manager.
Now, they've lost Ødegaard for just over a month, and he’s already back, yet they whine endlessly about injuries. Meanwhile, Liverpool have had their fair share of long-term absences but don’t resort to constant excuses. Players consistently step up to fill gaps, ensuring the team doesn't falter. Without Konaté, Trent missed significant time and just returned, Bradley, who stepped up in Trent's absence, Jota has been sidelined for a while, but the team hasn’t skipped a beat. Gakpo, Luis Díaz, and Salah continue delivering at the highest level.
This is the difference between a well-run club with an elite mindset like Liverpool and a team like Arsenal, who always find an excuse for failure. Every season, there’s a new reason why they can’t win the league, whether injuries, officiating, or bad luck. Arsenal is a club drowning in mediocrity and excuses, and until they change their mentality, they will always fall short of greatness. Liverpool are simply a class above.
Brilliant analysis. So well described and detailed. Great job.
Kelleher our player of the month
Cant lie this the only non liverpool fan podcast that give liverpool its flowers with ENERGY!!!!!
If we get through Newcastle and Everton as well, it's looking incredible. I mean, these are very tough games for Liverpool considering we have some key injuries at the back, both away and Everton is the early kick-off after game on Wednesday evening against rabid Newcastle.
They have been in bad form lagely, but they did beat Arsenal, so tough opponent on St.James Park. Also, Everton show up for one game a year, and that is against Liverpool at Goodison. There is some jeopardy still, but we have been phenomenal so far.
Pellegrini also won 2 trophies in his 1st season at City including stopping Gerrard from winning PL title, don’t forget to mention that

when doku started to give trent problem at the wing, slot instantly change trent with quansah and nullify city effort. that is something that klopp will never do. cold tactician this slot man. YNWA.
That could be true but Trent came back from hammy injury so I think he took him of as a precaution
@@MF9138 yeah maybe both as precaution and tactical. because quansah come not as a right back but as doku's shadow. even when liverpool got the ball, quansah not following the formation shape but he just stick to doku all the time. fresh leg to win individual battle, that's also why i think slot didn't push gomez to RB.
Trent had doku in his pocket
Your comment is wrong! Doku still did the same thing when Quansah came on. He still went past Quansah down the wing. Doku did nothing dangerous when Trent was on the pitch, and did nothing dangerous when he was against Quansah. Trent defended well against Doku and always recovered whenever Doku went past him and stopped him crossing the ball into a dangerous attack. Trent was always going to be substituted regardless, just like he has been in previous games this season. To say that Klopp would not replace a player if they are struggling is so dishonest and disrespectful.
Gentlemen, love the show!! But what’s on your head-top. Was it a dare!!

Liverpool have all their summer transfer funds to reinforce and strengthen this Jan, plus injuries to come back and youth players to come in.
Apart from the weird headgear you spoke some truths but missed that Liverpool play 9 games in December alone. That's a crazy number of fixtures in one month
Everyone’s talking about Slot being amazing yet i feel like some people still underrate him, like we’ve played 19 games now and there’s literally one bad result in that period obviously being forest, the arsenal game is acceptable cus it’s away from home against the team that’ll likely finish second

Good Conversation
The first guy is talking sense, Impartial and fair analysis.
When talking about the best start for a new manager, you have to compare the competition, too. The league now is stronger than it has ever been. Comfortably better than when Mourinho came in.
I am not saying it was stronger back in 2004, however, back then Man Utd and Arsenal had a much better team back then. Liverpool had a decent squad.
3:09 He has obviously never seen Liverpool v Man City under Klopp then. Liverpool played a pressing game against Man City, as they have done in the past with Jürgen Klopp. Forcing Man City to make mistakes, just like they did in the past. This was in a period when Man City were playing better than they are now.

Utd gotta a better goal difference than citeh
Haaland reminded me of Ian Rush. A goal poacher whose sharp instinct could place him at the right spot at the right time to score.
But he can't create. Someone else needs to create the chance and feed him with the ball. The duty usually falls on KDB and without him, Haaland is lost.
Ian Rush defended from the front unlike Haaland who stands around like a statue. He needs to improve on his off the ball work and he'll be back in the best striker conversation soon.

So the hardest record to break in PL history is to win a league title and concede less than 15 goals, not win a PL without losing a single game?
They're equally difficult but if you had to pick one to be more difficult it would definitely be conceding less than 15 goals. There are 38 games where you cannot concede in the vast majority of them and have to be almost perfect defensively all season while still scoring. To go unbeaten, it's easier to not lose then to shut most teams out.
@@maisonhay375 Definitely not equally difficult, 15 goals is the European record, at least for a 38 game season in the modern era. Other teams have done invincible seasons - Milan, Juve, Leverkusen. Same argument with 15 goals being harder than 100 points, other teams have done it.
I think the actual stat is only 4/5 teams have conceded less than 20 in a single season in the top 5 leagues.
In my opinion: yes. You might, theoretically, go unbeaten but with as many as 15 draws, for example. 15 draws means 30 points dropped, which is a lot. Winning the title while losing only 15 goals or less is much more impressive.
@themidwife1624 I get what you're saying but I think you've gone beyond the scope of what I was saying... I don't really believe comparing the premier league to other European leagues is quite the same.. the Premier league is a lot more competitive with less skill gap between the teams and a lot more high quality players. But anyway, I said they're equally difficult things to achieve but if u read on I also stared that I believe conceding 15 goals is a harder achievement.
@@maisonhay375 Only one team's achieved those feats in the prem so you have to compare to others in Europe otherwise how can you judge what's harder outside of personal opinion. The difference in quality of the leagues averages out over time so there's no issue comparing them, Milan's invincible season came when Serie A was the dominant league and had the best players.
What's with them hats? Just back from the pool?

Arsenal fan here well done to slot wining PL first season but let’s add context he started with 4 factual Liverpool goats and a worst city side in 18 years (loss streak) Arteta started with Mustafi Kolasinac and Sokratis then Aubameyang and Lacazette up top vs city treble winners. Be factual then this season hardest opening 12 games injury to our glue player and refs making BS red cards that other teams would NOT get for same incidents.
Last season, Liverpool arguably had a tougher run. Red cards, bad decisions (Tottenham) and injuries. We were top for the majority of the season.
City have wrapped up the title as they own VAR/PGMOL.
