Love everything about this kayak but one thing I think You should also include a adjustable seat that raises up for more Heights on the water
Agreed. It needs to be adjustable. I'm not fond of the rivets, either. Otherwise, this is a great value!

I just purchased the 130 from Academy Sports and the 2 day on the lake my Hydryve broke, both rods broke while pedaling. I have sent in the pictures, serial numbers but cant get a response. I have researched and it seems the first generation experienced a lot of issues similar to mine and the rods have been changed with other improvements. Love the Kayak but the customer service and lack of response combined with this hydryve has left me questioning my purchase.
Who thinks this yak is a better option than the Riot Mako?
Just bought my first Pelican Catch 130hd and the rudder cable frayed and was hanging by a thread under the handle, 5 minutes into my first trip! It was a great trip until I couldn't steer it. Other than that the stability was great.

@@PelicanSportVideos yes I have thanks. I called and the representative was super friendly and helpful. She had me email images and details straight to her, they submitted a warranty claim, and the parts are in the mail. Looking forward to trying again!
Would you recommend this for saltwater?
You can definitely use this in salt water. Nevertheless, you must always make sure to rinse it down properly with fresh water after each use.
If these came in lime green or viper red, I would be a buyer. Personally I like to be as visible as possible on the water. Too many dark boats that blend in with the water and surroundings.

Just got one! however it did not come with the pelican paddle, that ii seen other catch 130's come with. Am i missing a paddle or does not every catch 130 come with one?
The Catch 130HD does not come from us with a paddle. However, some retailers (and sadly I don't know which off hand) have chosen to bundle a paddle with it.

hey pelican, ive recently picked up two pelican 130 hd fishing kayaks and absolutely love them. I've been doing extensive research on a kayak cart or dolly and had even ordered and sent back a few because they just didn't fit the size of the kayak. Does pelican make a kayak cart for the new catch 130 or do you know of any carts that would fit the kayak?
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a cart made to fit The Catch series. Nevertheless, many of our customers love the C-Tug. Our more DIY oriented owners have decided to modify their carts with PVC piping that fits inside the grooves of our hull to help steady the kayak on an otherwise regular cart. Consider checking out some Facebook owner groups or Googling cart ideas for Pelican Catch kayaks.

I just bought a Catch 120 last week and I'm already looking at this one for my 2nd kayak. I can use the two of them in this year for different purposes. I think they will make some amazing videos for my channel this season.

And is it very stable? People told me that they hobie compass is very stable but you pay a lot more. Any help will be much appreciated
If you've never stood up in a kayak or boat before it will take some getting used to. But if you're experienced, you will find it very stable. You can contact Capacity Sports paddlesports.capacitysports.com.au/contact to see if they offer this model or can special order it. Currently, they are our exclusive dealer.

sometime need pedal housing casette
We will definitely bring your point up to our product managers. In the meantime, we were wondering do you use the cassette when you stop pedaling and just want to stay in one area? Or are you not pedaling at all that day and only paddling?
@@PelicanSportVideos some time close casette put one more seat and paddling with company. or sometime combine motor on casette (bixpy motor or other)

Most retailers still have some 2019 models available. The 2020 model will hit stores this March. Check local Acadamy's, West Marine and your local dealers.
Should have made a catch 130 without the pedal drive.
It's a copy of the Hobby kayak, and when you hit the fin with a rock and damage it, it's going to be ££££££ most likely.
As this was the first year of production we have been VERY lenient with our Warranty program for any issues relating to the kayak. While it is disappointing to experience damage to your fin during your adventures all of our customers have been highly satisfied with our customer service. A new rod and fin currently costs US$49.99 .
