Fun fact: American Airlines did indeed operate the ATR-42 and ATR-72, just not under the modern livery and under American Eagle around 20-30 years ago.
1:40 as it turns out, they actually used to operate the dc-8 from the merger of Trans Caribbean Airways, but, they were never repainted to the AA livery, so this is what the dc-8 would have looked like if it did get repainted.
Would've been really nice if American operated the Boeing 747-400, 747-8, 757-300, Lockheed L-1011 and if they would've had a choice for an ultra higher capacity airplane, the McDonnell Douglas MD-12 super jumbo over the A380. That was just my thought. However, the A350 would've been nice and the Boom Overture is a possibility, way in the future. We just hope so!!

American did operate the lockheed l-1011
@@violetstarline8744 They never operated the L-1011, because they've already chosen the DC-10 for a wide-body three engine airplane for their fleet.
@@Dan.d649 and you know what happened after that.
Honestly American needs to replace their 777-200s with A350-1000s now
which is very unlikely
Some of these are real
AA had/has the 747, 757, 767, 787, MD-11, Q-400, 777, 767ER, ATR72,
My beloved❤
