It will make it take longer to charge your phone, since the animation uses battery power. And the phone will get warmer while charging. Better to just leave it alone and let it charge with the least amount of things going on simultaneously.

The XR and 11 have IPS panels, so they shouls be good. Only the X, XS, 11 Pro and the whole 12 series have OLED panels, so if you have any of those, we suggest you don't use such apps.
Using any 3d animated charging screen drains the battery faster since it uses battery and battery life well even die quicker if you do use it so I would recommend not to do it if you don't want to brick your phone in the future

Please don’t do this if you have iPhone 10 or later. This will over time leave a permanent mark on your screen because of how OLED displays work.
