@@marlenemorales9443TeePublic and yes really easy! I shared my designs through Facebook and Pinterest. I used mock-ups from Place it on my Pinterest page.
Thank you so much Greg! I’m new to all this and have very little experience using a computer. I’ve been watching tutorials for 2 months and was so frustrated because I wasn’t understanding all the steps needed for POD. Thankfully I came across your tutorials yesterday and because of your teachings I’m ready to start my POD T-shirt business. And I’m also ready to make a Word Search book. I really can’t thank you enough. I’m looking forward to watching all your videos! 😊
You're such a great support for the start of our journey in the PoD business. All the info you share is invaluable and saves so much time and hustle 👌 A big thank you Greg from me and my girls 🙏
I just found you today. Yes you do go fast, I can stop and go back as I need for my notes, but your content is very valuable. Thanks for taking the time to be detailed and informative.
Welcome to the channel, and thank you for taking the time to comment. I always try to keep all the fluff out of the videos so you’re definitely right they move very quickly. Blessing and a curse! If you ever run into any questions though just let me know 👍
Great information. You should cover how insane it is to actually get accepted. If you don't get accepted you can NEVER reapply. Maybe make a video on how to actually apply the to not get denied.
Thanks! I'll see if I can put together a new video with the best application tips, but here's the one I made previously and it all still holds true today: ruclips.net/video/sKP0AOVbiq8/видео.html The only main changes are that they've become more selective than years ago, a lot of it has to do with timing of application unfortunately, and that you can reapply as many times as needed by using a different email address (I've spoken to a lot of people now who have been accepted on their 2nd/3rd/7th/etc try applying with a different email address). Once you're in, you're in, and it's well worth it to spend the effort on the front end 👍
@@GregGottfried I was denied for the second time on Amazon using a different email each time. All the information entered (bank account, ss#, etc) are all the same so don't they flag you as being the same person re-applying? How long do you recommend waiting between applications? Thank you!
Main thing people need to know about is that YOU have to pay for the order first out of your own bank account or credit card and then later you will get the money put back plus profit. If you don’t have the money upfront, you don’t get to sell POD anything.
Thanks for brining this up. That’s actually only for some print on demand websites. Others have the customer pay for the full order upfront, then we just get a split of the profit. More on which sites use which model here: ruclips.net/video/CNTEJZGqwIM/видео.html
When downloading designs can you store them on google so that your icloud storage doesn't get full on your phone! What other places besides google would you recommend for storage for large lists of designs other than icloud!!? Thanks Greg
Excellent question! Google Drive is my go-to actually. They charge $9.99/mo for 2TB of storage. I've never come close to filling it, but it's nice to have a ton of storage. They even start at 15GB for free, and only $2.99/mo for 100GB I believe. It's actually a really good deal in my opinion. Just as a side note, I've done actual physical hard drives before and it's too much of a hassle and inconvenience compared to just being able to upload directly to Google Drive.
I just signed up for the free trial and used your code for Merch informer (thanks!) but it looks like they have updated their site and the keyword finder part now has 2 columns and it’s confusing. Can you do an updated video on how to beat use it please?
Here is the answer from Greg i found in another comment: "Hey no worries! Yes, you can use the Google competition scores because it translates over to Amazon very well. Since Merch Informer changed the layout of that feature I just made a video showing the other way I get the same info as before. I'm still processing the video"
Hi Greg. After watching a video of yours about 1 month ago I opened my Tee Public shop. I've been working on it for a month but I'm still in the "apprentice stage" and they don't answer emails in that stage. Their F/Q's say that they randomly recheck accounts for upgrades and to not contact them about it and that's all. In this apprentice stage my store isn't visible for site searches!( I can share my live link but that's all and that's not passive, lol) I've made my site look professional, I have a banner, a store name and a bio. I've created designs the way you suggested and even have made my own. I'm using chat GPT and Place It and Merch Informer. Also I've created albums to serve as my categories, and I make sure that on my store front my Tee's are still in an organized manner. I'm trying to let Tee Pubic know that I'm serious. HELP!! How do I get out of Tee Public jail, lol?
Hey no worries! I'll see if I can put together a designated video on this but it's just because it's a brand new account. Essentially, they label every brand new account as "Apprentice" but it automatically changes to "Artisan" once you upload enough designs and they see you're not a bot spamming the platform. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam.
Thank you so much. I feel better about it now. I only have 24 designs up now because I remember you said to upload kind of slow. I'm up to 2 a day usually. Thanks again!!
Thank you. Well on teepublic, there is account category section. Artisan account and apperentse account. Can you make a video on it? Any impact of account category on teepublic seller?
Hey thank you and no worries! It's just because it's a brand new account. They have a label called "Apprentice" for all brand new accounts, and it automatically changes to "Artisan" once you upload enough designs. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam.
Hey Greg. You have mentioned before to create 10-40 designs per niche, what would be a better strategy, staying at the lower end 10-20 getting through more sub niches or the higher end 30-40? Thanks for the help.
Great question Patrick, and hope you're doing well! It's going to come down to the specific sub niche because some of them have so many good slogans and design templates that you're going to end up wanting to make every bit of the 30-40. Others many be super small but still a good niche, so getting to just 10 may still be a challenge. I think you'll get the feel for it the more you start going into. I know that's not a direct solution, but I hope that's helpful to break it down a bit more.
Thanks! As far as earnings, over a long stretch of time it averages out to about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for all the sites). Hope that makes sense, 100 shirts posted on 3 different sites for example is about $300/mo total (or $100/mo from each site). Every time you make a sale, you'll get between $2-$10 profit depending on how big the margin is set on that product. Teepublic sets the prices for you, but all the other sites let you set your own prices and profit margin. The $1 I'm talking about is to give you an average on overall accounts earnings per month. You may have 100 designs live, but only make 20 sales that month. Not every design will sell every month. So if we are averaging between $2-10 per sale (and we got 20 per month) that averages $100 profit that month. With 100 designs, that comes out to about $1 per active design on the account. So for $10,000 per month, that's about 3,333 designs total (uploaded to all 3 sites). It sounds like a big number at the start, but once you start cranking out designs, you can get to 50 designs per day pretty quickly. As for how many designs in each sub niche, I aim for 20-40 before moving on to the next. I hope that helps!
Hi Greg, I tried the keywords finder but the competition column is not shown. So I need to check one by one click ("i")nformation symbol to see the competition. Is that any set up to get the same in video result of keyword finder?
Hey great question. They just changed this recently and now the “i” icon is the new way. It gives more accurate info but I agree it was nice being able to see the green low labels. Maybe they will start showing the completion score next to each one that would be really cool (in green for A and red for F)
Hey Greg, love your videos and this is a niche I want to do more in so thanks! My issue is that when I design a shirt and upload it to teepublic, when I search it doesn't come up in the results? Any idea why?
Hey thank you and no worries! It's just because it's a brand new account. They have a label called Apprentice, and it automatically changes to Artisan once you upload enough designs. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam
Thanks for posting another great, and informative video Greg. I do have a hypothetical question though...... Your t-shirt example had a date on it (1970), but I'm curious if there's an easy way to allow that date to be customizable? So, then that way it could potentially broaden sales. Thanks again Greg
I understand that Greg mentioned that "one" can create the same design, but with a multitude of different years. However, I know there's a way to set it up (can't remember if it were Amazon or a different POD platform) a way to customize certain things to order...such as a specific year, name, etc.
Fabulous video! Thank you, Greg. Do the recommended sites show email addresses? I don't really want my personal information disclosed. Also, how do I trademark a phrase I'm using on a T-shirt?
Thank you, Great content as always, no fillers. As a new seller, how many designs should i upload in each platforms to get a decent amount of sale every month?
In UK Amazon has restrictions as to the number of designs you can upload. It starts at 10 and there is no information as to how you move to the next tier which is 15 designs. This is so frustrating
Hi, Firstly, I want to say many thanks for such an informative Video. A lot of people are on You tube and other media, trying to make money or by putting out trainings that really don't say much. This and your earlier Video has been super informative, as I am really new to 'Print on Demand'. I have designs online just struggling to get people to buy, please can advise how you market your material. Many Thanks, CK
Hi Greg! Thank you so much for such a nice step by step tutorial on POD! I wanna ask a question. Can we run paid ads for our t-shirts to bring sales quickly ? if yes, tell me te process please!
I am excited! I have watched so many of your videos and I think I am ready but have a question. How many hours per day, weekly, monthly is optimal to put into the business creating new POD designs, uploading and downloading to optimize earnings and keep things moving?
I have a question what if you use The tools to determine whether your font or your graphic or your phrase is not trademarked so you go ahead and start using it but after some time has passed someone else trademarks the font the graphic or some other element that was previously on trademarked and you don't know this will my designs be flagged and removed from Print on demand the website
👍Great info Greg! Are you using Zazzle? Gonna keep applying to MBA to get accepted. I've been referencing your previous MBA tutorial. In the application, do we use our name or the name of the POD store? Any advice? Also, its so frustrating seeing so many designs being copied. Thanks for all you do and share.🙏
how many listings should you have before you see any form of income and also do you need to set up pay pal or bank account straight away or can you set that up later once you have more sales?
How total designs and number of platforms using those designs is required to reach the $10,000 a month goal? I know this will differ depending on the situation and design decisions, but I just wondered if you had a rule of thumb we could follow to gage progress.
Great question! As far as earnings, over a long stretch of time it averages out to about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for all the sites). approximately (rough estimate) t-shirts would you need to list on these 3 sites to make $10K per month? Said another way, on average what can we expect to be paid per month per shirt listed?

I have a question! Can you please please reply me. I'm so confused! Like.. Do we have to choose only 1 nich for 1 POD account? Or we can work on any nich anytime??? I'm beginer please help me to know
No worries! You can upload designs in any niche and you don't have to stay specific to any single niche. The strategy shown is for finding the opportunities within niches, and then creating several designs in each one of those before moving onto the next niche.
Hi Greg. Thanks for det video. Do you change the price on your amazon shirts? What price do you recommend? Also how many designs do you need to upload to reach the goal of 10000 dollars a month? Do you think it is possible to reach this goal without doing ads in 2024?
Thanks! Alright a bit of a long answer but here it goes: Once you're accepted to Amazon, put your best 10 shirt designs up first. Set the pricing to just a dollar or two above cost to entice the sales early on. Once you start tiering up, bump the pricing up another couple dollars to between $17-$20 as the sweet spot. As far as earnings, over a long stretch of time it averages out to about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for all the sites). Hope that makes sense, 100 shirts posted on 3 different sites for example is about $300/mo total (or $100/mo from each site). It sounds like a big number at the start, but once you start cranking out designs, you can get to 50 designs per day pretty quickly. Lastly, you definitely do not need ads to get to this amount of profit in 2024. I hope that helps!
Thank you Greg for the information/tutorial. Super helpful! One question, if you already have a seller account on Amazon do you still have to apply to sell print on demand?
Great. In all your videos that I viewed today, the same site/help are mentioned. What if I don't have the funds to pay for that? Searching for niches, etc?
No worries! They are super time savers but you can use Google as a free alternative. Google Trends can give you some good ideas for shirts for free. And there are some free designing apps too. Typorama is the one I used several years ago and it was free and got the job done 👍
The most ideal size is 4500x5400 300dpi. I use 72dpi, and usually about 4000x4000 depending on the template I used. It's pretty flexible and on most sites you can scale the design to fit exactly where you'd like it on the shirt.
Great information! I did want to know if publishing several niches would hurt your sales or do you typically stick to one niche like just camping shirts?
I am eager to jump onto print on demand however I'm worried on the copyright infringement issues and have been doing thorough research to avoid any possible infringement however if there is an infringement, what is the penalty on this? Will my store just be shut down or are there any fees involved? Thank you so much!
Greg, I have been watching your videos for a week or so. One problem I am having is that I am unable to access the discount codes. The message I get is there is no discount code like that. How could I access the discounts?
Hey sorry about that! For Merch Informer try Greg20 or greg20 hopefully that works! For Placeit, the code is built into the link but you’ll need to not have an existing account for the code to work 👍
I started my TeePublic account but was classified apprentice. How do I get sales? Do I need to bring my own traffic by using ads? Or social media posts? How to people see my designs otherwise? So frustrating.
Hey Heather, I'll talk about this in more detail in this weeks coming video but it's just because it's a brand new account. Essentially, they label every new account as "Apprentice" but it automatically changes to "Artisan" once you upload enough designs and they see you're not a bot spamming the platform. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam.
@greggottfried with regards to amazon merch, does payoneer work for countries which are not listed within the "bank" drop down list during account creation?
Hi- Sorry I don't think my last post went through... I'm trying to use your links below, specifically for Merch Informer first to sign up, but it doesn't seem to link with a discount. Do I have to manually type this elsewhere? Its asking form my card details already so I am afraid I missed my change to enter your affiliate code. Thanks so much for helping!
Nice! You don’t need a business entity at all to get started. POD is treated more like freelancing so you just add the profits to your normal income as other income at the end of the year 👍
You can reapply as many times as you’d like with different email addresses. I’ve spoken to a lot of people now who have gotten accepted on the second or third try just by using a different email address.
Hi greg, merch informer looks like a great tool but I'm trying to start, and I haven't got any money to start off so I can't pay for the subscription. Do you have any other tools I could use for free? The main feature I'm looking for is how much competition there is.
Hey great question. I’ve used a few other research tools that are free (like kwfinder and google trends/keyword planner) but the issue for us is they are using Google search data rather than print on demand specific data. So they’re not accurate for print on demand. My best advice is to use the 3 day free trial of merch informer and get a big list of niches during those 3 days 👍
@@Keboodleß Placeit is the best in my experience because they are 100% copyright free. Canva is not all copyright free so not good for print on demand. Kittl is another good option but not as beginner friendly. Hope that helps!
Fantastic strategy for leveraging AI and keyword research to excel in the print-on-demand market! 🌟 Focusing on low competition niches can indeed be a game-changer, allowing for targeted marketing and better visibility in crowded marketplaces.
Hey Greg, great vid! Do you recommend trying out several niches and sticking with the one that hits, focusing from the start, or remaining broad? Thanks!
Thanks for the insight. Can you tell us what printing process they use or is there a choice? I prefer screen printing over all others. The last tshirts the wife ordered me from Amazon the print wore off in a matter of months normal wash n wear. Other silk screen shorts are still going strong after years. Quality would be high priority under the business name. Thanks again.
I've got you covered! Any of the niches will work so they can all be treated equally. The key is putting them into merch informer to find all the sub niches. I chose woodworking just to use a good example, but you can go through the entire list, and then search for 50 more to have unlimited opportunities. Another good tip is you can switch hobbies to occupations or locations or many other things, and then use all of those results in merch informer to find low competition sub niches. I hope that helps clarify!
after I click the download of my design, and click download again, the Save to file pop-up doesnt appear. also on a previous tutorial you said that we could click on the top of the design to rename it. I cannot see how to do this either. When you get to the saving the file part, I cant clearly see how to do this.
Thanks for asking! I don't use social media anymore because the sites do a good job with organic traffic (I think the time is better spent designing and uploading) but I still have a video showing how I used to do it! Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/DvWFwKSEByw/видео.html

Hmm... Once you have a paid plan the watermarks should disappear instantly, even on the editor before downloading. I'd try logging out and back in again. I hope that sorts it out!
Thank you for all your very helpful videos! I have a query though and what do you do to get approved with amazon merch by demand? I have been declined and not sure why.

How accurate can the copyright and trademark infringement tool in the software be? What database are they using for that and how updated is it? Seems risky.
Thanks great video and explaining this into detail i have question do you ever use ai fo creating images such as midjourney for print on demand i see alot of people online doing this just curious as a business owner yourself on this what your thoughts are on this matter thanks
hi, greg. do you also copyright or trademark your designs so others who upload similar designs later would not have the possibility of claiming those designs as theirs, and cause you legal trouble down the road?
I’m about to start a print on demand shop on Etsy and I have done 10 designs for t-shirts. Should I upload all 10 designs on day one or upload like 3 per day
In a previous video, you mentioned that if you upload too many designs too quickly, an account can be flagged. Would this likely happen if I made a shirt with years and upload multiple different shirts in the same day? TIA
Also can you tell me the difference between affiliate marketing and digital marketing? They make them both look so easy but I'm pretty sure I've bought both programs and got half way through and it is not as easy as they say and a little expensive having to buy other things to make it work. Any advice would be appreciated. I am loving your videos. Also is there something that is easy and can produce money right away? I don't mind putting in the hard work but I need something that will give me real money like in a week. All these things I'm working on takes so long to actually get results. Sometimes no results at all after months of work! Sorry I am going on. Again thank you for any advice you can give me. Have a wonderful day.

Excellent! Thank you for the informative video. Waiting for more.
Thanks Greg, looking for a bigger niche and customizing it to your smaller niche is s great tip, hadn't thought of that!
No problem! Definitely a helpful little trick 👍
@@GregGottfried thanks I’ll check it out 🙏
When downloading designs can you store them on google so that your icloud storage doesn't get full on your phone!
Hello?😢
@@GregGottfried okay, thank you for this clarification
You've got me thinking I can do this! Thank you for the valuable info😊
You can do it! I'm here if you run into any questions!
@@GregGottfried I appreciate you so much!

great videos greg how many designs should we create a day and how many designs in each merch informer niche should we create to hit 10k a month
Hello Greg...when uploading a design, is it a good idea to offer 2 options... the design on the front of a tee or on the back of the tee?
Great question. I’ve seen the best results from front only designs. I hope that’s helpful 👍
That active vs passive video alone deserves a comment
I appreciate that 🙌
Hey Greg, love your videos and this is a niche I want to do more in so thanks! My issue is that when I design a shirt and upload it to teepublic, when I search it doesn't come up in the results? Any idea why?

Thanks for posting another great, and informative video Greg.
I do have a hypothetical question though......
Your t-shirt example had a date on it (1970), but I'm curious if there's an easy way to allow that date to be customizable? So, then that way it could potentially broaden sales.
Thanks again Greg
I think this specific issue was well addressed in the video.
Great info! Thank yoy

In UK Amazon has restrictions as to the number of designs you can upload. It starts at 10 and there is no information as to how you move to the next tier which is 15 designs. This is so frustrating

Hello Greg!
My merch informer doesn't have the competition column. Is that not included in the basic monthly subscription?
how many listings should you have before you see any form of income and also do you need to set up pay pal or bank account straight away or can you set that up later once you have more sales?
How total designs and number of platforms using those designs is required to reach the $10,000 a month goal? I know this will differ depending on the situation and design decisions, but I just wondered if you had a rule of thumb we could follow to gage progress.
Great question! As far as earnings, over a long stretch of time it averages out to about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for all the sites). approximately (rough estimate) t-shirts would you need to list on these 3 sites to make $10K per month? Said another way, on average what can we expect to be paid per month per shirt listed?

No worries! You can upload designs in any niche and you don't have to stay specific to any single niche. The strategy shown is for finding the opportunities within niches, and then creating several designs in each one of those before moving onto the next niche.
Does tee public work in the UK?
@GregGottfried of that $10,000 you make a month, What percentege comes from Amazon Merch on Demand??
Thank you Greg for the information/tutorial. Super helpful! One question, if you already have a seller account on Amazon do you still have to apply to sell print on demand?
Thank you! I wish you could use the same account, but you do have to create a separate account in their merch on demand department.
Hi. Does WISE transfer works for payment as well?
I don’t believe so, but you can use PayPal, Payoneer, or direct deposit to your bank 👍
Fantastic video as always. I live in Vietnam, can I use the 3 websites you mention?
Yes you can!
Hey Thank you very much for all the information. What is the size of the picture that should be on the shirt?
The most ideal size is 4500x5400 300dpi. I use 72dpi, and usually about 4000x4000 depending on the template I used. It's pretty flexible and on most sites you can scale the design to fit exactly where you'd like it on the shirt.
@@GregGottfriedis it enough 72 dpi for good quality print? If it’s not logo, if it’s picture or so?
Great information! I did want to know if publishing several niches would hurt your sales or do you typically stick to one niche like just camping shirts?
I am eager to jump onto print on demand however I'm worried on the copyright infringement issues and have been doing thorough research to avoid any possible infringement however if there is an infringement, what is the penalty on this? Will my store just be shut down or are there any fees involved? Thank you so much!
Greg, I have been watching your videos for a week or so. One problem I am having is that I am unable to access the discount codes. The message I get is there is no discount code like that. How could I access the discounts?

Hi again, well informed video. How many designs needed to be upload and what is the frequency to upload? Thanks again
@greggottfried with regards to amazon merch, does payoneer work for countries which are not listed within the "bank" drop down list during account creation?

On T-public you don't set the price? Do they print one shirt or do you need a min number of shirts to sell before they will print them?

Hey great question. I’ve used a few other research tools that are free (like kwfinder and google trends/keyword planner) but the issue for us is they are using Google search data rather than print on demand specific data. So they’re not accurate for print on demand. My best advice is to use the 3 day free trial of merch informer and get a big list of niches during those 3 days 👍

Why did you chose woodworking? How about other niches?
Any of the niches will work so they can all be treated equally. The key is putting them into merch informer to find all the sub niches. I chose woodworking just to use a good example, but you can go through the entire list, and then search for 50 more to have unlimited opportunities. Another good tip is you can switch hobbies to occupations or locations or many other things, and then use all of those results in merch informer to find low competition sub niches. I hope that helps clarify!

hi, greg. do you also copyright or trademark your designs so others who upload similar designs later would not have the possibility of claiming those designs as theirs, and cause you legal trouble down the road?
Curious to know the answer as well.
