God damn it, why I see this channel just now? This is golden. Unreal engine community desperately needs people like you man. All we have are extremely boring tutorials which are waaay longer than they should have been. Subscribed and I hope you keep creating content like this.
All the other tutorials would teach me 0:01-10:00 - Installing Blender 10:00-25:00 - Creating first shape 25:00-40:00 - Installing Unreal Engine 4 40:00-1:30:00 - Installing Plugin 1:30:00-1:59:00 - Everything this tutorial did 2:42:30-3:32:12 - Deleting the softwares 4:33:31-6:31:21 - Closing your PC 10:04:24-13:39:40 - Closing your monitor 34:12:21-55:32:12 - Getting up out of your chair
The water system is currently linked to the landscape system; you have to have a landscape in your scene to add the water. That said, you can 'cheat' by making the landscape really tiny and hiding it away somewhere
Unfortunately, water currently relies on the landscape system. You could add a landscape and make it really small to hide it away, but the water won't deform your custom mesh like it does with the landscape.
Thats a really compact, well made tutorial. Maybe you could help me as I don't know if its a bug or mistake by me. I got a landscape, ocean around it and a river going through a crack inside it . When I try to build my scene, it says that the river cant be rendered, since no landscape is assigned to it, but I'm pretty sure it is, since the landscape deforms as i move the river around...
I've run into that error before. Deleting the water body and adding it again usually fixes it for me. The plugin is still experimental, so sometimes things can be inconsistent
@@AmberScottProd thanks, I did exactly that just now and wanted to tell you that it worked now. Btw I already subscribed since I like your content. Keep up the good work, I hope it gets rewarded soon!
1:56 I touch on this briefly. You can replace the materials with your own, or do something similar to what I do with the waves - copy the existing water material, apply your new one to your water bodies, and edit the parameters inside.
Hi, tell me a tutorial on texturing large objects, such as high-rise buildings in a residential area. To make the base texture non-repeating, it was supplemented with random cracks, traces of water stains with rust, traces of material burnout, graffiti and other elements that add realism.
heh, wrote a response and realized it was a different video than i thought! Yeah this water system is still in beta and really isn't cut out for insane landscape sizes
@@AmberScottProd I gathered that after playing with if for a while. I did manage to get it pretty big, but it hit the graphics card like a train. So I'm opting for more conventional oceans.. lol
I've learned so much in those 3 minutes comparing to those 10/30minutes tutorials on RUclips.
Thank you.
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful.
i love when 🌊water🌊

How can I add damn water with a bottom, but without islands and land ?!
The water system is currently linked to the landscape system; you have to have a landscape in your scene to add the water. That said, you can 'cheat' by making the landscape really tiny and hiding it away somewhere
Wow i never ever would know this if i just didnt watch this video :D ty man
Ryan, can i show u my game tomorow, i mean its not full game, not close to complete but if u have some time, its more like project😁
i actually came for the tutorial that makes water in a nutshell
So nice :D Thanks !!!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :D
@@AmberScottProd Was really fun and helpful 🐙😀
Is it possible to add this water on not landscape? Only on my custom static mesh?
Unfortunately, water currently relies on the landscape system. You could add a landscape and make it really small to hide it away, but the water won't deform your custom mesh like it does with the landscape.
@@AmberScottProd Thank you Ryan! 8) cheers
How do I get the water to be in just one small bowl like your thumbnail? :( It doesn't work with landscape. Someone helppp
Getting some Ian Hubert vibes from this lol

How do we customize the look of the water like the color of it,etc?
1:56 I touch on this briefly. You can replace the materials with your own, or do something similar to what I do with the waves - copy the existing water material, apply your new one to your water bodies, and edit the parameters inside.
@@AmberScottProd Ok thanks I thought there was some tint settings we could change like in most water materials so I kept looking but found nothing.
cool tutorial, but how can I now create water in Nutshell? xD
unrated!!!!!!
Channeling
Ian Hubert I see.
Ian is great, and my style is def inspired by him. CGMatter and Royal Skies LLC also go great, really fast tutorials.

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually need to do something like this for one of my projects, so I might share what I come up with :)
I want to see this done with a 8196 landscape.

I expected water in a nutshell
only for the thumbnail 😉
Very cool. I'd sub a second time if I could.
hahahaha this was amazing
It's a 3 minute video that has chapters 🤣🤣🤣
anything i can do to save people some time :)
