The reason for why ppl still love the Evo 9 is because of the engine and transmission.
The Evo 9 is the last Evo to use the 4G63 engine which was used from the first Evo all the way to 9. The most common trim are GSR and MR trims and the MR is considered to be one of the final trim. and there is the FQ series which has the power boosted to 360 to 400 bhp from factory.
Many hated the Evo 10 as it only comes in 5 speed manual or the 6 speed dual clutch SST. Purist still prefer the 6 speed manual found in the Evo 8 and 9.
And there was another version based on the Evo 9 which is known as the Evo Wagon which is a space wagon version of the Evo 9 which has the same 4G63 and 5 speed auto gearbox. It was you can say a replecement of the Airtrek Turbo.
I'm not a purist but I'd rather go for the CT9W and swap in a much stronger 5spd manual box instead.
An Evo like that is really a dream to own and drive with

I have both a civic I built and not finished and a evo X and I love them both EVO is my all time favorite car I wanted the 9 and didn't want the 10 but when I saw it something came over me and I had to have it :-)

7:24 I am totally agreed with the statement! I have been driving a 2015 Lancer GTE for almost 2 years. I never think about cup holder and other stupid accessories while cruising.

depending if the evo 9 is modified. Saw one 800hp evo 9 in singapore at a evo car meet in Sengkang. Not sure if the evo is LTA friendly but no one cares cause is an EVO. Currently car on sale for 98k
