Yeah, but the government uses public education as a tool to brainwash the masses into mindless submission to authority, and since corporations have private ownership of the government, public schools are really just factories for cranking out obedient workers who don't have the mental capacity to think outside of the box they're given. It could be a good way to ensure that voters are well-educated and logically capable of interpreting information, but nope. Gotta make sure that kids have literally no passion to learn whatsoever. Gotta make them feel like slaves with no control over their own purpose, because that's what it means to be a good citizen in the United Corporations of America. Kids are taught *what* to think, not *how* to think. They are unironically set up from an early age to rely on the government and the corporate media to tell them what's okay to support and/or which candidates are the most pragmatically "electable." It's a self-perpetuating system dependent on the cyclical ignorance of the entire population. It's a conspiracy against democracy. This is how Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton became the nominees for a two-party system. But, we'll see if anything ever gets done about it. It's like that by design.

@linus meth tips The reason I agree with it is that I'm personally ahead in subjects such as math, science, and english, so going through a bunch of things school that I've already learned on my own is just a big waste of time for me. There are also a lot of brilliant students who get low grades just because they learn slower and can't keep up. I've been there too. I, and probably every single student, would learn a lot better if our classes were based on our personal skill level instead rather than our age and we would learn in the way we do best, but how can we achieve this? The answer is easy. Personal digital teachers. Between 6th and 8th grade before I changed school, I studied german. It went well at first but my grades quickly dropped because I couldn't keep up, and I later quit. Because I was overwhelmed in the environment of my old school, was bullied daily, and I later got diagnosed with autism and ADHD, I had to change school. During the holiday in between, I started using Duolingo and started watching Easy German on RUclips. After that I started to learn a lot more and quicker than I had ever done in school. I had made myself a personal digital teacher. When I started in the new school I needed to go to a normal german lesson again (the special school was part of a larger ordinary school), and I was soon overwhelmed because it reminded me too much of my old school. After that I completely switched to only learning digitally, and my skills and mental health have only improved. By giving every student a personal digital teacher they could learn at their own pace, in their own exact skill level, in their own way. They could watch videos, read an endless library of books, take quizzes, solve puzzles, chat with real people from all around the globe, etc. And thanks to algorithms, a personal digital teacher would learn to know a student much better than a human teacher ever could (This would also be great for people like me who learn best when not in presence of another person). It could even make human teachers almost completely obsolete, because only students who actually need human teachers would have human teachers. And all of this is possible thanks to the internet, the library of all human knowledge, and it honestly baffles me how we haven't started using this in our school system, because already every single person with access to the internet have their own personal digital teacher. When you're curious about something, you most likely look it up on the internet thanks to how quick and easy it is, and if you're like me, you watch a lot of educational videos on RUclips. I've learned so much more from watching educational videos than I've ever learned in school, something many other students would probably relate to. With all of the progress you in Finland have already done to your education system, you could easily get through this important reform that would bring the best out of every student. We have the technology to do it, there is nothing that is stopping us. We simply have to make our governments listen.
