I agree with all positive comments thus far, although it’s my humble opinion that £150,000 or so all-in is a lot to pay for what is essentially a trailer-sailor. I think half of this total would have been more on the mark. Okay, trailer-sailors save on marina costs, but in reality, a 26’ boat whatever the type is still too large to store at home and thus will incur yard fees at least. A large 4x4 required to tow is out of reach of most trailer-sailors and this would have been a more successful venture if it had been possible with a standard saloon vehicle. Additionally, most drivers wouldn’t be comfortable towing a large load around most roads/car parks in the U.K. In conclusion, a very attractive vessel but a little impractical as a true trailer-sailor. At the inflated asking price, I suspect that most prospective owners would be looking at thirty something footers with a traditional keel set up without having to ‘mess’ with ballast and setting up of rig to say nothing of launching/towing. That said, if you’re looking for a traditional type of vessel without the hassle of maintenance, she should fit the bill quite nicely, and at twenty or so thousand less, is a little more on the button, although in essence, it’s still an expensive trailer sailor. The privateer 20 is just as good for a fraction of this price. Its a beautiful boat but anyone would have to be out of their mind to spend that much lol

$10,000 a foot is common today. Move up too luxury sailboats and the price goes up too $20,000 per foot. This price is reasonable for the quality of build. It would work well for me trailering between Sarasota and Duxbury. It can sit on the flats. A very nice pocket cruiser that is easy too stow at the end of the season👍
All the boats, in order to make them easier to tour, have had their keels removed so they sit flat and low. However we viewers are not just newbie looky loos, we are experienced sailors with a keen interest in learning about new models. Do us a favor and point your cam at the drawing that shows the boat in profile so we can see the Keel. In order to make an informed decision about wanting or not wanting a boat the keel plays an absolutely critical role. It's like showing off a new Corvette and showing the upholstery and cool dashboard without describing the suspension. Show us the whole thing.

We sailed it from the Seattle, Washington (U.S.A.) area to southern Mexico, a total of 33000 nautical miles in all (over the 6 years). Is the keel on this boat made out of platinum?

just exactly what does that carbon mast do for us that aluminum could not do at lower cost? How is the speed and comfort? How does open stern protect the cockpit from flooding? how much drinking water do you store? how do you stay cool when it’s very hot?
The carbon mast adds to righting moment because of less weight aloft, carbon masts are not just about saving weight overall. Cockpits do not flood because of open transoms, and water that comes over the rails will drain out more quickly than with scuppers.

No comparison. I crewed a Mac 28 - they would suit someone who wants a power boat that has a mast. It was fast under engine but ghastly as a sailing boat. The Swallow has been designed by someone who knows how to sail and what is required of a sailing boat.
This is a joke, I have a Bristol Channel Cutter only 2 foot longer and it weighs 14000, lbs with a 10'4" beam a true world cruiser, with a 38" overall length it has the sail area of a 38' sailboat
Your comparing apples to oranges. The BCC can’t be trailered. I currently have a boat in Chicago, to have it transported by semi to Florida for the winter would cost between $7500 to $10000 each way. The BCC is a fantastic boat, but it would cost even more to transport. I’m strongly considering this for my next boat, summers in the Great Lakes, winters in Florida.

It's 2023 and manufacturers are pushing garbage at insanely high prices for crazy profit margins! No standing headroom and a claustrophobic interior...for a 26ft yacht!? Too many uneccesary moving parts and cheap materials to quickly wear out. Some value of a sailboat is in comfort, more in versatility and most in low maintenance. I'd say this one fails in all three.
Nice boat, old ideas and a ridiculous price. I had a 26ft trapper that sailed like a dream and cost me £4000. It also had much more room below and had a usable cooking area. This boat is nonsense at this price.

Campare cost with a new com-pac 27...which is a bear to trail & launch, and isn't legal to tow most places--but is billed as such.

No comparison. The Swallow is far better built than a Macgregor. Just the oak woodwork and carbon mast set it apart already.

Catalina had a sliding galley in the 70s I have a 22 footer sitting on a trailer ready for spring sailing.
