Tips:
Double door weapons so AP snipers, lasers and cannons can't kill them.
Press U while hovering over a device or weapon to upgrade it.
The hotkeys for materials, devices, tech, weapons and ammo are z, x, c, v, and b. Press those buttons multiple times to scroll through them. This should massively increase how quickly you can build.
Build new mines or turbines (or smokestacks or props) before upgrading them, it's more efficient.
Pay more attention to your commander, Overdrive, Architect and Warthog are very good all-rounders. Use the abilities when you need them.
Cover your doors with background bracing so your enemies can't see when you open them.
Build machine gunners for AA, they're cheaper than flak and fire a lot faster. Flak is still very good against lots of missiles, but gunners are generally more efficient and don't explode.
Make boxes the size of whatever you're going to put inside them, you should be mostly made of 2x2 (grid space) boxes, cannons, howis, lasers etc require around 2.5 tall, turbines and flak need about 3 tall.
Don't use 20mm cannons, they're not great. They're strong with the active of the Scattershot commander, and make good accel ammo, but otherwise cannons are far better.
If you firebeam an area and then hit that spot with a plasma laser, it cuts through far better.
Always prioritize tech first, then economy. Get weapons as soon as tech and money allows, and defend only around when weapons are coming online, or if you see what they're making and defend accordingly.
These tips should help.
The double door doesn’t always work with some splash ie cannons if the doors are too close together

also, double doors always protects against a cannon, there might be a tiny bit of splash that gets through, but it's not enough to actually do anything

7:51 yes blitz we have learned from RCE that architect are always the ones to blame as engineers are there to build what the architects made so if something isnt going to work right blame it on the architects

Also, fun fact: to those who had the really old square computers in the 90's, knew about this game... I hope. It was called King's Quest. In one of the quests, you had to help an animal hanging upside down, and it was called the Dangling Participle.

21:49 it was actually the second cannon round that caused the chain reaction. It looked like it missed but it just barely clipped the corner to cause the explosion.

I'm pretty sure there's a timer running where intern isn't allowed to rebuild anything for certain periods of time. Cause the second half of this fight his base is all busted up but there's no rebuild.

Dear blitz, when you have a weapon group selected, aim and shoot with rightclick instead of the usual leftclick. That way you will only fire one, but still have the group selected. Hope this helps 😀

When you guys are using howitzers shotguns actually work better to stop them. You just manually aim and fire it.

I think it'd be epic if you could choose the location of your reactor before the game started so your opponent would actually have to look for it
Could you make a video on astroneer when trains come out please? The devs confirmed its coming out in July and it look like something you could fool around with. The trains can transport items across the planet or they can be a roller coaster for players
