Quickly you are becoming one of my favorite authors, you haven't dethroned Pierce Brown yet, but if the quality of your work persists, you definitely will. Loved Ashes of Man, can't wait for the next one my dude.
Unreal man... I got hooked on this series literally in the first 50 pages when I saw you quoted Peterson thesis from Maps of Meaning, I had no doubt I would love this and it is now my favorite series of all time. Hadrians journey through hell in this book is so brilliant. I dont have words I had to sit with this for a couple days before I started ashes of man. Thanks for everything you and keep doing what your doing.
Keep up the great work! I have been binging the series and can’t wait for the final book. I love your portrayal of the Cielcin and aliens in this book as fundamentally different from humans. It is a breath of fresh air from other series which make aliens out to be almost the same as us besides appearance and customs! Were you inspired by any other books when designing the Cielcin?
By other books, not so much. Mostly I have just always been angry at the Star Wars/Star Trek approach to aliens and wanted to do the thing my way!
(By the way, book 5 isn't the last book anymore. It was supposed to be, but the 4th book got split in two, so there's at least 1 more!)
@@SunEaterBooks Good to hear! It will be interesting to see where Hadrian goes to actually get a sun destroying super weapon. Have you ever read the three body problem by any chance? This books themes kind of remind me of that series.

@@SunEaterBooks I would definitely recommend it. It was originally written in Chinese so the translation is a bit wonky but it’s the best existential crisis that I have ever had!
I forgot how many things go so terribly wrong for hadrian and co in this book. It’s like a blue page mutated to form a whole blue book. It’s great! I really like that kind of thing, especially when it’s serving a larger purpose in a huge story, because it gives some serious variation to the series. Very good book can’t wait to start book 5

Hey Christopher, just got to say your books have blown me away as a long time sci-fi reader. My mom raised me on Heinlein, Herbert, and Asimov in the 90s. Where do i get Ashes of Man as an audiobook? Specifically in Denmark as it seems it might be region dependent.
Hi Sebastian, If it's the English-language audio, it has been discontinued. My UK-based English publisher opted to cease licensing the US recording. I am hoping to get the US publisher's license extended to World English, but for the time being, your best bet is to use a VPN to spoof your location to access the US edition. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

It took me like a month of checking the web once an hour during the day trying to snag one. My persistence paid off as it now sits glowing on the book shelf. Don’t give up, they’re out there!!! And I’m sure they will be reprinted in the near future, but if you’re like me you want that first edition of the first book. Good Luck!
