Can you put the seafoam into the gas tank if you just got an oil change or should you wait?
Um definitely wait
You can add to the gas tank anytime. Don’t put it in the engine oil until you’re almost at your oil change interval.
WHY WAIT, TANK IS GREAT, DOES MORE THAN A HALF CAN IN OIL.
I’m getting an oil change today can I add some of this to my oil after the oil change? I already added a can to my gas tank & my car is running so much better already! Now I want to add some to my oil but I’m not sure if I can add it right after I get my oil change
Yes, can add to fresh oil.
If just using in Fuel should it still be done within a couple hundred miles before oil change ?
You can add to fuel any time. Best to add when tank is low to increase cleaning concentration.
So my tank is full and I just got an oil change. I get the impression that I should wait until my tank is low, add at least one bottle, drive for a while and then add gas, correct? Should I wait until I'm close to needing another oil change before adding 1/2 of a bottle to the oil tank? Thanks!
Great questions - yes for both.
Can i put this on my engine during new oil change? Like it will run for the whole 5000km oil change interval cycle
Yes, can add when the oil is new.
When putting in gas tank you said drive 20 miles then add more fuel? Can I add on a full tank of gas? Or should it be at a certain level?
Can add to a full tank. Just note that adding to less gas creates a greater cleaning concentration.
Am going to try this
Can I use this on every fill up
Is it ok to add to your crankcase if your oil level is currently showing as full? Don't want to overfill if it will be a problem. Thanks
Yes, plenty of room.
Whats the difference between the High Mileage and The standard Seafoam? Would it be a good idea to use this product with a vehicle that has 265,000 miles that's never had a Seafoam treatment before?
Always helps to use it. HM is tougher on stubborn residues/buildup.
@@SeaFoamOfficial Ok, the only thing that concerns me is that I have significant buildup and big deposits will break off and clogged up passage ways. Is that something I have to worry about?
@@saulgoodman9193 Oil deposits are oil residues that are no longer fluid. Sea Foam liquefies the deposits back into fluid.
@@SeaFoamOfficial Copy that, thanks dawg!
So for the fuel I just add when my tank is empty and then fill it up and just drive it or what’s the proper way ?
Add when low, drive about 20 miles, then add fuel.
@@SeaFoamOfficial do you add the whole can and does the truck have to be on or off
@@santinn7004 Whole can and does not matter if the vehicle is running.
@@SeaFoamOfficial I have a 91 Cadillac Fleetwood brougham with 78,800 MI is it safe to use high mileage seafoam in it and how often should I use seafoam
@@r-luvbham6608Yes, always safe for any engine! Watch the video - add half a can to the oil every interval, add a whole can to the tank every couple months. Best to add to fuel when tank is low to create a higher cleaning concentration. Hope this helps!
Never have it but I will now 👍👍
Should I add it to my oil before every oil change? How soon before an oil change should I add it. About 300 miles before?
Yes, your idea to add 300 miles before every oil change is ideal!
Hi! After I put this in my oil tank can I add regular oil? And if so, how soon after? Thank you!
good stuff buddy.. hey this guy has some Adam Levine going. lol....cheers
Does this work on a civic with 200k+ miles on it?
Yes it will.
I just changed my oil. Any knows if I can still use it on fresh oil? I have a bmw 328i
Yes, can add anytime during the oil interval.
I did. 1 oz per quart
@@SeaFoamOfficial what are the repurcussions? do i change it earlier or?
@@amc7615 Just leave it in just like any oil change interval. No repercussions.
"looks like an ad"
.........but it is! 😁
Jokes aside, i like the product.
what kind of effects good and hopefully none bad will i see if i started using this is my 2009 5.3 silverado w 150k miles on it?
Cleaning fuel and oil systems is never a bad thing!
My 2004 chevrolet cavalier has 180,892 miles on it and the check engine light came on saying misfire with a fuel injector. The autozone guy recommend this stuff. My car is throttling. I wonder how long it'll take to help. I have no way of knowing how much gas I have in the tank because the cluster doesn't work. I'm assuming I have half a tank based off memory of last fill, so I put one whole can in and am saving the second can for later.🤞
Hi Nicole. I think the AZ guy was right to recommend as a "last chance" before having the code evaluated by a mechanic. Hope it works out for you!
ALSO USE IN MY TRACTOR, 👍
Are you supposed to leave the car on when adding it to the gas tank?
There is no reason to have the car running when adding to fuel, though it will do its work through the fuel system and upper engine while driving. Hope this helps!
I used for the 1st time seafoam high mile can and my engine light is now off but my diagnostics said it Wes my air injection system does seafoam help with that? Next question I put seafoam reg in my crank case before a oil change and they said I had 2 quarts over which I don't understand does the seafoam break down sludge and add to what's in the engine ? Thanks
Thanks for the question. 1) No, there is no relationship to air injection, which occurs on the exhaust at start up. 2) Two quarts of oil is a lot! You'd have to start with a ton of sludge for that to happen. Seems you were just over-filled. Hope this helps!
@@SeaFoamOfficial Thank you
I hope my engine light goes off when I sue it for the first time🙏🏻
Is your engine light still off...Kenyatta Dod?
@@coolwater411 Let us know how it goes.
Can it be pour just into the gas tank?
Yes, can do!
Does the engine have to e hot? Do I pour the sea foam high mileage where i pour the oil ?
No, does not need to be hot. Instructions on can suggest adding 100 to 300 miles before each oil change.
Is the amount supposed to be per gallon capacity of the vehicle? It seems like you just added over 20 ounces to a few gallons fuel. The can says 1 to 2 ounces per gallon.
Great question! For cleaning, can shows "use 2 or more ounces per gallon", so you can could go with 50 ounce per gallon if you wanted. I like to add a can or two when the tank is low, drive at least 20 miles before adding fuel.
How fast should I change my oil after I use the sea foam?
Go as you would a typical oil change interval/whenever ready to change oil.
Can I use seafoam after filling up tank, and in oil after oil change (oil around 3,000 miles before 7,500 miles oil change)?
Yes, but better to add when tank is low to max the higher cleaning concentration. Yes, adding half way through the oil interval works great!
Hi. Could i only add it in my oil and fuel cap only without the trottle?
Pls rephrase your question.
@@SeaFoamOfficial I see you added the seaform in 3 areas. If i only added it in where i put gas in and the where the oil change go only will that be good to do? I'm sorry not great at cars
Yes, that works. Thanks for the new question!
Appreciate!
What's the difference between regular Seafoam and high mileage one? Will regular seafoam cause any issues to an old car with over 400.000km on it?
Both are similar but High Mileage does a bit better with stubborn engine and oil deposits. Both are made form 100% petroleum cleaning and lubricating oils and ALWAYS safe to use.
Caused cylinder one & four misfire after using, should I be concerned?
You added it to gasoline and it caused a misfire?
Can I add it after a oil change ?
Yes, can add any time.
Hello good folks at sea foam, unfortunately I found myself behind the wheel of a 5.3 chevy with AFM that has the notorious oil consumption issue, when added to the crankcase will your product help with that?
Add half a can each interval and see what happens.
I was unaware that you can add some to the actually oil. Then the tank. So i should take my can back i got regular seafom for trucks and suv. But i do have higher mileage.
I have a 1964 FIAT 1100 station wagon with low mileage but with original parts, ok to use?
Yes, for sure!
What's the difference between the high mileage blend and the regular one?
HM is tougher on stubborn residues. You will like it!
What is the difference between high mileage and the regular one though?
Similar, but HM is tougher on stubborn residues and deposits.
So put some sea foam down into the oil and dump a bunch into the gas tank. I’ll try it in my 06 dodge Dakota with 240000 miles on it. It’s burning oil right now.
Hi Corey: Yes, you got it + keep adding half a can to oil each interval.
Sounds good. I’ll try anything to keep the truck running good. It still has to make it through hunting season
@@coreystoner4129 It will help! Happy hunting Corey!

LOVE DODGE, BUT NOT DAKOTA!! USE SEA FOAM TO GET IT BETTER THAN TRADE IT OFF FOR A REAL TRUCK LIKE DODGE 5.9 4X4 OR GMC 8.1 496, SO YOU PAY A LITTLE MORE IN GAS MILEAGE, BUT OH WHAT A DIFFERENCE TO BE PROUD OF. 👍🇺🇲⛽💯❤️
Since my truck have the engine light on and burning oil and I just got an oil change can I start out putting in 1/2 can of Seafoam high mileage motor treatment to get it started?Than after that I can start adding 1/2 can of Seafoam high mileage 500 miles and do my next oil change?
yes
Sea Foam Official what is BEST wait to 300 or 100 miles than pour in 1/2 can of Seafoam high mileage motor treatment to 6 quarts of motor oil than do an oil change?
@@coolwater411 100 to 300 miles BEFORE you change the oil, so toward the end of the interval.
Sea Foam Official...I’m hoping(🙏🏻) that using Seafoam high mileage motor treatment I will get as much mileage as possible out of my 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche 5.3 liters V8 engine!
Will this help with a slight shakey idle
Try it! It's a low-cost way to diagnose an issue.
Hey 👋..why are u using a can and a half for your fuel tank?
Only because I started with 2 cans and half a can went into the oil crankcase.
Is it safe to use on a 2016 Chevy Tahoe with 175k miles?
always
Is high mileage better then the original sea foam? Any test result?
Great question! Most things need something different as they get older. Sea Foam and High Mileage are very similar, but High Mileage is blended to do more for an engine as it becomes more vulnerable to deposit buildup and heavier oil residues.
So this will definitely work on my 2011 Chevy Impala, with 119+ miles ?
Yes, it will help clean any gas fuel or oil system. Let us know if you're experiencing a specific problem or just looking to keep things in order.
How often do you put it in gas tank
Every couple months to a low tank works great!
My Hyundai only has 289,000 miles on it, does it qualify as high milage yet!
You're on your way!
Just used it in my 2.0Eco-boost had 130 on it randomly stalls every once in a while.
Are you showing any misfire codes? You might have a fouled plug issue.
@@SeaFoamOfficial I am not having any codes at all. Seems to be working better after using sea foam.
What if I put it in when my gas tank is full?
That's fine but the less fuel, the greater the cleaning concentration. Hope this helps!
Sea Foam Official less fuel like half tank of gas?
Have u use it yet Chevy819 HI?
@@coolwater411 I add when the tank is low, 1/8th or so.
@@coolwater411 Not personally.
hi how much should i pour into a vr6 2.8 AAA motor also i have a 55 litre gas tank
Add a whole bottle to a low tank of fuel.
Can i just add one full can to the gas tank? 2006 Dodge Magnum with 228,000 miles
yes, can do.
Got a 2012 Camry with 200k on it. Is it as easy as half the bottle in the oil filler and the other half in a half tank of gas?
Yes, that's a great way to start the routine.
I have a camry also, 98. How has it worked?
So umm… anytime I try to pour stuff like that into my 2017 chevy silverado without a long neck funnel, it would just spill out onto the ground.
Seafoam high mileage work for diesel motor? Or only gas?
It's formulated for gas engines. Can add to diesel motor oil.
How about Ford f150 2010 is it just the same ,no just got it a few months ago and has 130 000 miles , should I do that before every oil change just like the way you were showing in the video ?
Yes, just like the video. Easy!
