  • In this video I review one of the latest products from DiscoveryOpt. The MS 3 - 9 x 40 SFP rifle scope. This has been deisigned for those on a budget, but without any short-cuts. The glass and reticle are very clear, and gives great clarity for those who are looking for a first scope, or hunting scope that will get the job done. The reticle is one of the best reticles for this price range and gives the user the ability to use the whole view of the scope to target the full display of the reticle from top to bottom, meaning it is ideal for long range shots for air gunners who need to give high hold over. The reticles are numbers in even numbers to 12 mildots, and the posts of the verticle and horizontal are also calibrated to used as hold over and windage points to the edges of the scope. The MS stands for "Magnum Shock Series", designed for magnum spring air rifles, giving you the confidence that the scope will not break on you. The rifle has a fast focus ocular adjustment to focus to your eye, a viewing window for the zoom number, and a positive zoom adjustment. The turrets come with dust covers, and the turrets are finger adjustable with positive clicks at 1 click MOA = 1/4 inches at 100 yards. The front lens has a flip up cover, and the rear a rubber cap. The scope also comes with ring mounts, which can be chosen at the point of order on the website.
All in all, one of the best budget scopes on the market, this year.

That's interesting. I just bought a Discoveryopt HT 6-24X40mm for my PCP. Really nice scope. Was wishing they made scopes that would hold up to springers.

As I've said before, nothing wrong with Discovery scopes, even at the bottom end of the range I guess they are way more then just " usable" got 3 discoveries at 3 different price points, all are great scopes in there own right.. The glass and clarity is superb..

Should do a mini series on springer shooting..show your improvement. As u do it hard to master springers...

Yes. When I started 40 years ago, that's all we had. I had a Relum break barrel and Relum Tornado underlever. Although scopes were around, they were nothing like we have today. I used open sights for a while, before progressing to scopes. I was good with them, then, as you get the feel for your springer over time, and was hitting a sixpence with open sights at 20 yards. I have been thinking about getting an underlever, or multi shot springer to do a series on.

You shouldn't have a problem ordering one. They deliver World wide. A few members at our club have Diana 48s and get through scopes.
