I actually thought the opposite when first hearing this, it seemed like to me that the heart and mind are trying to use each others native tounge to get the other to understand their point and thoughts, however they still are to focused on their demands to actually get the hint
I like to imagine this takes place before the real mind electric, and that it's the internal conflict that he experiences on his way to the courtroom. Eventually, soul gains control of both his heart and his mind, so he pleads insanity to satiate both of them, and it ended up being the worst possible decision he could have made.
"I won't hesitate to kill my heart and mind. I'll take you down in tandem, when this rope is tied." Death kills the physical brain and heart, but the soul will always remain. The soul seeks freedom, even if the cost is life.
I don't think Soul is actually what we'd consider a 'soul', I think he's just the psyche's self-image and sense of identity (similarly, Heart is the emotional side of the psyche rather than the physical organ), but I love this reading of that line. It's so interesting to consider whether Soul thinks he'll survive the death of the body. He's clearly very detached from Heart and Mind, it wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't fully processed that his existence would end with theirs.
I love how it sounds there are three characters, The Heart, The Brain and The Soul, Brain and Heart try and convince Soul to listen to one of them until they finally snap and gain control over the both of them as a result

We know this because the heart says "See how the mind tricks the soul", and The Soul Eclectic is about the soul telling both halves that they are both at fault, and references them as one body "See how the brain plays around", and the person themself, or the "brain" is splitting "what was once whole down into three".

Anyways, I just want to tell you that the angel and devil on souls shoulder thing seems like a crazy theory and I think you might me onto something. There are four main charecters (Heart, Mind, Soul, Whole) but others are shown sometimes throughout the album. Maybe the angel and devil are responsible for some more voices throughout... Btw soul and whole aren't the same charecter, soul is a shell of what whole used to be.

The Soul is really just the creation. The true existence of one's being. The Heart and Brain playing as essential "Supports". But like a King with a Very Manipulative Courtier, they try to get the upperhand and be on top. They try to get the side of the SOUL on their side. The Heart using Empathy while the Brain uses Logicality The Soul finally had enough and question upon both of them. The heart who uses emotions as an answer yet is blinded by such while the Brain who uses Logic as the answer yet his pride shows stupidity underneath all that "absolute logic".
I think it's more like a emperor and two other kings/queens. The line "tridential regicide" refers to the act of killing a king/queen or a emperor as well as the "tridential" part which sugests that unlike heart and mind he see's it as three rulers, two who try to get him to defy/attack the other and the third who has the most power being sick of the two who see eachother as enemies when they are both partners who need eachother and also because he has more power but is useless without the other two and needs them to stay stable.

9:23 I like to think of the "serfs" as the rest of the physical body. Its like he's showing the heart and the mind what servants should be like. @galemannenman Basically, Heart and Mind, the first two characters, are fighting over who will influence the body and rule the brain. Soul, the third singer, is in charge and wants the two to either synchronize and merge, so they can be whole again, or all die, so they can be at peace.
So from what I can understand, this song is about someone's heart and mind fighting for control, or just to be heard. And it goes on and on until the person (soul i think) snaps and most likely takes their own life, to make the fighting stop. At least that's what I got from that last line about tying the rope.
there is a whole album revolving around this story. "Chonnys Charming Chaos Compendium". basically something happened so Chonnies (a fourth individual, the body) brain split in three (my guess is that Chonny tried suicide, but failed). the heart and mind need to become one, so that chonny doesnt get more suicidal. both heart and mind think that the other side isnt important and should be ignored. sould controls the body and mind and heart fight over who should control soul. at the end of this song the soul threatens final suicide to make heart and mind finally work together, which works as in the next song, the bidding, both finally match their rhymes for the first time and soul gets confidant and lets the suicide idea go. in a later song, the whole world and you, mind says that all of this was a test for heart to push the whole to be what they truly can be
Something I noticed several replays through: *(The Heart Acoustic)* - Heart has a human voice, well, more human than the others, and expresses more emotion, as they are the "emotional side" - Heart also seems to be very agitated, twitching and itching their shoulder before the final lines where they "stare" blindly into the camera before glitching and swapping to Mind. I think this is Soul trying to take them over and control them, as seen in The Soul Eclectic when both Mind and Heart become "backup singers" for Soul. Additionally, we can also see a second, fainter figure over Heart through the entirety of the song. Similarly, he's "begging for it to stop", indicating they're in pain both mentally and physically, referring to "rotting" and "death" quite a few times. - Heart's signature colour is a magenta pink/purple, representing the love and heartbreak Heart experiences due to Mind and Soul's combined abuse, as they're both absolutely more powerful than Heart and can easily batter him down into giving up (as seen in the final lines of The Heart Acoustic) - The backup singing lines Heart has with Mind in The Soul Eclectic, they both criticize Soul, and I think this could be taken one of two ways: → Soul is puppeteering both Mind and Heart to criticize Soul and push them both deeper into punishment → Mind and Heart are trying to break free of Soul's strings, Mind being more successful as his voice is quieter and fainter than Heart's, indicating he's breaking free of Soul's control. - Heart uses a lot of mathematics in The Heart Acoustic, which you would expect Mind to do, but I think it's symbolic that Heart may be the most logical and feeling of the trio, as their voice in the beginning is quiet and breaking, indicating they may have been crying behind their blind eyes, before becoming more agitated and angry. *(The Mind Electric)* - Mind has a deep, robotic voice, the complete opposite of Heart, symbolic of his "logical" nature, and how their "logic is absolute", showing how they're a cold, calculating machine, insulting Heart any chance they get. They even describe (through Heart's perception, no less) that Heart sees them as a "cynical machine", and similarly, Heart describes them as an "automaton freak" before The Mind Electric begins. - In The Mind Electric, when Mind is describing how Heart "plays profound", we can hear Soul in the background saying "see how he lies", perhaps indicating that Soul is making Mind say all these horrible things about Heart, as typically, a soul and a mind are more connected than a heart would be. - Both Mind and Heart refer to light in the beginning of their respective songs, referring to "glares", perhaps insinuating that Soul is watching and judging their every move, glaring at them. - Mind's signature colour is a medium, sea blue, which is typically the colour associated with mathematics in education, again referring to Mind's "logical" nature. - Mind refers to Heart as being scared, referring to how "fear still resounds" within them perhaps trying to break free from Soul's puppeteering. - Mind never moves during their song, maybe Soul has complete control, or maybe Soul has no control over them *(The Soul Eclectic)* - Soul is clearly insane, as described by Heart (Soul himself puppeteering) calling him a "madman" and even Soul themself saying that they doesn't mind what people call them, maybe even "insane", and they couldn't care if people use their real name (which is never stated), later even saying "I AM ME" to cement it. - Later, when they're talking to the "doctor", Soul says they cant tell if they're not themself, contradicting their earlier statement. - When Mind and Heart are backup singers, Soul forces them to work together, which is their biggest pet peeve. - At the end of The Mind Eclectic, Soul's guitar is blue, indicating they may have full control over Mind, but we don't see any indication of Heart's magenta. This has two connotations: → Something sinister, insinuating Soul absorbed Heart finally. → Something much less horrifying, that Heart finally broke free of Soul's strings. - Soul's voice is a blend of human and robot, indicating that they are a logical, feeling creature that's neither Mind nor Heart respectively. - Soul says that "one has split into three", indicating Heart and Mind are no longer part of them, as Soul is the ultimate being.

Gonna just sneak this in since this is half a year old and I don't think anyone except MAYBE the artist could read this. I always felt so sad for the anguish here, taking me back into a place I left a looong time ago with my family abuse. But now I feel.. so much closer to this. In the past month, I've gotten a triple-hernia in my neck along with early-age rheumatoid arthritis that's eating my spine, my mother who is the only reason I'm alive and got me out of that abusive place discovered two cancer-like tumors that are metastasizing at an insane rate, and yet everyone around us are draining every dollar they can before we both die what will assuredly be a painful death. My heart begs to give up and for mercy and love and peace and warmth, my mind screams for strength and logic and to shut it all out just to survive long enough to march through, and my soul just doesn't see the point of it all, walking the razor's edge between living and dead and begging to just stop thinking OR feeling, to just numb the pain and lobotomize myself. I won't do anything, if the artist does read this and worry, I'm no idiot and know I must carry on and will one day feel right again. I just wanted to say... I feel seen, is all. Thank you for giving me strength in these trying times.

One thing I've noticed about both the Heart and Mind, in their parts, they have a quiet voice imitating or controlling them. You can hear it the most in Mind's, "... his pity parties simply harm..." ( 4:58 ) probably because there's barely any music, and the Heart's "see how it hurts..." (especially on the emphasis of the "ts" of hurts 2:35 ) I think this is because Soul, or maybe even the Whole, (though Soul is the more likely culprit) is puppeteering Heart and Mind, and has the most control when they are either dissing one another, or throwing a pity party for themselves, though that doesn't make much sense as Soul is probably the one that most wants to be Whole again, so idk, it's just a theory. I have this thought The whole song is dedicated to a man who in the "electro mind" goes to court and then dies in the electric chair, right? I don't think Soul is actually what we'd consider a 'soul', I think he's just the psyche's self-image and sense of identity (similarly, Heart is the emotional side of the psyche rather than the physical organ), but I love this reading of that line. It's so interesting to consider whether Soul thinks he'll survive the death of the body. He's clearly very detached from Heart and Mind, it wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't fully processed that his existence would end with theirs.

@galemannenman it's part of Chonny's covers album. It's an album of the conflict between the three, and how it affects Chonny. This and The Bidding are the peak of the proverbial conflict.
@galemannenman Basically, Heart and Mind, the first two characters, are fighting over who will influence the body and rule the brain.
Soul, the third singer, is in charge and wants the two to either synchronize and merge, so they can be whole again, or all die, so they can be at peace.

So from what I can understand, this song is about someone's heart and mind fighting for control, or just to be heard. And it goes on and on until the person (soul i think) snaps and most likely takes their own life, to make the fighting stop. At least that's what I got from that last line about tying the rope.
Pretty much. As far as I can tell, the heart and mind are going back and forth and it ruins the person as a whole
there is a whole album revolving around this story. "Chonnys Charming Chaos Compendium". basically something happened so Chonnies (a fourth individual, the body) brain split in three (my guess is that Chonny tried suicide, but failed). the heart and mind need to become one, so that chonny doesnt get more suicidal. both heart and mind think that the other side isnt important and should be ignored. sould controls the body and mind and heart fight over who should control soul. at the end of this song the soul threatens final suicide to make heart and mind finally work together, which works as in the next song, the bidding, both finally match their rhymes for the first time and soul gets confidant and lets the suicide idea go. in a later song, the whole world and you, mind says that all of this was a test for heart to push the whole to be what they truly can be
Something I noticed several replays through:
*(The Heart Acoustic)*
- Heart has a human voice, well, more human than the others, and expresses more emotion, as they are the "emotional side"
- Heart also seems to be very agitated, twitching and itching their shoulder before the final lines where they "stare" blindly into the camera before glitching and swapping to Mind. I think this is Soul trying to take them over and control them, as seen in The Soul Eclectic when both Mind and Heart become "backup singers" for Soul. Additionally, we can also see a second, fainter figure over Heart through the entirety of the song. Similarly, he's "begging for it to stop", indicating they're in pain both mentally and physically, referring to "rotting" and "death" quite a few times.
- Heart's signature colour is a magenta pink/purple, representing the love and heartbreak Heart experiences due to Mind and Soul's combined abuse, as they're both absolutely more powerful than Heart and can easily batter him down into giving up (as seen in the final lines of The Heart Acoustic)
- The backup singing lines Heart has with Mind in The Soul Eclectic, they both criticize Soul, and I think this could be taken one of two ways:
→ Soul is puppeteering both Mind and Heart to criticize Soul and push them both deeper into punishment
→ Mind and Heart are trying to break free of Soul's strings, Mind being more successful as his voice is quieter and fainter than Heart's, indicating he's breaking free of Soul's control.
- Heart uses a lot of mathematics in The Heart Acoustic, which you would expect Mind to do, but I think it's symbolic that Heart may be the most logical and feeling of the trio, as their voice in the beginning is quiet and breaking, indicating they may have been crying behind their blind eyes, before becoming more agitated and angry.
*(The Mind Electric)*
- Mind has a deep, robotic voice, the complete opposite of Heart, symbolic of his "logical" nature, and how their "logic is absolute", showing how they're a cold, calculating machine, insulting Heart any chance they get. They even describe (through Heart's perception, no less) that Heart sees them as a "cynical machine", and similarly, Heart describes them as an "automaton freak" before The Mind Electric begins.
- In The Mind Electric, when Mind is describing how Heart "plays profound", we can hear Soul in the background saying "see how he lies", perhaps indicating that Soul is making Mind say all these horrible things about Heart, as typically, a soul and a mind are more connected than a heart would be.
- Both Mind and Heart refer to light in the beginning of their respective songs, referring to "glares", perhaps insinuating that Soul is watching and judging their every move, glaring at them.
- Mind's signature colour is a medium, sea blue, which is typically the colour associated with mathematics in education, again referring to Mind's "logical" nature.
- Mind refers to Heart as being scared, referring to how "fear still resounds" within them perhaps trying to break free from Soul's puppeteering.
- Mind never moves during their song, maybe Soul has complete control, or maybe Soul has no control over them
*(The Soul Eclectic)*
- Soul is clearly insane, as described by Heart (Soul himself puppeteering) calling him a "madman" and even Soul themself saying that they doesn't mind what people call them, maybe even "insane", and they couldn't care if people use their real name (which is never stated), later even saying "I AM ME" to cement it.
- Later, when they're talking to the "doctor", Soul says they cant tell if they're not themself, contradicting their earlier statement.
- When Mind and Heart are backup singers, Soul forces them to work together, which is their biggest pet peeve.
- At the end of The Mind Eclectic, Soul's guitar is blue, indicating they may have full control over Mind, but we don't see any indication of Heart's magenta. This has two connotations:
→ Something sinister, insinuating Soul absorbed Heart finally.
→ Something much less horrifying, that Heart finally broke free of Soul's strings.
- Soul's voice is a blend of human and robot, indicating that they are a logical, feeling creature that's neither Mind nor Heart respectively.
- Soul says that "one has split into three", indicating Heart and Mind are no longer part of them, as Soul is the ultimate being.

Gonna just sneak this in since this is half a year old and I don't think anyone except MAYBE the artist could read this.
I always felt so sad for the anguish here, taking me back into a place I left a looong time ago with my family abuse. But now I feel.. so much closer to this. In the past month, I've gotten a triple-hernia in my neck along with early-age rheumatoid arthritis that's eating my spine, my mother who is the only reason I'm alive and got me out of that abusive place discovered two cancer-like tumors that are metastasizing at an insane rate, and yet everyone around us are draining every dollar they can before we both die what will assuredly be a painful death.
My heart begs to give up and for mercy and love and peace and warmth, my mind screams for strength and logic and to shut it all out just to survive long enough to march through, and my soul just doesn't see the point of it all, walking the razor's edge between living and dead and begging to just stop thinking OR feeling, to just numb the pain and lobotomize myself.
I won't do anything, if the artist does read this and worry, I'm no idiot and know I must carry on and will one day feel right again. I just wanted to say... I feel seen, is all. Thank you for giving me strength in these trying times.

One thing I've noticed about both the Heart and Mind, in their parts, they have a quiet voice imitating or controlling them. You can hear it the most in Mind's, "... his pity parties simply harm..." ( 4:58 ) probably because there's barely any music, and the Heart's "see how it hurts..." (especially on the emphasis of the "ts" of hurts 2:35 ) I think this is because Soul, or maybe even the Whole, (though Soul is the more likely culprit) is puppeteering Heart and Mind, and has the most control when they are either dissing one another, or throwing a pity party for themselves, though that doesn't make much sense as Soul is probably the one that most wants to be Whole again, so idk, it's just a theory.

You know, everyone here talks about the original discord between the mind, heart and soul, but....
I have this thought
The whole song is dedicated to a man who in the "electro mind" goes to court and then dies in the electric chair, right? I am bad at English or rather, my English is not so good that I fully understand the whole meaning of the song without problems and that's why I ask
But here, I will go from this thought
If you look at the part of the soul and see the lines where the Soul is not sure of its unity (divided into 3) and is it he (I can't say if I am me)
What, as for me, shows that after the event that now leads the man to court, the Soul Heart and Mind split and stopped working as a whole mechanism. And it is because of this that we see how they fight for control.
But at the same time, they not only can't work with each other again, they can't work AS THEY SHOULD
And only the Soul, which suffered the least, was able to take control because of this, but as we see in court, this was not a way out. A person broken inside will not be able to protect himself in any way and will only be a madman, who in the eyes of others will deserve his end
But what do I mean by NOT working correctly?
The heart - it gives off too much logic and is unstable
For me, logic is actually connected with emotions. Even the most impartial decisions are still supported by the convictions of a person or society, convictions that are built from fact AND EMOTIONS. Therefore, it would not be so strange that the Heart is somehow connected with logic, but the logic of the heart is too strongly, in my opinion, SEPARATE from emotions
At the same time, the heart is in incredible sadness and anger (probably because of what he did), at the beginning of the video this is visible in how he breathes angrily and moves his hands all over his body
This is the anger of despair and hatred, as for me, the heart is perfectly aware of their situation and not only reproaches the Soul and Mind for their stupidity, but also tries to make them understand that they will not cope here (after all, let's be honest, like a defendant in a jury trial, you must appeal to people's emotions, not their logic)
But the Heart was not heard and it fell silent, obviously just to allow karma to destroy this disconnected organism
The Mind, despite its robotic nature and all its "logic", has an INCREDIBLE and in many ways stupid contempt for the Heart, as well as some kind of attraction to the Soul (clearly a sign that the decision was made by both of them, which led to the incident)
For the mind, it is impossible to be passionate in the usual sense, it should not actually fight with either side, but explain their situation and the worst and best that will happen to them, but for some reason the heart did it
And the accusation from the Heart to the mind can show that it was the mind that corrupted them all.
This means that the mind was damaged, which made the Soul crazy
Well, that's my point of view
and damn I want to add that I like that in the end only the voice of the Heart is heard, not the voice of the Mind

I like how in their end they turn to their other half, realising hat good they may do, but the lingering malice is still there, ending up in pure neutrality seeing their flaws, the order is also shown in the order that the organ shut down with the brain shutting down roughly 5 minutes after the heart stops beating, and with the cold calculations of the mind shut, the soul shows its true colours choosing the eliminates it's lesser thirds to end the torment of the conflict

How they fit the Singer
The hearts instrumental is very Theatrical and Dramatic, fitting with hearts emotion driven argument
The Minds instrumental is very oppressive and constructed, even intimidating, almost sounding like the musical version of an argument or verbal onslaught
While the Souls instrumental feels chaotic and all over the place, fitting wuth him being over of mind and hearts bullshit, with the OG TME in the background too adds to the Chaos
