    I think the gachibowli-airport will be implemented in the future but not in priority as of now. As of now it's best to connect airport via falaknuma route as it can used by majority of city people, less construction cost and connects railway station, MG Bus station and airport in one go.
    Earlier raidurgam to airport metro was just a bogus project with inflated costs just to increase real estate prices around gachibowli, nanakramguda and ORR surroundings and to be a cash cow to KCR family as it was completely undertaken by TS govt.

      @@kr4864 But it's not about the charminar, falaknuma Or old city population. This metro route easily connects majority of the city with the airport along with the major railway and bus terminals of the city easing the connectivity. And that's how metros are designed in all other major cities in India and across the world.
      If you think that people from central, north and east hyd don't use airport at all, then I'm really sorry for my statement.
      And coming to IT corridor people, they currently have the best traffic free connectivity to airport along the ORR, and they can reach airport comfortably. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be done, but it should be the second priority and we should connect airport from both sides.

    Take taxes from financial district, Gachibowli businesses and build metro on the other side. Take highest taxes from Hyderabad and distribute freebies in rural districts. This works for short term until business owners, investors don’t notice. In the long term, the cash cow runs out of cash due to disproportionate allocation of funds, then whole state suffers

      Damn this is so stupid. 25+ years back there was no financial district or Gachibowli. It did not come out of thin air. It is built using taxes from the other side of Hyderabad. You are acting like these places are separate states. About time the rest (read actual) Hyderabad is developed as well. Too much of lopsided development at the moment.

    Ive been warning middle class people not to invest in pharma city since a year , repeatedly said it's a bogus project and not economical , feeling sorry for those who have invested 12k , 15k , 18k/yard at such long distance in pharma city , congress clearly declined the pharma city project and about to construct a township 😂 instead .... Township in that area without pharma city is like selling sand in desert ... Why township 25km away from ORR ??? Is there any employment??? Why will people buy and stay there ???

    i feel it's a good route as the population would make good use of it unlike the existing proposed route. Remember, Hyd needs all round development without being lopsided which is the situation now & also quite saturated, if i may add. The proposed IT Tower of 30 storeys in Malakpet is also likely to come up shortly.

    Hitech City to the airport is a very crucial metro line. How the IT resources commute on the daily basis. You connect it from the old city but connecting from hitech City was more important.

      That's the good route I believe , there's no horizontal route across South Hyderabad , with 1. Foxconn , 2.vijaywada highway boom like Congress said about rachakonda , and with 3. IT zone in adibatla , 4. shamshabad airport , 5. Tukkuguda , 6.world trade center ... There must be a horizontal metro route across from peddaamberpet to lb nagar to santoshnagar to chandrayanguyta to mehdipatnam

      @@VikranthKumarRealEstate Acutally in the same news, CM asked another survey, Nagole to Gandipet along Musi River (my guess, they may extend/connect future Neopolis line). That would provide connectivity to Airport through MGBS station. These new lines would connect to lot of existing population in the city. Hitec City to Airport would be in the future once the population grows along the route.

      How so? To me it makes sense to run the metro through populated areas and making it more viable than through artificially inflated but sparsely populated gated communities upcoming on the ORR (which were surely going to be providing huge kickbacks to the previous government).

      @@Manishi-e4p of course, they shouldn't cancel it, but the other metro corridors like BHEL Lakdikapul, MGBS-Faluknama caters to more population and would serve in the best interest of the city and its traffic congestion.
      I for one am for the airport metro, it is needed, no doubt - but it is not an absolute need of the hour (there's ORR and totally zero traffic congestion). If there was no ORR, and had the airport been at a location like Begumpet, and traffic is a nightmare, then the airport metro becomes the top priority. Thankfully, that's not the case.
      But the manner in which the previous government was expediting just the airport metro first, while the demand and supply equations among all corridors indicate otherwise, speaks volumes (read vested interests in real estate).
      There is also a question of financial viability (i.e. passenger footfall), and initial project costs. The proposed Faluknama-Airport stretch costs much less than the Gachibowli-Airport stretch, don't you think? Not only that, the passenger demand is much, much higher in that route - so better returns on investments, and more importantly the public interests are served in a much better way (by alleviating bigger pain points first).

    Most people that use the airport frequently are the IT sector professionals. The previously proposed raidurg to airport would have served right and was perfect, it’s less populated area which would’ve cost less than the present proposed route. revanth is just imitating Tuglaq’s doings in the history. Extending the green line to falaknuma is a good thing but it’s gonna be a pain in the but to do land acquisition which was the reason it was neglected primarily. Revanth’s plans will take a long time to complete if not fail hilariously and they will not be completed in his term as CM.

    All modern city have airport connectivity from major work places including Bangalore... why politicians have narrow mind. No guarantee that even Congress decided route will come into affect n time wasting changes.its already late n delayed as other cities are coming up with long distance metros n in progress. Already Telangana have no airports in last 60 years ruled by Congress never bother to get any... infact trs trials went no use.. these politicians spoil the growth that is why our gdp is still 3.5 trillion where as China gone 10x.. shame😢

    I think its a wrong decision by the new govt to change the alignment, West Part of the city is the most happening place and if it is not connected to airport it is very bad for the reputation for the congress. It is very challenging for land acquisition on the falaknama area, The govt just wants to stall this program and invest the money in freebies.

      Bro airport metro from falaknuma is not just for old city but for all of hyderabad. Majority of hyderabad population along with bus stand and railway junctions are in eastern half.
      For IT corridor, we have 8 lane expressway to cater their needs.
