It's amazing that the Darkness can still put on an amazing show in the face of such a lacklustre, impassive audience as this one. The band deserved better seeing as this was the first show of the tour.

SO happy for this upload. I got a liiiiitle bit too drunk (I forgot I rarely drink since having a kid and kinda went a bit nuts) and some bits are hazy. This'll help me fill the gaps.
This is awesome. Thank you. How refreshing to see a whole show without the camera spinning all over the place and on different members. This is how we see a show after all. The whole stage. I missed them at BRIGHTON Dome this year. Saw them there on the last two tours. Was funny one gig when Justin spotted the girls from the Lush store. And by the way the greatest city isn’t Glasgow..it’s Brighton. 👍
They have really really grown as a live band. When they first came out their live performances were not great sounding but they really got better and now put on a badass show.
We saw the guys later that weekend at Boscombe - what a show! The video doesn't do the sound and energy justice. Massive Wagons were an extraordinary surprise and were the perfect support. Wouldn't be surprised to see them out on their own soon!
I was at the boscombe show and I thought that the sound was pretty poor especially for that venue and that band. It seemed like Dan's guitar just wasn't cutting through and overall it was pretty quiet. Bit disappointing as I worship the darkness. Wouldn't hesitate to see them again tho.
@@forestboy52 I know what you mean. I was down the front with the wife and it sounded great, though Dan's was a little on the quiet side as you say. The bass mix (bass guitar and kick drum) was crazy on Massive Wagons however, I was even wearing hearing protection and it was a bit much, and drowned out the rest of the band. They were great performers though, and like you I'd certainly love to see both bands again. Being the sound guy can't be an easy job when you have a a different venue every night, and a few thousand people to get a good mix to. Unless they were using the venue's own people, in which case there's not much excuse! :P
Great Setlist, good to see Black Shuck and Barbarian, Open Fire and a handfull of newbies in there. Shame the crowd had their feet nailed to the floor. The Barrowlands will show you how to party on the 9th!
Crowd doesn't seem to be alive. Lots of folks standing really still. Freaking rock out, get wild, let loose and let it go! Bands tend to feed off that energy.
I love England, I like this band 🤩much more energetic than in France, how lucky to see you without a mask, go to the concert , we can't. I was able to see them in 2020 in Paris just before closing. We live badly in France always mask and restriction in 2022 👎😡 (google translate)
I like watching this video from time to time to refresh the memories and the sequence of songs, it’s just a bit sad the the images are so far away that they really can’t give justice to Justin’s physical performance together with some iconic moments Dan, Rufus and Frankie help to create. I suggest the front row experience, it’s all other perspective, you’ll bring overwhelming emotions home with you. But thanks for this anyway, it’s a lovely souvenir. I wish they could make a dvd or a video of the tour.
I love this!!! But can anyonr tell me wjat that intro music is ??? I love the melody and as it played I could hum along. I heard it somewhere l9ng ago...but what is it ?? Best wishes to all for 2022 x Sander from The Netherlands
Merci pour le partage dommage c est trop loin , j adore Darkness , j ai été les voirs en 2020 a Paris. 🎸🤘( je ne sais pas quand je les verrais avec la covid 😥)
Touring during an epidemic means keeping lighting and stage equipment to a minimum. Great job considering the environment and at least they got out in a tour bus and played. 👍
The Band is great but I hate stupid white lamps (almost 50) that light up the audience and lead you to epilepsy... I will not go to see them live because of that !
It`s really good to see a band who still use dry ice to get that intimate hazy atmosphere gigs had when we could still smoke at them.
It's amazing that the Darkness can still put on an amazing show in the face of such a lacklustre, impassive audience as this one. The band deserved better seeing as this was the first show of the tour.

My all time favourite live band.
@@54spatula Such an underrated album!
Glad they're still around. Love this band.
Love, love, LOVE these guys! They are on fire! Thanks so much for sharing this, Preston. You rock!
One of the best bands in the world very underated group excellent music and good live Long live the darkness
I'm pretty impressed with the vocals..especially Justin could hit the notes in Christmas Time..really impressive stuff.
SO happy for this upload. I got a liiiiitle bit too drunk (I forgot I rarely drink since having a kid and kinda went a bit nuts) and some bits are hazy. This'll help me fill the gaps.
One of the very best live performances, loved it. I was there :-) A band people need to see live.
There's always one "I was there" comment LOL
So god damned BRILLIANT live!!!! Thank you for posting this!! :) :) Adore The Darkness!!
My goodness, voice still sounds amazing "Pride of Scotland
Take me back
Envy of the sassenach!!!" 😍
The feed from the desk is absolutely impeccable; incredible sound engineering and an awesome show!
Their live sound is so heavy and tight. I love it! Come back to Toronto!
they are in march, i think. check their site for dates.
Wow. Phenomenal live sound.
Vocals off but
Saw them for the first time live in Norwich on 23rd November. Always wanted to go. Best night ever. Awesome band. Wish I was going again.

seen them live twice incredible band

Amazing. Fucking love these guys! Funny as fuck and amazing, awesome meaty riffs!
damn, they are sounding GOOD as fuck here!
Seeing them on their Exeter date, not seen them in about 8 years, so excited!
I love the way Justin deals with hecklers. 🤣
Great Job to the person filming this!
Just sold me on buying tickets to their Nashville show come April!
Saw them when they first came to the states touring off their first album, was a killer show. Didnt know they were still around.
This is the start of this album cycle’s world tour so, they’ll be playing 20 odd dates in the USA around Q2 2022 - get yourself some tickets!
@@ksssssss Hope they come to CT. Bring this show to Mohegan Sun or the Meadows or the Civic Center. ;-)
Id love to see them outdoors rather than indoors ;-)
@@ctcards2636 it’ll be a 1000-1500 venue generally
@@ksssssss Wow. That small ? Awesome !!! Cant wait ! So glad they are touring. That show I saw in Providence RI back in the day was amazing.
Legend thank you so much. My friend and I were there also. Now I can share the experience with my kids that wanted to go. 🤟😎🤟
Love to hear the harmonies from Jussy and the boys!! Sounding better than ever.
Thanks so much, Preston. The Darkness live after covid lockdown. Great!!!!
Thank you for the upload. So excited to hear them in 2021! Hope they come to the States next year.
Don't let the bells end!!!
So freaking awesome! I get goosebumps while watching ❤️
Thanks for uploading this. Due to finances, I'm not able to see them this year. So it's good to see a full show

GROWIN On Me is just as witty as a Ray Davies tune, & riffy a la You Really Got Me
Thanks for uploading. Not all heroes wear capes
It's Love Jim slaps live, love it. Glad Open Fire is in the setlist too!
I just discoverd darkness again! And man Open Fire is such a good song, i love it!
😍😍🤩🤩💖💖💥💥💥
Just a description of my emotions.
amazing band!
sticky situation its like Whitesnake - Don't Turn Away, good song the darkness
Saw them at the Bournemouth O2 last week - fantastic!
I love the ABBA track played at the beginning of the gig. A nice touch of class there. :)
Great band - cheers for sharing
The significance of the opening piece of music and that venue are MASSIVE!
Great Setlist, good to see Black Shuck and Barbarian, Open Fire and a handfull of newbies in there. Shame the crowd had their feet nailed to the floor. The Barrowlands will show you how to party on the 9th!
At Cambridge they were dressed up in Christmas inflatable costumes for Christmas Time. I think that's where they blew the budget! 😁
Crowd doesn't seem to be alive. Lots of folks standing really still. Freaking rock out, get wild, let loose and let it go! Bands tend to feed off that energy.
Absolutely awesome! thanks for putting this up
woulds greatest fan Club all time

Thanks Preston! I was at the show too down the front. Great to capture the boys back after the lockdowns

Thanks for posting this, awesome show!!! hope to see them live next year!
Seen many times over the years and met them a few times 👌🇬🇧
To navigate the darkness of this world you must first embrace The Darkness.
Can they hurry up and come to the states..
Thanks for this. They were incredible in Exete too, set list was perfect.
I love this!!! But can anyonr tell me wjat that intro music is ??? I love the melody and as it played I could hum along. I heard it somewhere l9ng ago...but what is it ?? Best wishes to all for 2022 x Sander from The Netherlands
It’s ABBA Arrival.
Love the aspect ratio.
Thank you. Absolute quality.
Thanks for posting this! 👍🏼
The sound here is massive. The crowd is dead. Long live The Darkness!
Love these guys! Terrific video! Bravo !
Awesome. Thanks for uploading 👌

And no bullshit auto tune.
Thanks you from Tokyo!
Why are the crowd DEAD? Standing with their arms crossed like...
I want them in Chile so bad!!!!
Probably taste better in a salad. ...sorry couldn't help myself ✌
So consistently tight live.
Dan Hawkins holds that shit down. Such a great rhythm guitarist
Thank you!
Great Video!! Thank You for posting!!
Arrival! by The ABBAs!
Where they won Eurovision. That very stage!
THANKS! :-)
Есть в них что-то от ранних sparks, но больше драйва.
Crowd actually breathing? Fucking woeful
3 Gibson guys in the band. 🤟🤟
Can you imagine them at somewhere like the O2 or Wembley Arena
could do with some screens onstage so people can see details right at the back ...
The Hawkins boys flat get it..
They still come out to Abba! Haha!
Always have, always will
@@alexgreenwood404 Dan in the Thin Lizzy Tshirt too!
@@stuartwilson4705 always has, always will haha.
I love that they still honour their traditions
The stage where ABBA won with Waterloo.
Thanks for this! From all the ex-pats down under. 🐨
Sticky Situations!
My favorite band ever.
The worst lighting show ever.
The darkness rules… literally 🤘

Steady hand you have there.
what song is at 48?
That row of lights behind them is so fucking obnoxious. I hope they don’t use them when they play here on Wednesday.
They smoked an extra big bowl
Anyone know the name of the intro/walkout music?
Arrival - ABBA
You can see the real The Darkness fans are at the front!
6:10 no idea what he said...
CROWD IS DEAD AF WTF
They only play two types of music ROCK and or ROLL! !!!
Great band...the audience sucks!!!!
What a sad crowd.
Elliott - ha ha
Performance great atmosphere not so much
The Band is great but I hate stupid white lamps (almost 50) that light up the audience and lead you to epilepsy... I will not go to see them live because of that !
Are you gonna comment this on every video of them?
