My husband just left me, told me he loved me, & didn't want to be married to me anymore. I can attest, rejection feels like a death. God is hiding me in Isaiah 54. He is so good, no matter what.
Rejection more painful than death-- in at least the worst cases this can certainly be true. I would much rather lose a beloved spouse to death, as hard as this would be, than be rejected by the one I had pledged my life to. Of course, rejection by God is infinitely worse than any human rejection, and I have at least been very worried about this with some of my experiences too, and the awful feeling of that eclipsed the misery of being rejected by my wife of 20 years.
I don't agree rejection is more painful than death. I've explained both. While rejection was horrible, the loss of my husband is the worst pain, heartbreak I've ever experienced.
My 1st husband left me while I was sick with Lyme disease after 21 years of marriage..... My 2nd husband passed in Dec. From complications from lung transplant after 6.5 yrs of marriage. Losing my 2nd husband is so much more painful.
Your imagination of that girl hating you when she didn't, and didn't even know you, is just like my belief that God was ignoring me and neglecting me, when he was not. I misunderstood the Bible all my life. But now that I know that God has not been ignoring me or neglecting me all this time, I'm happy. For the first time in my life, I am experiencing happiness periodically throughout the day. Depression is lifting. I don't fear hell anymore. Whatever years there are before me, they are few. If I live to be 80, I would still have spent over half of my life as a Christian. I would like to have learned the truth about the Bible before I turned 47 years old. But I am still fortunate. Most people throughout history who struggled with the fear of hell and the longing for love and forgiveness, John Bunyan for example, never knew the truth about the Bible. Never before in history has an individual been able to gather so much information to evaluate. I am so fortunate. I am very glad that you are a happy lady. There are some Christians who want to know what is true beyond the obvious. I won't go to heaven when I die, but that's okay. I won't go to hell either. And that's such a comfort.
If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord , you will be saved. Then you can go to heaven! Please ask Him to come into your heart and show you His truth above everything else and He will love and save you from your sin.
Derek is right! Believe in Jesus Christ, accept Him as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved and will go to Heaven. HE is the only way to get to GOD ✝️💙
