Thanks for showing your fuel line set up, im converting a mk1 Diesel to Gas for the 1.8t swap, this was a huge help.

the pump setup is really cool. I don't know if you're going to use the car when it rains, but you might want to cover it with something so it doesn't get wet.

Great idea I’m not going to use the car in the rain but living in Florida you never know when it’s going to rain .. thank you

Just curious. I take it this is not a U.S. Rabbit, but a Golf imported from Europe, right? I mean, if it's a 1983 model, I assume that from the round headlights, rubber covered bumpers, non U.S. interior dash, etc. What I find curious is the fuel door (not a black round cap, but an actual square door) and the door handles. Those were modified, right? I was a proud owner of a U.S. specked Rabbit LS from 1981. Although I always saw the European Golfs, especially the GTis with envy. Thanks.

Hey , so we did a front end of a cabriolet and rear from a cabriolet euro style bumpers and dash from a cabriolet and front grill from a cabriolet, door handles are from a Audi A3 and gas cover is from a mk3 . I wanted to have a euro style GTI and more modern but still VW parts . We are running BC coil over 6k in the front to hold the weight of the engine as well as a cross brace from S&P and kneebar from the cabriolet to support the mid frame and rear stress bar to support the rear with 5k BC coilovers in the rear . Willwood breaks and disk in the back . May be selling the car soon if you are interested

      @@jessmods8980 Interesting! Very creative.
And no thank you, I don’t have the budget for another car right now… new or restored. But I would love to own that particular Rabbit, needless to say!

What have you done with the top part of the gas tank? have you welded it?

Thanks for asking , I had a friend that was helping me and he installed the gas tank , I’m aware that there’s a top vent on the new gas tank and I can’t see it so now I have to probably drop the tank and check to make sure it’s properly vented and not cap off since the lower vent and top vent both feed the gravity valve ..
If you are asking if I welded anything on the tank no I did not .

No I purchased the correct tank and vented it correctly
