    This solidifies my thinking on how important it is to have positive interactions with children, especially at an early age.

    To me the message is to stimulate a child's brain with interaction and information that is helpful in shaping the child to become a valued individual in life.

    WOW...This video validates the message 'I've' been sending...We were conditioned from 1 to 5yrs old to have a subject-object reality and that'it's important to limit our exposure to toxic info even as a adult...Thanks for sharing this wonderful-insightful video..NAMASTE',Rog !

    Eleven inspiring minutes to help us understand how the world's brain is being shaped one tweet, one email, one pin, etc. at a time. By paying attention to what we're paying attention to (think about this--mindfulness) we can influence the development of the world's brain as we can the child's, into something remarkable. It's in our hands. THANK YOU, Tiffany Shlain.

    The point about over-stimulation stood out to me. We need to be careful about allowing ourselves or others from becoming over-stimulated because the brain cannot handle having that many "tabs" open.

    • @utetrahemicon
      @utetrahemicon 4 года назад

      How many is that many? over-stimulation is that what this virus did?
      Too many physical connections via virus code, a virus is analogous to software.
      Our bodies are the hardware, A virus doesn't reproduce, a virus instructs our hardware to reproduce it.
      I sure wish Dr Shlain was still here.
      Thank you Tiffany

    The message is about the fundamental connectedness between us all and the individual responsibility we have for our world. This is an outgrowth of the agreement on the part of behavioral and biological sciences that very little of the reality of life is genetically programmed but depends instead on experiential learning.

    I agree with your words of praise, regarding the call for action, what I hear is that we are influenced by every interaction if we want to or not, so in order to grow in the direction we choose, we must prepare ahead and first use our common sense in choosing the environment that surrounds us and where we put our attention.

    What a fantastic presentation. Our children are the future, why not fill them with positive and exciting qualities the world has to offer? Even though the internet does produce some brilliant things, the key thing to remember is that our brains work best in person. Human contact is how we grow and survive, technology could never replace the richness of creativity and learnt tools picked up through our peers. We as a whole are a fascinating race and our best works are our children.

    A child's brain needs positive interaction and engagement to strengthen connections. "It is essential to pay attention to what we are paying attention to because every interaction counts." This is eye opening. Know when to take a break and unplug to indulge in self-care/family time. Prune the negative, unimportant aspects.

    Well done story and thank you for sharing. The brain is a powerful machine that has expanded ever since the first human recognized an animal in the distance and drew it on the cave wall. Not only is the drawer's brain changed as they recreate the animal story, so are the humans who experience the drawing. Stories are the most unique thing humans do over any other animal, so perhaps this is where we must focus our attention.
