    Thanks for watching.. In this video I share with you Outdoor Vitals KotaUL. This pack really challenged my thinking about what backpack are suppose to be. The Outdoor Vitals team has put a lot of effort into making a pack that is ultralight weight. This pack gives a traveler every thing they need and nothing that they don't. I believe this pack will be coming to kickstarter very soon.

    I'm a hiker. I use an HMG UL pack for that. This right here is the damn shit for air travel etc. Someone commented about the long length of the straps on the bottom. Those are for a tent or sleeping pad to hang on the outside bottom of the pack. So right on for that. LOVE LOVE the organization of this thing. I've been looking for a onebag for a while. Thanks for an awesome run through on this one.

      I also want to add that the accessory bundle with the travel cube turns in to a DAY pack when you unclip the straps on the outside of the bag! This is an awesome feature.

    The reason the set of side straps are so long so you can also hook them to the bottom of the pack for backpacking to carry your tent, sleeping matt/bag. I wish it came with 4 shorter straps for just the sides.

    I didnt even know that they had a bag in the pipeline, i thought they only made sleeping bags anf stuff. I'm sure they're gonna do well in this space, knowing that they basically say bump you to the establish brands tunnel vision. Thanks for sharing, Bro-ham. One.

    I picked up the Packt Backpack and haven't gotten a chance to use it much yet, but the one time that I used it, I definitely felt the weight. This bag is pretty interesting, thanks for the review.

    I'm excited about the weight even though it's a larger bag. My 35 l travel bag is great but heavy asf empty. So this is actually interesting.

    Love your videos. Do you keep all your bags or are you open to selling some? I would be possibly interested in the KOTA UL and the Dragonfly.

    Besides no strap management, I would also point that external zippers need to be sturdier. These are the ones that break first and these tiny zippers just don’t have the same reliability that bigger zippers provide. Weight means nothing if you have a broken zipper. One can live with broken internal zipper, but broken external zipper is a catastrophic backpack failure when on the road.
    Water bottle pocket I would prefer to be done from stretch mesh instead of zipped pocket. Stretch mesh better grips both wide and narrow, short and very long bottles, including thermoses. Yes, folks may want to use side pockets for something else besides water bottles, but having at least one dedicated water bottle pocket that can handle various sizes of bottles would be nice.
    You did not review how this pack handles when full and heavy. Is frame comfortable, does it keep pack off you back, so you can avoid sweaty back, are shoulder straps comfortable for full day carry? Missed opportunity on the small hip belt organizational pockets.

    Damn that pack looks nice but HUGE! It would be nice saving the two pounds, but I would just add 6 lb of extra gear 🤣

    What name and model laptop are you using in this video? I'm very interested in this backpack but I have a larger laptop. I'd like to compared my laptop dimensions to yours, to see if my slightly larger laptop will fit in the Kota UL.

    Is this ok for Carry on?

    2lbs 13oz, not sure why this is the only bag you listed with oz. Definitely should’ve listed all the bags with the same measurement. 2.8lbs

    • @GeorgeDEFINED
      @GeorgeDEFINED  3 года назад +1

      What other travel bags would you put in that list?

    • @IIIIIIIlII
      @IIIIIIIlII 3 года назад

      @@GeorgeDEFINED I was just asking for all the measurements to be listed with the same units.
      So instead of saying Peak designs 4.5lbs, it would've been 4lbs 8oz
      Topo 3.65lbs -> 3lbs 10oz
      and then you already listed the KotaUL as 2lbs 13oz.
