1580 here (paper SAT) - some advice: - do some focused practice on Khan Academy. Especially for English, where the test seems very nebulous but there are actually only like 15 total "types" of questions, practicing can be super helpful. - for the math section, digital: unless time is a super big issue for you, GRAPH EVERYTHING. I cannot overstate how overpowered desmos is for like 90% of problems but especially those with two or more functions. - memorize the quadratic formula: one or two questions per quiz will just be a rewriting of the quadratic formula and so this is an easy couple points - on the english section: your first task each question should be to cross off two answers, full stop. Find out the shitty answers (there are almost always two!) and cross them off. Start thinking from there. Good luck to younger students!
the thing about mainly using your physical calculator is the only thing I would disagree with - putting Desmos on there absolutely kills pretty much 100% of the Math section, you don't have to spend your time picking the thing up and typing a bunch of unnecessary buttons like "2nd" and it pretty much will show you everything you need to know right there on the graph. Also it's just more intuitive to use in general.
Yes, that is true. In my calculus class, they teach us how to use the calculator a bunch. I find it easier to use the physical calculator, personally, and I should have kept my personal interpretation out of the equation. Also, I did another practice test today, and desmos, along with my own calculator, was able to get me through the math section with a whole fifteen minutes to spare. They are each very useful-and overpowered-tools
1530 in the March Test here (with the first prep test being 1200). Gud advice, but practicing questions on paper is still a good idea. Bluebook only help with getting use to how to use the reading tools and desmos!
There are a few note questions where you have to read the notes now. Be careful when you are approaching, mainly in the second module. It’s a new thing they are adding to it can be tough.
@@Votumi nah i got a 1320 first time but it was much better than my practice tests!! retaking for the last time in december 😎 december sat is getting absolutely dogpiled

Yea I was going to say that, but I figured most people didn’t take calculus. If you take the first derivative and set it equal to zero, you can find the max or min
taking it tmmr as a junior i’m not tryna go fit a score that’ll place me in college but i wanna do it for practice, tryna go into this without stress😭😭 i’ll update w my score if i rmbr
Wow thats nice, i hope i get the same, i took my first SAT on the 23rd of march so like 6 days ago, it was digital, my score should be 2 weeks from the test day so next week hopefully
nice man. yeah i got a decent score 1470 but I have to retake to go to those top top colleges. FR make sure your algebra fundamentals are great for math section. And reading understand sentence structure, subject modifiers. If you ever gotta retake its fine@@nour3660
Answer the reading questions without reading them. Just put in random answers. If you ever wanna go back and practice reading, it will be there for you
the dsat is not question adaptive; it's module adaptive. you wont get a hard question if you dont select an answer. the set of question that you'll get is determined when you start a module.
But questions are randomized no? Like 22 questions will be given in a random order to everyone, but difficulty of questions increases as you go further on?
The first module is pretty much the same for everyone, but if you get more than 15 of 27 correct on module one, module two will be raised in difficulty
Now you’re on track for a 1600!!! 😬
Y’all I got a 1410 my second time around!!!
