Hope this diy do it your self tutorial helps you change your old turn signals from your harley davidson fat bob and helps install your new one's.
I bought those same lights for my Forty-eight, I might be able to install them myself. Thanks to you.
Thank You! i have been waiting for a how to on the LED lights for quite sometime! They look great!
Hey Man, thank for this video and all others fat bob related. I have the same one as you. I’ve never had the confidence to do any work on my Jeep or motorcycle, but this video gave it to me. I put the new LEDs on my motorcycle yesterday and it wasn’t tough, felt great being able to work on my bike, strip wires, soldering wires and see the final product come out great. Excited to put my relocation license plate on tomorrow. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Keep at it champ! If you ever get frustrated take that extra moment to breath and let your mind reprocess the task your working on. Glad you got the job done and felt the enjoyment of accomplishing the task. Hopefully it helps give you a boost for other projects ahead. The jeep is another vehicle i love working on ( probably why i just hemi swapped one) keep at it!
@@ghostlyrich thanks and will do.
Thanks for creating this guide. Really helpful for me as I’m about to install on my bob.
What’s the led for underside of the rear fender you used?
Thanks for the video
I use masons string. Really strong and will not scratch any surface
nice work, one question: does it throw a engine code/ warning because of the missing of running light ?
Nope. Works perfect
@@ghostlyrich thanks for the info
Well done, very clean looking. Wish they were legal in my state, here not DOT approved
I'm about to do a similar mod. I'd like to understand why you decided to feed the new wire through the bars and solder down near the connector instead of using the stock wires. I was thinking of pulling a couple inches of stock wires up, clipping and soldering at the turn signal end, then pulling the wire back into the bar for a clean install. Is there a reason why this would not work?
Great video, but you missed the important part which is how you fed the guide (hay?) wire through the bars
Instead of electrical tape you should use heat shrinks.
Thanks, i thought that i had to take the tank away to connect the front turn signal, since the connectors from the back ones are under the seat
Yea definitely took me a second as well
Did you get any hyper flash after the install?
No, I did not
Is the hay wire the same as baling wire (for hay bales)? Thanks!
Yep :)
U still got your bullet lights? Lol I need one
Thanks for the video - i Will do that on mine 👍💪
You should always cover your tank w towel or rubber mat..your SIGNAL light hit ya tank 3 times chips???
Nope, no chips
Some people you can’t tell them anything they know it all you should cover your tank, then like being an idiot, right😂
? You can cover the tank if your worried no one is fighting anyone on that point its a good step to take i answered back saying there wasn’t any chips. I have seen people cover there panels and work away thinking everything’s fine and still slip with a wrench or let the ratchet handle go and mess it up. Damned if you do or don’t
Anyone know of these compact type lights that have also running white lights?
I saw an install on the channel called Nooowayyjose with white running lights
DRAG SPECIALTIES 2040-2793 LED Handlebar Marker Lights
If you don't mind a bit bigger and a lot pricier see Denali's T3 lights (no first hand experience), they claim super bright with DRL, lots of mounting options.
Eagle Lights has almost the same light with three wires.
@@heppcat77 On first look you can use white or amber light but they don't work as running lights, only as turn signals.
SUCH A CUTE FACE.....
Is this generally the same install process for a 2021 street club do you think?
