This is like asking me "How much reverb is too much reverb?" The answer is always "Let's add more and see." I have the SuperFuzz and the MVave. Also the Oceans 12, which is a much better pedal than the MVave, but of course more expensive. You haven't lived until you've gotten a doomy bass sound BUT with a surfy drip.
@chrisegonmusic its true. I actually stripped down some riffs I have written because a simple cord worked just as well as a complex cord does for the shoegaze wall of guitar.
The boost mode (or should I say BEAST mode??) is my favourite. To me it’s less sparkly but it’s more deep and wide and full range. A truly goated budget pedal. 11/10.
I really mean that it’s worth the entry just for the boost like. Propa double lursh. It’s taken a while to get into it but it may be a regular edition. There’s a more than zero chance that I’d get a Boss Hyper Fuzz at some point 😬
I love using the superfuzz as a boost but not in the way you think. I use it one mode 1, gain barely on and level way up. Besides pushing whatever drive I have after it, it also adds that octave fuzz spice and I love it.
Very nicely done Chris. Your uploads always inspire and make me jot down yet another pedal to check out. The Gods are at play today too, this video finished and I noticed 6Music on in my kitchen is playing MBV Only Shallow
Ah, so glad to hear that. Really had fun with this video and I’m glad to have finally found something special in another pedal. I need to make a video just on the Vibraclone. Sure I listen to Loveless about twice a week ya know 🎸
@chrisegonmusic just been Googling the Vibraclone for some demos. I only have a 5 pedal set up as that's best for my overthinking/worrying 🧠 but I may break that and have some extras to play around with, fuzzes and movement pedals. The Behringer fuzz could be fun. Yeah, Loveless is a "life" album eh. I'm old/lucky enough to have seen them waaaay back when it first came out. On a Telescopes trip at the moment, layers of fuzz and texture on their sound
picked this up recently as well as the trem and eq. i believe all 25 bucks and free shipping w sweetwater. hard to pass up especially where im filling holes in board. may replace the trem and eq later but the super fuzz ill always keep around. boss clones for cheap, i can deal w the plastic enclosures honestly.
@@lynchaxxonn yeah I kind of like the enclosures. I have the EQ and it’s really useful. I don’t have the Tremolo but I do have the TC Choka Tremolo which I think is basically the same but in a metal enclosure. Of all their pedals I’ve tried, I’d say the Super Fuzz is the best.
Your jams create the auditory helldcape of a bad acid trip, well done, great overtone drones! You could go in a few different directions starting with that sound...worst case scenario you're tapped by BLUMHOUSE to score the music for their next horror film!!
I have the behringer ultra fuzz and it just sound like MASSIVE and when I put a reverb into it I get an eldritch horror wall of pure nightmare fuel noise and I freaking love it (english is not my first language so sorry if something sounds weird or anything XD)
@@vims2105 I love describing music as Lovecraftian or Eldritch. Makes so much sense to me that way. It took me a while to get into this fuzz but it’s so perfect for that sort of thing 🧡
How many fuzz pedals is too many fuzz pedals?
No such thing

We don't need this kind of negativity in our lives, lol

I love fuzz pedals. They cover up the fact I can't play guitar to save my life.
@@id.unknown1283 reverb also does that.
That’s why fuzz and reverb go so well together.
Life is easy when you know the tricks 👌

@@id.unknown1283 chordal vamp innit.
Loads of jazz tunes are essentially one chord.
Same here brother 😂 if i cant write good melodies ill just make some noise!!
@ all about the texture 👌
I love the super fuzz, my friend makes a clone called a super muff and it’s a triangle muff and super fuzz in one enclosure. Big fan of it lol
Ah nice.
Two of the best! 👌

@@Humr666 Nice.
I can’t really justify getting the Hyper Fuzz when this exists.
Feel like it’s going on my permanent board.
@@chrisegonmusic get two so that you can boost one with the other. Still cheaper than the hyper fuzz.

I’ve never been able to get along with the fuzz settings, but the boost is actually my “always on”.
It’s really quite special 🧡
Alright, I’ll buy a Super Fuzz 🙈
The Mini Universe has also been on my list of to purchase pedals
@@mybloodypatton Hurrah!

Advancements in DSP apparently 🎸
