    For those who think CJ doesn't belong in the evil tier, don't you forget that he drowned a man and a woman who did nothing to him and begged for his mercy just to please that buster OG Loc. He killed a lot of construction workers, destroyed their property and brutally murdered their foreman by burying him in a portable toilet under concrete and it's all because they allegedly called his sister a "hooker".

    Niko is definitely not evil. He is probably the least evil main GTA protagonist fundamentally. Unlike most other protagonists, Niko goes out of his way to do small and good deeds for close people and complete strangers, and he genuinly cares for people.
    Sure, he did vile things during his time at the war, however it's very evident that he regrets his past, but still accepts it and the responsibility that comes with it.
    Everything that Niko did ever since he came to LC was for other people, mostly Roman.

    1. Claude. I think even Trevor would be freaked out by this guy.
    2. Toni. He literally committed terrorism to help out a guy he wasn't that friendly with to begin with. Though he was sympathetic towards Toshiko and being loyal to Salvatore and his mother but his actions in the game were often pretty vile.
    3. Tommy. He only cares about himself, doesn't have much sympathy for anyone. Got rid of Rosenberg at the end of the game the guy who always defended him, helped start a war between the Haitians and Cubans for cheap change, also committed terrorism 2 times in the mall and the 1st biker mission which is a rampage.
    4. Trevor. Even when he is in a "good" mood, he is only inches away from killing you. Has no respect for anyone other than Michael and his family, mistreats his real friends, has no problem torturing people for reasons he doesn't understand and his only redeeming quality is when he "defended" Tracy's dignity.
    5. Michael. He is like a downgraded version of Tommy so he is less sociopathic... probably because he has a family but shares similar traits to him.
    The others I don't really consider them evil at all. They had evil actions as expected in a GTA game but a lot of times it felt as a justified answer to what was happening in these games. I don't know how you can put Niko that high tbh.

    I think the most cold-blooded and insane of all the protagonists is Claude. He is constantly silent, he agrees to any dirty work without understanding who is “good” and who is “bad”, how this will affect the relationship between him and other people, he works for all sides at once, before the events of GTA 3 all he did was kill, steal, broke the law and robbed banks, he can betray at any moment if it is beneficial to him or simply because someone raised tone at him, as was the case with Kenji, he felt disrespect for himself and then he believes that even such high-ranking personalities are obliged to respect him like yakuza bosses and be more "respectful". He doesn't care if he's being hunted all the time.
    Of course, he is not without emotions and can understand who his ally is and perhaps treats someone warmly. But still, his emotions are often his grin, he constantly shows the fak finger when he is almost knocked down by car. He is always more than calm in critical situations.
    Simply put, Trevor says this with humor, but there is a hint in it. Trevor, this is kind of a true hipster and a parody of what maniacs want to be seen as. Claude is what psychopath really are, without clowning, excessive grotesqueries and fetishes. Pure indifference and callousness. At the same time, Claude is a naive, everyone betrays him and wants to kill him. He agrees to absolutely anything and it was some kind of stupidity of the villains or luck that saved him more than once, not his mind. Most likely, because of some kind of psychiatric problems he is who he is. He is a man: “I see the goal - I don’t see the obstacles.”

In the north Yankton robbery at the beginning of the game Trevor kills a security guard that grabs hold of Michael and Michael tells him he didn't have to do that. After robbing the gold bank near the end of the game Trevor is about to kill one of the security guards but Michael stops him and instead bribes the guard. Michael kills people as well, but he only does so when they get in his way or when ordered to do so. Trevor kills people simply because he wants to.

      Trevor doesn't like being told what to do and especially when the government tells him to do so...

    CJ is a textbook of Lawful Evil protagonist; he holds strict standard against drugs, devoted to his family and owns a several of legal businesses, but he also often did extremely heinous things, willing to eliminate everyone who betrayed him and get in his way, made his gang powerful and dominate Los Santos, took over the territories, rules Los Santos' underworld pretty much like a tyrant, has some machiavellian moments, and did some questionable things for his profits such as killing an innocent hotel valet to steal his uniform and career, and lied to Madd Dogg that OG Loc was the only one who ruined his life and career, then he becomes Madd Dogg's manager and his mansion becomes ones of his properties.
    Claude is a textbook of Neutral Evil protagonist; he's completely cold, emotionless, opportunistic, willing to use any mean to get high paid and to pursue his revenge, and seems doesn't care about anyone much.
    Trevor is a textbook of Chaotic Evil protagonist; he's a cannibal, unstable, impulsive, prone to be extremely violent when being angry or provoked, willing to torture the enemies and victims for fun, often did random and shameless things. Vic Vance deserved to be in the good guy tier tbh. Everything he tried to do was for the people he cared about, hell even hesitating and questioning the morals of doing wrong things but still had to if it meant for getting money for his family like his brother with asthma.
    Michael does deserve the anti hero rank. Sure he tried to kill Trevor but it was because he wants to raise his family in a place away from all the crime, although he is not an honest guy and sugarcoats a lot of things but deep down most of his intentions whether if it was for his family, friends or himself, was good.
    Niko's character was molded by the tragedies he went through in his younger years, including the war where he saw his friends, family and people get killed. He never really had a choice in a lot of things or opportunities to start his life again so he resorted to being a hitman just for money. But in some of those missions he has a choice to spare people and that factors into his morality being questioned. I think anti-hero fits him.
    I think Tommy Vercetti is borderline devil tier tbh. He can be pretty aggressive, will do anything to climb up the ranks and did a lot of bad things. At the same time he is a loyal character but he cares about getting bigger more.

That is not a natural way of speaking, it is an artificial pattern that most AI of that time also used. Recognize it once and you'll notice all AI of that generation doing the exact same thing.
      Beyond that, there are wildly incorrect statements being made throughout the video. This is another sign of it being AI-generated as in misinterprets the information it looks up in order to generate its spoken text. Anyone that either knows the games by having played them or has looked up the information themselves would know that at numerous points this AI states factually incorrect information that does not add to any conversation about the subject, it only detracts.
      After the second mistake the AI made I rewound the video and closely listened to the aforementioned speech pattern to confirm that it is, in fact, lazily AI-generated content where the uploaders did not even bother to fact-check their own content.
      This video only serves to bait clicks for views and discussions in the comments, which it has succeeded at spectacularly.

    I’d put Michael in Evil Sometimes. This is a guy who ruined his family and even after retirement, still did some pretty crazy shit. Amanda says it like it’s so casual that it doesn’t even phase her super much anymore that Michael keeps killing people and then sits in the sun feeling guilty about it. Although Michael did go on to regret a lot of his choices, such as how he spent decades murdering people for money and robbing from others just to support his family and himself, he never truly lost that love for chaos. He’s a thrill seeker that enjoys chaos but doesn’t necessarily seek it. There’s also that messy betrayal back in North Yankton. Although Michael never wanted to betray Trevor, he did it out of a necessity. But at the same time, it also shows that Michael doesn’t really understand Trevor. If he just had a emotional chat with his feelings, Trevor would honestly understand Michael’s perspective and then maybe their relationship wouldn’t have been hugely strained the majority of V. There’s also that Michael was pretty fucking terrifying, perhaps even worse than Trevor before he had kids. Don’t get me wrong, Michael is a maniac but the guy has better standards than Trevor and he actually regrets his decisions and actually attempts to change himself and his life. He’s worse than Franklin though.

      @@Mathias.HansenI’d consider Trevor more of a Sociopath, since he’s definitely deranged and crazy, but he does show affection like with Patricia and his mom, and even Michael.
      I’d definitely agree with Michael though. I feel like Michael is over hated because of the whole North Yankton thing, but let’s be real. I feel like most people would have done the same thing if given the opportunity. Michael says it himself. “When your legs just give, and you just can’t run anymore”

    • @solidzack
      @solidzack 4 месяца назад +1

      The thing is, Michael enjoys the criminal life. He talks about this with Dr. Friedlander, how he loves his family and doesn't wanna endanger them, but also loves the killing and stealing. His first heist after decades made him feel alive again and robbing the union depository still was his dream, so much that after his family got attacked by mercenaries by order of Devin Weston, his next decision is to start the Heist instead of not endangering his family any further. He enjoys the thrill and when he doesn't get it, he spirals down into depression.
      Not to mention he also snaps occasionally like Trevor, though he can contain himself better. Also he tries to spare people when he can, like the cop in the Prolog, another cop in the final heist stealth approach, Devin Westons assistant, the tennis coach and Lazlow. So I'd say, an Anti-Hero it's the best description for him. It's also arguable if he's more evil than Franklin, who killed several people to manipulate the stock for Lester

    Trevor is also pretty loyal as long as you don’t cross him. He’s crazy and has done a lot of bad things but he looked out for Frank and Lamar during their drug deal in the story and he was down with Michael until he found out the truth and realized he couldn’t trust him, which made him even more paranoid.
    He also had feelings for some people, so he isn’t a complete psychopath.

Trevor just doesn't like being lied to and you can see how that took an affect on him probably because of his mother who was a cheat and was constantly having s3x

      Exactly. Imagine how many people’s lives were ruined by Tommy’s drug operations over the years. Even though Vic does deal in drugs, his drug operations ended very quickly despite being very successful. Unlike Luis, Armando, Henrique, Trevor and others who sell drugs, Tommy is a drug baron, meaning he is the main supplier and most powerful drug dealer in his area, doubling the amount of people who can get hurt by his drugs. Tommy just doesn’t care as long as it makes him money. In that sense, he’s no better than Sonny, as Tommy too dishonours the Mafia code by selling drugs, despite allegedly believing in “honour among thieves.” Tommy is very much a psychopath and has very few lines separating him from Sonny. He won’t betray his friends, but he’s also extremely selfish and narcissistic. He abandoned his best friend and left him for dead in the desert. That alone proves just how selfish Tommy is. Tommy definitely deserves to be on Devil Himself.

    They have massive amounts of weapons to casually cause mass destruction all over San Andreas, kill relentlessly to the point where even the other characters that have committed or involved with homicide are concerned of the amount of murders they commit, all with a straight face. There are even events in the game where they compete in destroying property like cars or getting headshots on others, meaning they do this for fun. They run many operations for illegal activities, and commit numerous amounts of heist, robbing others of important stuff, and even robbed a man’s island so many times, they literally drove him insane. Their actions are why Lester never invited them to the story mode’s heists. Hell, in comparison to the main three from V, who can get arrested with 1-2 stars, the police opt to shoot to kill when it comes to the online protagonist, meaning he’s so dangerous, the concept of taking him in alive doesn’t exist.
    They are so dangerous, Online removes animals from the Story Mode, pairs them only with other psychopaths like themselves, and the only people that they don’t kill are the people that pay them, indicating their greed.

    My choices are close enough to this, except:
    CJ is an anti-hero. A man with principles of loyalty, family and respect above all else, looking to have a life out of gang warfare and moving on to new things, he is a dreamer of a good life that actually fought to save and take with him those he liked, and even showed bits of emotional remorse when he killed his traitors. Still, his deeds for guys like Tenpenny and Jizzy put him in a unmoral position of humanity, along with building his garage business out of stealing vehicles. Overall, at beginning, Carl liked to be a hood, but in the end, he wanted better.
    Niko is also an anti-hero. Even though he is not a remorseful person, he shows emotions and even heartbreaks with certain events. Not a totally cold blooded killer, Niko is a survivor with numerous physical and mental scars of his destructive past, and someone that never really learn how to forgive or walk on until he finally found Darko. He openly admits to Roman he ruined his life and was apologetic about it, and when he lost Roman, he felt he lost everything.
    Michael is a complicated case of evil sometimes and indeed an anti-hero. While at times a maniac and complete loose cannon when the time came to act, he always made sure to be fair and square in his choices, and when he helps someone, normally it leads to a good thing. Yes, he is selfish, temperamental and ruthless when he is criminally acting, but he tries to be a good father and husband (even with spoiled rotting kids and a thot for a wife), acted as a friend/father in arm for Franklin and finally decides to accept Trevor back in his life to end this burden.

    I personally think Niko is more of an anti-hero. He goes out of his way to help certain characters. And he does feel genuine remorse about his violent ways. Although, there is an argument to be made that it doesn't matter if you feel bad about the things you do if you keep doing them. But, I think he did change his ways in the end.
    Lester referenced him in GTA V and said he "Went quiet." I always thought that meant he left the criminal life. Then again, he could have continued the criminal life and just gotten killed.

    This is totally bonkers. Michael is AntiHero?? Seriously!!?? Dude, the definition of AntiHero is someone who does morally questionable things but still has a glimmer of goodness in him and a somewhat justifiable goal of greater good. Michael is just a retired criminal whose only goal is self preservation considering his age, escaping punishment from his past deeds and living in luxury for the rest of his life. There is no glamour or any glimmer of greater good in his motivations.
    As for CJ and Niko being evil, you are just announcing your lack of nuance and subtlety in thought process out to the world at this point. An evil person does things because it is just who they are as a person. CJ and Niko are both folks forced into a life of crime out of circumstances not because they enjoyed it. They do evil acts sometimes but in the larger picture, they are Antiheroes mostly.

    Claude imo is the scariest. He just goes for the kill, gets the job done, no questions asked, he doesn't think anything through, he's an unstoppable force in a way. And I think he even killed Maria at the end after she said she loves him. He's completely deranged

    • @Spartak2811

      @TaviousOliver-bg1wnMaria did nothing wrong. Salvatore insults and humiliates her, treats her worse than crap, she wanted to leave him, break out from his shackles, live just like she wants, become free and independent, be herself and find a better life for herself. It’s impossible to blame her.
      She deserved so much better. If only she had just never met Salvatore, her life could be much better. But the fate decided otherwise…

    • @Spartak2811
      @Spartak2811 8 месяцев назад

      @TaviousOliver-bg1wn that is a damn lie. She didn’t want to be with Salvatore. Salvatore was the person who wanted to marry this young girl, she didn’t like him anyways. She never liked him, she despised him from the beginning. She was too young, naive and trustful. And it was her biggest weakness. He never loved her, he looked down on her like on toy, trophy, property. He cheated on her with other young girls. And you blame Maria as a culprit of all evils? What a hypocrisy? Salvatore just manipulated her.
      Where did you see that she worked as a usual waitress just to find a sugar daddy? There was written in her eyes “I’m looking for a sugar daddy”? Did she bewitch him? Did she seduce him? Did she blackmail him? No, she didn’t like him. What did this old decrepit stinky worthless and pathetic impotent wreck think when he decided to marry her? That he’ll be young forever? She’ll be his toy, trophy, property, obedient housewife? Bird locked in a golden cage? Was he so stupid not to realising that it will be unequal marriage where she’ll be miserable and cause so many troubles? Was he so stupid? He showed himself not only as stupid but as frivolous and shortsighted person.
      What the hell does he care with a girl who’s younger than his own son?!

    • @Spartak2811
      @Spartak2811 8 месяцев назад

      @TaviousOliver-bg1wn let’s not think that a man in his sixth-seventh decade of his life who achieved all kinds of successes in the criminal underworld, had all judges and politicians in his pocket, power, might, influence and billions of dollars, strong soldiers and capos like Toni Cipriani, who had a son and a lovely wife, but, unfortunately, she died… can’t think that a young girl old enough to be his daughter sincerely loved him and agreed to marry him. His marriage proposal was an offer she couldn’t refuse.
      When Salvatore took control of the family after bloody power struggle in the mid 80’s being in his early 50’s, Maria was a teenager. She was only 12-13. It means that Salvatore is a pedophile. An old Sicilian pedophile. An old man chooses a very young girl, he sexually uses and manipulates her, and then, when she outlives her sexuality and attractiveness, he gets rid of her, changing her for other girls.
      And what is bad in wanting money? Are you primitive? We live in modern world, in modern generation and in modern society where money values the most. Everyone wants to be in comfort. Or we all should die in misery, poverty and famine?
      Maria is my favourite character for her bitter, anarchistic and rebellious character. She doesn’t hide behind a fake persona and she admits for who she is. She just shows a huge middle finger to Salvatore and the whole family, showing that she will not obey to anyone. She’s American, not Italian, not Sicilian. She’s a person of completely different generation. She will never be obeyed to this old Sicilian Don, but to his rules, traditions and orders. She will never be a bird locked in a golden cage. She wants to be free and independent.

      @TaviousOliver-bg1wn what is wrong in being materialistic? It is great in being materialistic. It is perfect in being materialistic. Or should we all die in poverty, misery and starvation?

    • @Spartak2811
      @Spartak2811 4 месяца назад

      @TaviousOliver-bg1wn I’m sorry but Maria wasn’t born as a gold digger. It’s not in her DNA. She could only raised like that but we don’t know nothing about her early life. We don’t know nothing about her childhood and upbringing, we don’t know nothing about her parents. And Maria isn’t the only one in the Latore family, she has an older sister, who’s married and has 2 kids. Maybe it’s her parents’ fault that they raised her like that, she wanted money (who doesn’t want). Or Maria’s biggest mistake is just for being born? Please, don’t forget, that Maria’s father was against her marriage with that old scumbag Salvatore, he fiercely hated Salvatore referring him as a fat slob. He knew that this relationship does NOT have a future, will NOT bring happiness and will NOT end up good. He knew that Salvatore will destroy her morally, emotionally and spiritually. Who knew that Maria’s father was right.
      Did Maria’s father deserved the possible death of his daughter? Parents should not bury their children.

    Franklin is a good person only wants to make it out of his life situations such as being poor, he doesn’t directly seem to want to kill, such as when they kidnapped strech(I forgot who) and they had to let him go or kill him but Franklin said we have to let him go at first reaction not even thinking of killing. If he could have made his money without killing I think he would have but that’s what he’s used to and was around and we see that as the game goes on he gets richer and doesn’t forget Lamar which is his best friend but doesn’t deal with any of the hood problems it’s Lamar that brings him back in and Franklin being a good person helps him out. And this is proven later on in the story with the O’neils and Franklin didn’t have to follow them it wasn’t even his problem and wouldn’t have bitten him in the ass it was Trevor’s problem but still looking out for his friend he follows them.
