    This is a great detail, coach Lachie, and a good adaptation of the Danaher team's patterns. I train at Dominance so I've had the pleasure of seeing you and Craig around. Great to have the Melbourne scene at such a high level.

    Nice. I’ve seen Nicky locked this several times and the main details I picked up was Nick getting up on to the elbow to create space. Didn’t realize hand was also used to block the opponent from escaping. Thanks for sharing Lachie

    Lachlan what are your thoughts on this versus the one arm rear naked choke? I feel like the one arm is much safer since you dont let go of the opponents hand so he can come up and fight your arms/hands. And as for power, just right now try to take the pinky "side" of your right hand to the right side of your neck and use the neck to press the arm in as you would with a choke, and feel just how tight that is just with the pressure on your bicep. Now imagine a neck being between your arm there. What are your thoughts on it?

  • @MatrixJiuJitsu

    what do you think about covering the chokearm hand with the chin so it becomes impossible to grab the hand? that´s my main way of finishing now, but it turns into a one arm choke very often, only if they don´t tap ill switch to the standard rnc. ill try this tonight, it should be possible to combine both because i think it´s crucial to sink the choke arm deep and keep it there. skilled opponents will always try to peal the hand.

    so after you throw the fist in, then grip the bicep and secured the rnc, do you punch the fist all the way through and behind the neck like Nicky?

    One question though; why are you falling to wrong side initially?

    • @prandz420
      @prandz420 5 лет назад +1

      Be The Change not sure on Lachlan’s reasoning but the “wrong” side is actually much harder to escape as it helps stop the opponent putting his back on the ground

    • @Mr_Sh1tcoin
      @Mr_Sh1tcoin 5 лет назад

      @@prandz420 thats not true though; your head placement stops their back from getting to the floor, regardless if youre on the right/off side. If you arent fighting for that bottom head position they will get their back on the matt anyway.
      I think though the offside position set up is just that; its something different.
      Cheers for your response

      The underhook/ “wrong” side of back control it’s easier to trap your opponents arm with your leg.

    Playing the choke off the top arm is the first mistake here. This fairly complicated process does, however, seem to mitigate a lot of that problem. I consider it easier to simply switch off to choking with the bottom arm and eliminate these problems altogether.

    • @AmbicionEterna
      @AmbicionEterna 4 года назад

      It can sometimes be hard to transition seatbelt sides without losing upper body altogether. Plus some people like going to one side based off direction of body triangle. And honestly sometimes can’t always control which side you end up on. I’ve had to learn how finish the choke from both sides. Like you, I prefer to choke with bottom arm but pros and cons to both IMO.

    • @MrMZaccone
      @MrMZaccone 4 года назад

      @@AmbicionEterna The technique to transition is still simpler than what's offered here and if you decide to transition, it doesn't matter which side you "end up" (or start) on, you transition to the "strong" side (bottom arm choke). I agree that you eventually have to build technique to choke from both sides but technique has to be prioritized and ordered from simple to complex.

    Mr. Giles, and or Danaher/Renzo/Tonon/Ryan's...with all due respect, is this not a variation for on the side of the Kung Fu Donkey Punch Rolling Pin Motion RNC theory I came up with that I showed in 2 vids...time stamped here ruclips.net/video/px1yo-9wc-8/видео.html and here ruclips.net/video/6VfEKi74qPc/видео.html the later of which I tweeted to Renzo & Garry be4 their ONE Fights (Garry attempted the Exorcist Neck Crank shown in same vid but was too far on side scissors back control not straight on the back for it to work). This old guy with Lupus would just like a polite shoutout every now & then, or was someone else showing punch hand placement to the neck with the elbow rolling over for connection before me that I am not aware of? Thank you, where did you pick up the initial concept and details?

    • @kingnatre
      @kingnatre 5 лет назад

      Looks like 2 different moves. your fist that goes up the spine creates more distance between you and your opponent, and then finally goes up to the back of the head, pushing your opponent head into your choking arm. This detail demonstrated here shows more of putting your fist at the side/back of the neck to prevent him from getting his head to the floor during transition

    • @DanTheWolfman
      @DanTheWolfman 5 лет назад

      yes, but fist to neck, rolling elbow over to lock behind them so they can't 2 on 1 is the key parts....his details are good for porpping the neck up when on your side for sure. But obviously similar concepts.
