  • Note that this program had been videotaped for air on November 22, 1963, but was postponed by one week due to the assassination of President Kennedy.

I saw this many years ago at the Museum of Radio and TV in New York.
I was looking for Jack Paar video and this was not listed under his name.
Instead it was under "Kennedy Assassination".
And what you don't see here is about a 2 or 3 minute taped preface by Jack explaining why this show was being seen a week late. It was taped on Sunday November 17th, 1963, just the weekend before the shooting.
If I remember correctly, Jack said that they considered doing a memorial for the president, but thought better of it and he believed the Kennedy family (who were friends) would rather see the show that was meant to air on November 22, 1963.

This was before the First Liston fight? I’ve watched it so many times. Ali was just all that! Liberace is so charming. Both guests too good and too big to be handled well by Paar. Lol
