I remember seeing this on Jack Parr--I was 13.. And telling classmates of the group called the Beatles, they laughed.

I'm a musician because of the Beatles,they changed my life and I remember watching this show as an eight year old,why I was still up I don't know but I hated them,I thought they looked and sounded like beetles,horrible!,little did I know that in a few months I'd see and hear them again and absolutely love them,the Beatles next to my God and my family are the biggest influence on my life,God bless the Beatles! Cool to see! My young mom watched Jack Parr. At 4, I got to stay up late a few minutes w/her to see the "new host", Johnny Carson's 1st night. Both were classy older men to me as a child. Saw The Beatles 1st on Ed Sullivan, of course!

You don't know what you're talking about. Paar was of the World War II. generation. He later admitted that, of course, he had been making fun of them, also, that his judgment of them had been wildly, ridiculously wrong.
Jack Paar hosted The Tonight Show between 1957 - 1962. This is from the one hour Friday evening show he had on NBC between 1963 - 1965. He was one of the cleverest, wittiest men in the history of American entertainment. If you doubt me, do a You Tube search using the following keywords:
