This is a scary experience. I know someone who hired a house help only to realize, almost a year later, that she had lied about everything - even her name. This is so scary especially since we never ask for a copy of their ID cards. And if we ask and they give stories, we just tell them "it's okay". Your story is an eye-opener. If I ever hire a house help, I'll make sure he/she gives me their ID copy, at least 3 contacts of people who can prove who they are, and they'll have to provide me with their passport photos as well - including a valid Good Conduct document. If they don't have any but genuinely need the job, then they will do everything humanly possible to get the documents. I won't feel sorry for them or be desperate enough to let them work for me as they get the documents. This is just like any other job - and you are trusting them with your property, child, and life. Thanks for sharing this.
Don't trust anybody and if a person is helping you with cleaning please must give you her/his ID book and know where she stays .

PLEASE DON'T EVER drop or let your guards down again regarding letting a stranger come into your home for any reason, as well as, eat or drink any food from a stranger. You both have done very well with the help of God to keep your own home clean, and you don't need anyone coming into your home to clean or take care of your baby. I felt before you said what you said about the lady, that whoever this lady is, she is into stealing babies. Just Know that GOD is with you both, and has been with you both, and will continue to give you the strength to continue to take care of yourselves, your home, and your baby. PLEASE pray daily for the protection of God over your lives and your baby, and pray over your home daily.

I hope this won't be confusing, but I'm sure that you can figure it out. Your friend, that is also on youtube, has put up a video that has information in it that could clearly show people how to find you, where you live. I am not going to go into detail, because that would, obviously, point people to where you are, however, your friend, mistakenly, I'm sure, needs to edit the video she has up, so that it doesn't contain this info. You're smart, and I'm sure you will be able to figure out what I'm talking about. This could possibly be how this cleaning person found you? I would contact your friend and ask her to edit this info out of her video, asap.

Sorry this happened. But a blessing also- you now have eyes opened!! I’ve heard of these things happening often in 3rd world countries because there’s a business in selling babies. It’s scary how desperate people are for a quick buck, they’re willing to scam and worse things!
I also think it’s part of being a smart person. you must be choosy and careful who you allow into your personal life no matter what country and status you have. Sometimes even the closest people can turn out to have different standards from your own. I don’t think you should be suspicious of everyone but you need to always keep folks within your set boundaries. A good person will respect your boundaries period!you say you’re vulnerable because you feel alone without family… if I understood correctly. But I’d advise to not speak like this. You are not vulnerable or alone. You are in control of who you choose in your sphere. You are also a family of 2 soon to be 3. Even if you were literally just Anika or Ian alone no partner- you are always backed by God and therefore not vulnerable! I just would rephrase these words as I think if you say you’re vulnerable you will believe it and live as a vulnerable persons. Sorry my rant, hope it makes sense, comes from a good place🫶

Please be careful with people. Both of you can do it when the baby comes. Have a schedule and work together. Here in United States, most people do it on their own until the baby is old enough to go to daycare. No nannies. My husband and I did it with four kids. You can do it. ❤❤❤

Please be extra careful sometimes people are not as they seem they may have a dangerous motive or try and steal your baby! Be careful leaving your beautiful wife alone and no matter how good your hearts are god knows but danger is always lurking can never be too careful! Make sure all your important documents are safe and ensure they don’t follow u and watch you leave your house. Be safe ❤following your instincts always correct! I had helped a lady the same way till things started to go missing from my house she tried to be me so scary! I had to move!
