I've heard all this about fuel "going off" but I have cars in storage that have been sat for over 5 years and once fuel gets to the carbs they start right up, so I have not been caught out by that theory in real life in such short times. Maybe I have just been lucky?
Steph, from idriveaclassic, did a RUclips video a year or so ago, starting up a 1994 Proton that had been sitting in a garage for 10 years with half a tank of old fuel. All they did was change the battery and it started first turn of the key.
