There are FOUR unaired (and *cough* unfinished) episodes available exclusively on Patreon and RUclips memberships.
Next week's deep dive on bambara nuts (and bambara nut milk) is also now available for members. Otherwise it should be live for free on Sunday.

The spaghetti western intro was hilarious :) Even though they already made almond milk in the Middle Ages, I still find it hard to believe that your cashew and almond milk has nothing but nuts, water, sugar. Here in Germany, every brand of plant milk has a ton of additives so that it wouldn't break etc.

I've got an easy winner for you when it comes to coffee and baking desserts, Aroy-D Coconut Milk, found at nearly every asian grocery store. Has almost the same fat content as half & half (I've even made it into whipped cream by stabilizing it with gelatin), the fat doesn't separate and clump up, and it doesn't melt and form an oil slick on top of your coffee. If you like the taste of coconut then it's just outright better than real half&half in every possible way

The best vegan milk in my opinion is milk made from chufas. In Spain they call it horchata de chufas. When you make it at home the milk is naturally sweet, creamy and full of natural prebiotics. It’s easy to make, although you have to soak the chufas for two days.

I agree I have just bought a pack of six cartons from Amazon. Here in the UK chufa are called tiger nuts and it is quite easy to grow(soak them in water for approx 24hrs before planting). They are the underground rhizomes of Cyperus esculentus.

I used to be able to name every nut milk that there was. And it used to drive my cat crazy, because she used to say, "Jared ‘Weird Explorer’ Rydelek, if you don't stop naming nut milks," and the joke was that we lived in Pine Nut, and I think that's what put it in my mind at that point. So she would hear me in the other room, and she'd just start meowing. I'd say, "Peanut milk. Hazelnut milk. Cashew nut milk. Macadamia nut milk." That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nut milks!" And Kitty used to be able to make the sound, she couldn't talk, but she'd go "rrrawr rrawr" and that sounded like Macadamia nut milk. Pine nut milk, which is a nut milk, but it's also the name of a town. Pistachio nut milk. Red pistachio nut milk. Natural, all natural white pistachio nut milk.

The real question is... Have you ever had a dream to become a movie director - like James Rolfe (Cinemassacre), who is famous for The AVGN and a horror movie nerd?
Finally, thank you for your videos which made me curious about fruits, and answering the question in advance!

We use the milkadamia the most out of the nut milks. We like it. We use the unsweetened one. I had no idea all of those ingredients were in there and I have never noticed a vitamin taste. It just tastes tropical to me. We like it with cold and hot cereals. We use it in some baking recipes when the tropical taste doesn't interfere. Otherwise, we prefer planet oat milk extra creamy; especially if making hot chocolate. We use cashews and water to make cashew cream, if a dish calls for cream. If cooking, we often use soy milk, unless we're making Thai food, then we use coconut milk. They all have different strengths and uses.*We like Oatly Ice Cream. *For egg nog substitute, we like Elmhurst Oat Nog.

Might be a coincidence, but a popular game called Valheim has cloudberries as an in game item and released about 3 months after your cloudberry video. A sudden influx of people searching for an unusual fruit may have boosted your videos presence in the algorithm. When I was playing the game I thought it was a fictional fruit, so seeing a video like yours would have been an insta-click for me and I think that's how I found your channel. I wonder if that had anything to do with the sudden popularity of that video.

Here's the explanation for a couple of the ingredients that'll be added to a lot of the products:
Lectin: Works to stop the layers from separating when heated or mixed with other liquids.
Celulose/xantam/any other gum: thickening agent. Intends to make the texture and mouth-feel closer to milk. Also helps with foaming for baristas/coffee shops.
Vegetable oils: Trying to replicate the specific mouth feel/texture that fat gives to milk. Also helps with the foaming.
Vitamins/minerals: Seed/nut milk tends to be way less nutritionally rich than actual milk, so it's trying to help out in that aspect. Some legislations also require food with low nutritional qualities to divulge so on the packaging, so they might be trying to avoid doing that.

You should make a special "Carton Story" finale to the series. In it all the cartons go to rescue the winner from you who is mutilating them like that evil kid from Toy Story. They go on an adventure and at the end you die or something, like that evil kid from toy story (the kid didnt die, but that's just because they had to keep the movie broad)

Well that was... entertaining. I don't watch old movies like you do so most of your references were lost in me but the Psycho one had me rolling on the floor 😂 I use almond milk to make lattes, maybe since it's warmed that helps it not clump. So far it's the lowest in carbs

I'm lactose intolorent so I mostly use oat, coconut, or almond milk in my smoothies, i dont really drink milk stright anymore. Soy milk is super popular in Thailand and I drink it pretty frequently these. My partner drinks cows milk and i always forget what "gone off" dairy milk smells like so if i ever need to bake with it I always have to ask my partner if they think it's gone off. If you come back to thailand I know you like going to the fruit markets, but if you go into the big supermarkets like BigC or Robinson theres a really good selection of non-dairy milks. Vamino is my chocolate milk of choice but lactoysoy is very popular with students.

Haven't watched until the end yet, but if the winner isn't Elmhurt's Milked Cashews then... well, you're wrong. Easily the best nut/plant milk I've ever tried. It has a creamy consistency that most other plant milks lack, tastes amazing, works great in coffee and doesn't have a bunch of chemical additives and adjuncts. The unsweetened version has just two ingredients: filtered water and cashews! The one downside is it's a little pricey. The only reason you might like some other milk is because you have never tried Elmhurst's Milked Cashews. This is not an ad, btw, I just can't recommend this milk enough. Their other nut milks are all better than their competitors too, but Cashew is Queen. EDIT: lol, the cashew won! Making a part two is kind of pointless anyway. After all, we all know who the ultimate winner will be...
